    Name: Ariala
    Age: Sixteen
    Gender: Female
    Race: Rito
Place of Origin: Dragon Roost Isle
    PWC: 2/1/4
    Instrument: Voice
    Treasures:
    Boomerang
    Hawkeye
    Wind's Requiem
    Song of Healing
    Song of Storms
    Grappling Hook

    Height: 5'1"
    Weight: 115 lbs.

Equipment: Not much. The items she carries on her varies depending on location, but she can always be found carrying around her boomerang in a 'holster' strapped to her side, as well as her hawkeye which she is usually seen wearing. Otherwise, the only equipment she really has is the drawstring pouch around her shoulder that holds her money and grappling hook.

Appearance: Ariala probably doesn't look very intimidating. She's short, with stubby arms and a small beak that comes to a very slender point inbetween her eyes. Her head is round and much bigger in proportion to the rest of her features, but her bushy tangle of wavy brown hair does a good job of framing these tiny parts. They give her a certain...elegance, if you will.

Clothing wise, Ariala keeps it very simple. No jewelry; it's expensive and can get lost while dungeon crawling. And really, why keep jewlery to wear when you can sell it for money?

Anyway, she generally wears a basic leather tunic that extends to just above her knees; brown and lightweight. The hemming on the sleeves are embroidered with all the colors of the rainbow, while the hemming at the bottom is a solid purple. From the sleeves of her tunic, the 'sleeves' of her wings extend. They're short, much like the rest of her appearance, but make no mistake. She can fly just as well with them.

Underneath her tunic are a pair of green leggings, which actually look more like modern day shorts. They rest on her knees rather than her ankles which is traditional of most Rito clothing. She finds the shorter length of fabric to be better for traveling than the longer kind.

The rest of her features are very Rito; pale skin, red eyes, talonless feet that still resemble a bird's. Ariala has always wished she was one of the few that grew talons along with her wings, but alas she is not.

Personality: What Rito doesn't love to adventure?! Ariala loves the thrill of spelunking through caves and raiding ancient ruins. She loves the rush of sneaking past guards, or the challenge of solving puzzles and breaking out of a jail cell. Because of this, she seems to take serious situations a little nonchalantly; there's always a solution in her book, and while things may seem grim from time to time, there's bound to be a hidden lever or secret passage somewhere.

She has a penchant for buisness, and admires the traveling Goron merchants that sell things abroad. While being an adventurer is on the top of her list of goals, she understands the need for money, and what better way to make a quick buck than to sell extra treasures she finds?

Ariala has a beautiful singing voice; one of the best out of anyone she knows. She's a bit insecure about her musical abilities, and while she will admit that she does possess a sort of...magical affinity for music, she can be stubborn to actually use it. Which, by the way, is something she struggles with a lot. Being stubborn. She has all of these whimsical ideas about how things should be, and she sticks with them fiercely, usually to others' annoyance.

    She's a dreamer, for sure.

One should be wary when assoiciating with Ariala, though. She is a rather pleasant person to be around. Cheerful and full of energy and determination. But, there is a certain crookedness to her beliefs. Thievery, for one, is not against her morals. Regardless of who the victim is. Who knows what other odd things she could be capable of?

Residence: Dragon Roost Isle houses all of the Rito people-- even Ariala. Although she doesn't stay in one place for very long, she does have a grotto somewhere on the isle where she can retire too after a long adventure. She mostly uses it as a safe for her treasures.

Pet: Why would Ariala have a pet? It would just get in the way of all her adventuring! Although, she wouldn't be against obtaining one if the right little fellow came along. For now though, she is petless.

Backstory: While it's a cliche to live without one's parents, Ariala has had the unfortunate luck to have just that. Her mother died during child labor, and she hasn't seen her father since she was ten. He left her in the care of another Rito family in order to help the Hylian defense against Ganon, and well...he never returned. He wrote letters for awhile; she keeps them locked in her grotto somewhere.

When Ariala received her wings, she left her 'foster family' and searched for a place of her own, which is where she found her grotto. It's a somewhat large cave not too secluded from the rest of Dragon Roost's population. She doesn't understand why it's gone unused for so long, but she makes use of its many storage areas and large living space, and no one has questioned it thus far. One of the storage areas even had items for her to take-- the birth of her adventuring, some could say.

This was where she found her boomerang and hawkeye.

Afterwhich she did a lot of exploring around Dragon Roost itself, learning the Wind's Requiem, and getting aquainted with the rest of her home. It's funny how little people actually know about where they live during their lifetime; you have to actually go out and travel to learn, even if it's your own backyard.

The only other place Ariala has been to thus far (and she won't ever admit this because it's embarassing as an adventurer) is Hyrule-Castle Town, which is where she picked up the ability to sing the Song of Storms and the Song of Healing.

For the most part, she likes to brag about all the things she's done, but really, only the naive should believe her. Being on Dragon Roost has blessed her with the seclusion to not be a target of Ganon's minions, and she's lived a relatively peaceful life despite throwing herself into danger when she can. And hello...she's only sixteen. It's not like she's been alive long enough to have much of a history.

Loved the way you point out the flaws of an orphaned backstory, I've always liked your humor. There is nothing here that would make this not pass. I like the character. I just hope for a return of Reu one day. :p
