    (5/1/2) (+3 Power, +1 Courage)

    Abilities:
Gerudo Dragon (Wind Effect) - The user's fist or weapon flashes with power, and they then lunge forward to deal a vicious uppercut, unleashing some form of effect with their fist or a melee weapon in the process.

Wall Kick - Growing up in a society that highly values athletic ability and combat strength, the wall kick is one of many abilities a young Gerudo will be expected to master. She has trained in agility as well as power, and so as an adult possesses the nigh-superhuman ability to jump-kick off walls with ease, even several times consecutively.

    Treasures:
    Rupee - 0

Roc's Feather - When this feather is held in one's grip or worn, it makes one incredibly light, enabling them to jump twice or thrice the height they were capable of before... as well as other effects, such as being able to run a bit faster or being more easily grappled by an enemy.

Hawkeye - The Hawkeye appears as a mask covering the top half of the user's face stylized in the form of a Hawk's face. When worn and viewed through, it functions almost identically to modern binoculars.

A pair of rugged and worn leather boots, they seem like a regular pair of boots except for some faintly etched runes that cover the bottom of the boots. While these boots are worn, the person is able to drop from virtually any height and, as long as they land on their feet first, will take no damage, but will probably be forced into a crouching position when they land after jumping from larger heights. If the user does not land on their feet first, then the boots can not take effect.

    Equipment:
Ave's lust for wandering leads her to carry around very little. What she does carry is stored in a leather pack on her back, held in place by a thick strap over each shoulder. At the bottom of the pack is a blanket made of a thick, course wool-like substance that is very effective at keeping the weather out, and body heat in. Packed in a ball on top of the blanket is a long hooded cloak made of a light jet black cloth. When worn, the cloak is long enough to drag on the ground, and the hood is deep enough to completely cover her face when pulled tight against the back of her head. The final two items in the pack are an empty rupee pouch, and rations. Ave likes to carry with her a weeks worth of hardtack rations, and two full water skins, should she be found unable to procure better food.

Hidden under the backpack, off center to the left of her back, is a sheathed dagger. The handle is facing downward for quick and easy access. The dagger itself is long, with a 1-foot long dual edged blade. The blade is 1-inch wide at the hilt, and tapers gradually to a sharp point. Both edges of the blade are sharpened, allowing it to be used as a slashing or stabbing weapon. The handle of the dagger is slightly longer than a closed fist, and is wrapped tightly with a soft black leather.

Ave never leaves home without her favourite weapon, a Double-bladed Spear. The shaft of the spear is 4-feet long, and made of hardened wood, roughly 1-inch in diameter. Each end of the shaft features a 1-foot long blade. The blades are each slightly more than 1-inch wide at the shaft, gradually and smoothly widening to 2-inches roughly 3/4 of the length to the tip. The blades then smoothly taper down to a sharp point. Both edges of each blade are sharpened. The weapon can be used to slash or stab, but is more effective at slashing. The spear is fairly light, but it exceedingly difficult to wield unless the wielder knows how to use it. Fortunately Ave does.

    Pet:
Flying Mount, Wyvern - When Ave finished her Warrior Training her mother offered to get her anything she desired, within reason of course, as a congratulatory present. Ave thought long and hard about this offer, but could come up with nothing she needed or wanted. Her mother was disappointed, as she had wanted very much to get her daughter a physical representation of her pride. Ave wanted to give her mother what she wanted, but could think of nothing until one day a few weeks later. Ave was on her daily jog outside of the Fortress when a shadow passed over her. She looked up and gripped her dagger, expecting an attack, but saw only a Gerudo warrior riding upon the back of a wondrous winged creature. It was then that she knew what she wanted from her mother. She finished her jog, and then returned home. She quickly went to find her mother, and told her what she had seen. Her mother smiled, and went out right away to find this gift. Two days later Ave met up with her mother, and was handed a slip of paper. The paper simply said a location. Ave hurried to the location on the paper, and found herself at a stable of sorts high in the mountains above the Fortress. In this stable was a vast assortment of that creature she had seen. A woman approached her as she entered.

"Ave?" When she nodded the woman smiled and said "Come with me." The two Gerudos walked to the back of the stable, and the woman pointed to a young creature. "This Wyvern is yours. His name is Altair. He is mature enough to ride, so, when would you like to begin?" Ave's mother had not only bought her this beautiful black Wyvern, but had paid for lessons in riding it as well. A week later Ave and Altair were soaring through the skies over the desert as if they were both born there. They have been flying together for ten years now, and are capable of judging each others movements so accurately that Altair can fly and maneuver without any guidance from his master.

    Height:
    6' 2"

    Weight:
    180 lbs.

    Appearance:
Ave looks much like her mother, but is built slightly heavier. She stands 6' 2", and weighs 180 pounds. Her hair is long and thick, and is a light brown colour. Her hair was considerably darker when she was a child, but has been lightened due to many days spent in direct sunlight. This also accounts for her skin tone. While Gerudo's tend to have a darker skin tone, Ave's is dark even for her race. Her skin is a dark brown, which looks even darker next to her light hair. Her face is angular, with sharp cheek bones and a thin chin. She has a smaller nose than her mom, which is probably thanks to her Hylian father. Ave's eyes are her defining feature. They are a deep crimson akin to a stormy sunset. Her mother has said many times that her eyes are a representation of her pure warrior spirit.

Ave is built for fighting. Her body, although slender, is a mass of muscle. At first glance Ave appears to be thin and smooth, but that is dispelled upon a closer look. Her arms, legs and stomach are hard and tight with highly defined muscles. They are not worked to the point of looking grotesque, but are powerful nonetheless. Her thighs are wide, built up from many years of running, and her calves are defined. Ave's breasts are somewhat volumous, but are held tightly in place by a cloth undershirt at all times, even while sleeping. Her hands are of average size, and are surprisingly soft, considering the years of weapon training she went through. This is due to her religiously wearing tight, fingerless leather gloves while training or fighting.

Although she is a warrior at heart, Ave still dresses like a lady. Her garb of choice is a long, cream-coloured cloth dress. This dress is sleeveless, and elegantly crosses her chest over both shoulders. At the neck there is a deep V-cut, reaching down to her stomach. Under this opening, and covering only her breasts, is a tight white cloth undershirt. Around her hips, and only 3 inches under the bottom of the V, is a thick black leather belt. This belt holds the dress in place, and serves to make her look slightly tougher. The bottom of the dress reaches to just above the tops of her feet. Down the center of the bottom half of the dress is a split. The split starts mid thigh, and allows for full movement, as well as the ability to ride a mount while wearing the dress. Under the dress Ave wears tight black cloth leggings, reaching from her waist to just above her knees. The purpose of these is to prevent any embarrassment, or distraction, while fighting or riding. On her feet Ave wears a rough pair of leather boots, that cover her feet from sole to just above each ankle. These can be tied tightly with leather clasps and straps, and are very easy to run in. On her hands Ave wears tight black, fingerless gloves. These have padded palms to reduce shock when fighting with a blade. They also serve to protect her hands from callousing and splitting, while looking cool.

Ave chooses not to wear much jewelry. She does choose to wear two special items though. Around her neck is a silver pendant set with a small, tear shaped ruby. This pendant, while having no magical ability, holds great value in her family. This pendant was originally crafted, and worn, by her great great grandmother. It is passed down to the oldest daughter of every generation once they reach womanhood. This will one day be passed down to Ave's daughter, when she comes of age. The second piece of jewelry Ave wears is a small silver ring. This ring is worn on the index finger of her right hand, and is a symbol of the strange relationship between her and the father of her child.

    Residence:
Ave lives in a stone house built into an interior cave wall. This house is only two rooms, and is owned by her mother. The house was originally bought by her mother to be rented out to travelers, but it was lent to Ave when she moved out of the family home. Since Ave spends much of her time away from the Fortress this setup works great for her. When Ave isn't at home her daughter looks after the house.

The first room of the house is also the bottom floor. Although it is carved directly into a wall, the walls are smooth. The room is lit by a hearth and several oil lamps, all of which are burning almost constantly. This room contains cold storage, a dining area, and a staircase. The cold storage is carved into the left wall, and is closed off by a heavy iron door. The interior holds cut meat and fish, kept cold by magical ice. The dining area is nothing more than a circular wooden table surrounded by four wooden chairs. A lamp hangs on either side of the door, and another on each wall. At the back of the room, in the right corner, there is a circular metal staircase leading up to the second floor.

The second floor contains two single beds separated by a cloth divider. The divider can be drawn back against the wall, opening the room up. Each bed has a chest at the foot of it for storage. Ave sleeps in the right bed, and her daughter sleeps on the left. On the wall beside each bed there is a single oil lamp. There is one more lamp next to the staircase. When Ave and her daughter go to bed at the same time they generally leave the divider open, but both occasionally like their privacy.

    Backstory:
Ave's mother was a Gerudo Warrior, who had "convinced" a hylian man to father her child. Once she had become pregnant, Ave's mother let the Hylian man leave, and never spoke with him again. No one even knew his name. Ave's mother never spoke of him, until she was much older.

From the moment Ave could walk, she was trained to fight. It started out basic, with her mother just teaching her restraint and control. By the time she was ten Ave could run for 5 hours straight. She began formal Warrior training on her tenth birthday. Ave was placed in a class with 19 other Gerudo children, and was taught in the ways of combat. She did not excel in combat; compared to her class mates, Ave was average at best. She was fast, and agile, but never enjoyed hand to hand fighting. Endurance and agility were her strong points. It was rare that one of her classmates could out run her, or beat her on any obstacle course. Her instructors were impressed by her agility, and began to teach her to wield a Double-Bladed spear. Ave took to it instantly, and mastered it before her eight years of training had finished.

One day, shortly after Ave's fifteenth birthday, she heard an exotic beat echoing out of a tunnel. Curious, she followed the sound, and soon stumbled into a large room. In the center of the room sat, in a circle, a group of Gerudo and Gorons. They all held hand drums, and were beating out the exotic sound that Ave had heard. A Goron danced wildly in the center of the group. Ave was intrigued. She had rarely heard music, and had never seen a dance this wild. Watching from a distance, Ave began to copy the Goron. Soon she noticed the pattern of his dance, and matched it. It was a matter of minutes before she had broken into a wild dance of her own. By now, the group had noticed her, and were watching. Some of them laughed joyously at her display, and they increased the pace of their beat. Ave kept up, and whirled around the room, laughing the whole time. When the beat stopped, Ave waved goodbye to the group, some of who were applauding her, and left. When ever she had the chance after that day, Ave would dance. She soon began to use it as a workout. It increased her endurance for more than just running, and even helped her in hand to hand combat.

Three years after she discovered dance, Ave graduated her Warrior training. She moved out of her mother house, into the rental that the family had kept. Her mother was extremely proud, and bought her a Wyvern. Ave spent every day after that practicing flight on her new companion. After falling many times, the pair soon grew used to each other. On her twentieth birthday Ave decided it was time to see the world. She left on her Wyvern, and flew north to Castle-Town. Here she became friends with a member of the Hyrule Guard. The guard, a young man named Nythan Bullion, was the first man Ave had ever had contact with. She was nervous at first, but Nythan was patient, and friendly, so Ave soon grew to trust him. Nythan got her a job with the Guard, as a scout. She would fly ahead of patrols scanning the area with her Hawkeye (which was a present from Nythan when she began working for the Guard). This work brought in no money, but she was allowed to live in the barracks. Ave spent a year working with the Guard, and in that time her and Nythan grew very close. After only two months they were inseparable. By the eight month they were sharing a room in the barracks. Only eleven months after arriving in the city, Ave was pregnant with Nythan's child. A month later the unthinkable happened.

On that fateful day, Ave was in her room in the barracks resting. Nythan had come home from patrol, and came into the room looking rather nervous. He walked over to her, shifting his weight from foot to foot.

"Ave, I need to be direct. I know your people don't do this... but I'd like you to be my wife." Ave nodded and smiled, leaping up to hug this man. The idea of marriage was foreign and confusing to her, but the last year had changed her a lot. Nythan had to leave that night, with a small army, to raze a bandit encampment. The bandits had been preying on farmers and travelers from Lon Lon Ranch, and the Guard intended to stop it. Ave hugged her man when he left, and went to sleep. She awoke to the sound of knocking on the door. She quickly made herself decent, and then opened the door. A Guard Captain in full dress armor stood before her. He handed her a letter, saluted and left. It was the salute that threw her off. She nervously opened the letter. The raid had gone bad. A dozen Guards had been killed. Nythan was among the casualties. Two hours later Ave was flying back to the Eastern Caves.

She stayed at home for the next 8 months, until she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. She named her daughter Nina Bullion, in honour of the man she had loved despite her peoples customs. Ave never took off the simple ring Nythan had given her, and told her daughter many stories about him. Ave raised Nina to be strong, and fast, much like Ave's mother had raised her. They lived together for seven years, and Nina grew to be both strong, and kind. She was now old enough, and mature enough, to look after herself while her mother was away, so Ave took a job scouting for hunters and soldiers in Southern Hyrule. Ave's mother helped look after Nina while Ave was gone. The family was close, but her mother never understood the bond Ave had shared with Nythan. She told her to "take" another man, have another child. But Ave never did. Certain bonds cannot be broken, even through death.

Re: Ave Tunama [ready to be graded]

I quite liked it, it gave a more human side to Gerudo's and relationships, rather than "Rawr, you Hylian men will make us babies!" which honestly made me feel a lot more for her. I personally don't find anything objectionable, so I'm going to accept this.

One little thing though, as I mentioned in the cbox, by the time Ave would have met her husband, there would have been no "travelers from the south" unless I'm not understanding what that means.
