This was a blade Barth used to fight his many battles and it has seen a lot of blood. The back of the sword is flat, enabling Barth to rest it on his shoulder during use and downtime. Apart from this, the man has basically nothing. Appearance: The first thing people see when they look at Barth is his massive size. Standing at seven foot four and weighing three hundred and forty pounds in muscle, this man is a terrifying sight. The next thing people notice is that he's missing his entire left arm. This, however, is fortunate in that he's right handed. Barth's face is somewhat basic. He has a shaved head, though his hair is actually blond. Green eyes peer out of his head into whoever he wishes to intimidate. Oh, did I mention he was shirtless? No? Well he is. What better way to show off your power than that? He also wears basic brown pants and shoes. Personality: Bartholomew is a very outspoken man against Ganon. With no more than a mention of his minions being in an area, he’ll throw himself headfirst into the mess. Brash and bold, discretion is definitely not Barth’s strong point. He strives for full brutality towards those who follow Ganon, regardless of the circumstances. Whether this means scaring the people around him, so be it. A small price to pay; being feared for the successful eradication of the forces of Ganon. This also means that he isn’t a very good strategist. All the strategy he needs is chop chop chop. Though Barth is clearly a powerful person in stature and physique, he’s a bit far off from being an intellectual. That’s not to say he’s stupid, but most are above his intellect. Give him science, he won’t know. Give him poetry, he won’t care. Give him math, he’ll cut it in half with Reverend. His temper is held back with almost nothing, so he gets very emotional and aggressive towards anything he doesn’t like. Residence: Barth has a small home for himself in the eastern caves where he resides. There's basically just a bed there, as he doesn't see much need for anything else. Backstory: Bartholomew always wanted to be a hero. He lived in the eastern caves, and instead of fearing the creatures of Ganon's army, he strove to make himself far more powerful than them. Training his body fanatically, Barth ensured his diet was high in calcium and protein. A girl named Maria took notice of his actions and joined him in training. She was almost as diligent as he was, and the two got along very well, with a common hatred. Barth grew rapidly, working out a lot and training with heavy weapons. When his time came, at 18 he joined into the battalion force; however this meant leaving Maria. They'd trained together for 7 years, and both easily realized without saying that it had developed into much more. He promised to her that they'd marry when he returned, or when she joined. A week later, he learned that he'd take part in an initiative to strike against Ganon's army. It was a suicide mission, but Barth needed to succeed. He'd promised to Maria that he would. He set out into the depths of southern Hyrule, attacking all signs of Ganon's influence they could find. Eventually, though, they bit off more than they could chew. A small army of moblins stood before them, but they stood and fraught anyway, their fanaticism taking priority over reason. It was largely a massacre, and almost every single person in the team died violently. Barth, with his mighty blade Reverend, fought valiantly, losing count of how many enemies fell before his blade. He felt good. Powerful, even invincible maybe. These thoughts were torn from his mind as a blade from a moblin's spear ripped upwards, cutting off his left arm. He stumbled in pain, decapitating the moblin who'd so badly wounded him. Blood loss made his vision blurry and he was soon stabbed in the chest by another enemy. He fell down, feeling pain engulf him. In a matter of a split second, he saw it all. His life before his eyes. Bright lights. His afterlife. Maybe just stress and adrenaline fueled hallucinations, but he saw Maria. That face... It was all it took to twist his body, dodging a killing blow to the throat. Using his shoulder as a balance for the sword to keep it up, he slashed through another moblin, looking around at his dead brethren, realizing he had to retreat. Cutting his way out, he made it a safe distance away before adrenaline wore off and the pain engulfed him, making him pass out. When he awoke, he was back in the eastern caves, as apparently a second team had been sent. With a lump in his throat, he asked of Maria. She was on that team, and a no survivor report had been sent back. Barth was depressed for a long time over this, as if he hadn't failed she'd still be alive. He made a resolve to abandon all else but fighting the power of Ganon. Using all resolve he had in him, to his last breath he would fight. Anyone corrupt... Anyone evil. The anger coursed through him as he made his final resolve. "I'll make a beast out myself. Gets rid of all the pain of being a man."
