Checking on the North

Damien stood tall as the last of the undead beasts was felled.

"This evil is too close to my heart... It must be destroyed. Rogue, we must make haste to the north! Where is the leader of this caravan?"

Rogue walked over to the caravan, the leader had heard the tall man proclaim and with much grace he began to speak. "Thank you so much.. both of you. Our guards were dead and we would be too if you hadn't arrived."

"Yeah and it wasn't easy either. I expect the fees you were going to pay the dead guys over there. In return we will escort you to the ranch." she said as she cleaned her self up significantly.

The man began to think, "That proposes a problem.. the men that you see were not working for money." Rogue began to wonder if she would ever get anything out of this adventure until the man continued. "They were working merely for this old shoes, they give anyone walking in them the ability to move at the speeds of the goddesses." Rogue began to anticipate the possibilities as the man finished. "Though you will only get it on our safe arrival at Lon Lon Ranch but I don't have anything for your friend."

She waited for Damien to accept as he was the one wanting to accompany him.

Damien seemed to stand put and not move just glaring at the North sadistically. Rogue seemed to realize that he was always very mysterious so she decided not to waste anymore time and instead decided to help the people fix the cart. It was night time, so she had to be ready for another attack. The man lifted up the cart on one side to reapply the wheel that fell off. The undead creatures must have done this when they emerged from the ground. Rogue was wondering why the man didn't help them fight but refused to worry about it and instead slid the wheel back on. The thing that held the wheel on shattered so they would have to take it slow on the way there.

The sun was just rising as they set off on the horses, Rogue worried if they would get there before sundown. While the women slept the man who was directing the horses and Rogue who was keeping watch stayed awake. She had a strange sleep schedule worrying about people taking her treasure to sleep throughout the night instead opting to take several short naps. Just before nightfall they arrived in Lon Lon ranch and she was granted the boots. They didn't offer her however a place to stay for the night so she instead stalked around until everyone was in bed and practiced with her new shoes. She wondered what happened of Damien but didn't quite care enough to go find him.
