On one fateful morning while Kaiyo was still sound asleep in his pool there was a knock outside his cave that woke him up. He got out and streched his arms out wide as yawned and walked over to the entrence. "Hello..." He said lazily. It was the Zora mailman, this tipped Kaiyo off even in his state he rearly recieved anything, and when he did it was normally in person.

He grabbed the package. On top was a letter that was tied down so that it wouldn't fall off. He read the letter to himself.

You have been chosen to go to the Eastern Sea to pickup and deliever a special tunic.
You can pick up this tunic in the Eastern Sea home of our kin, the Eastern Zoras.
The tunic will then be delivered to Hyrule Castle-Town, and given to one of the Royal gaurds around the castle.
We hope that the gift in the box will help you along this journey.

He opened up the box and inside of it was a holder for his spear. He fiddled with it to get it ajusted onto his slender back and then placed his spear inside of it.Well no time like the present to go. It will take me a few days just to reach the Eastern Sea; let alone go to Hyrule Castle-Town and then back here.....What a tedious job. With that he pt on his helmet, his water proof bag, and his shash with a bottle. He knew he'd need it when he went on to dry land.

Once ready he walked off and went to the waterfall that lead out of Zora Domain and into Lake Hylia. Knowing that he wouldn't see home for a while he took one last glance at serenaty that was his home.Look back maybe I shouldn't have been so eager to leave, this place is paradice and I took it for granted. He sighed, and then faced the waterfall, and then leaped off of it, and into the brisk water.

In the water filled tunnel that lead to Lake Hylia it was rather devode of light, and it gave Kaiyo to think about the jouney he was setting off on. He could die on this journey. Man what a drag it would be to die alone in the middle of no where. I haven't even had a girlfriend yet, I'm a sad excuse for a Zora. When the waterfall drained into Lake Hylia he decided to grab a bite , and found a nice eel. He killed it and began eating, now with his stomach full he set of south for the river that leads to The Eastern Sea.

What a dreary day... Ave flew in circles around the entrence to the Eastern Caves. It had been days since she had been given work; she was not one to sit around, but life was slow. She had spent the morning with her daughter, Nina. The young girl had accompanied her mother on Ave's morning run, which lasted until well after sunrise. After bathing, the pair went to a gymnasium to practice dance. Nina was a fast learner, but was not yet as controlled or agile as her mother. The remainder of Nina's day was spent relaxing, so Ave went flying instead. Her and Altair had been soared through the clear skies for nearly two hours when they spotted a dust cloud to the north. Ave pulled out her Hawkeye, and pressed it to her lips once before placing it over her eyes. Her view was instantly magnified. The dust cloud turned out to be a rider. Ave went higher, then flew towards the riders. Upon closer inspection, the rider appeared to be a Hylian woman on a grey steed. Ave followed her from the air until they reached the Caves. As the rider stopped at the entrence, Altair descended, and landed to their left. Ave jumped down, and walked forward to where the riders spoke with the guards.

"... yes, we know who she is. I have heard of her, and require her aid. Please lead me to her." Ave walked up, and looked at the guards, who pointed at her. The Hylian woman turned and walked her horse over to Ave. "Ave Tunama?" When Ave nodded, she smiled. "Good, I found you. I heard you are an experienced scout. This would mean you know the land well, yes?" Ave nodded again. "I also heard you worked with the Guard in Northern Hyrule. Do you still know the land there? Ave looked the woman in the eyes, trying to judge where this was going.

"Yes, I know Northern Hyrule. Altair and I spent many days flying over it. What is the purpose of this?" Ave wanted to stay here, near the caves, and away from any memories of the man she had loved. Even 8 years later, that wound was still raw and sore. However, work was work, and Ave had grown bored again. The woman who was doing all the talking smiled once, and then replied.

"Good. I have a job for you. Myr husband, along with 9 others, left on a hunt near the Eastern Sea two weeks ago. Three patrols have searched for them since, but to no avail. We were running out of options when a Guard in Castle-Town told me about you. It was a long journey to get to you here. If you take the job, you will be compensated." Ave looked at the ground and thought for a moment, before meeting the womans eyes once again.

"I will take your job, but I do not need payment. Altair and myself will leave at sunrise. I'd suggest you rest up here for awhile before returning home." The woman smiled and thanked Ave, who nodded, and turned back to Altair. She lept onto his back, and they began to fly. Altair knew where Ave wanted to go; the stables in the mountains. Their day of flight was over, and Altair needed rest. Ave needed to tell Nina. She won't be happy.

    --------------------

It turned out that Nina wasn't happy. She stormed upstairs as soon as Ave broke the news. Fortunately, it wasn't long before she came back down. They spent the rest of that day together.

    --------------------

As soon as the sun rose, Ave was off. She sat on Altairs back as they flew north. It had been awhile since she had been on a real adventure.

Kaiyo continued heading down stream he had just eaten so he wouldn't be stopping anytime soon. He rose up a bit so that his dorsal fin was out of the water. He wanted to get their quickly, but at the same time he did not want the journey to end quickly. He was torn he loved the sence of seeing new places but at the same time he didn't like being away from home as long as he was.

    --------------------------------

Once night fall came Kaiyo made a small fire, enough to see, but not enough to dry his skin out. He caught a few fish and began cooking them over the fire. It would still be a few days till he reached the Easter see borders so he didn't have much time to eat the fish he was used to. Once one fish was done he started eating it while the other one was still cooking.

Ave flew north, the coast of the Eastern Sea to her right, within constant sight. The first night, Ave camped several miles to the east of Ruto. She slept under the stars, ever watched over by the faithful Altair. Even after flying for a full day, Altair needed little rest. The night passed without incident, and Ave awoke with the sun. She and Altair set off after a quickly breaking their nightly fast.

Another day passed in the air. Altair flew high, to avoid being seen from the ground, and several hours before nightfall they reached the Sea.

    "We will camp here, Altair."

Once daybreak had reached Kaiyo set off once more. He swam as quickly as he could but when he reached the water way which drains to the Eastern Sea it was faster than expected. He reached the end of it a bit bursied from hitting rocks, and notice that nightfall was almost upon them. He saw Altair decend. What do these travlers have in a place of Zora living. He swam towards them slowly that way his precence would hopefully go unnoticed.

Ave looked around the new campsite. It looked safe enough... undisturbed and wild. Perfect. She was about to set up a small sod cooking fire when Altair froze, his keen eyes locked the Sea. Ave leaped up, spear in hand, and ran back to his side. She matched his gaze, but due to his eye sight being many times greater than hers, it was several minutes before she noticed what had caught her companions eye. A shadowy presence was swimming towards them; just under the surface, but deep enough to not disturb the calm of the water. No ripples marked its trajectory. Ave stood tall, and waited until the shadow was a dozen yards from the shore. She reared back her head and, drawing air from deep below her diaphragm, shouted as only a warrior could.

"You! Creature of the water! If you understand my words reveal yourself, or prepare to meet your death! Speak up, or Altair will feast upon your wasted carcass this night!" She lowered her head. Under water the creature would not have heard her shout, as loud as it was, but she hoped it was watching her. She took up a fighting position, casually whirling her Double-bladed Spear in lazy circles. Hearing her words or not, Ave's intention were clear; she was ready for whatever threat could rise from that water. Altair took to the skies and hovered behind her, wings beating the air mightily. Dust rose from the sand around them, and grass swayed under the onslaught of his beating wings. I'm not in the mood for this... you better be friendly, creature...

Kaiyopopped outof the water. "Whoh, I didn't come her looking for a fight." Kaiyo to her. "I just wanted to learn of your purpose for being here." Kaiyo spoke like he hoped she was friendly, because the last thing he wanted to happen was die.

As the creature revealed itself, and turned out to be a Zora, Ave relaxed. The Zora, while appearing slightly feminine, spoke like a male, and thus she judged this Zora was a "he". As Ave lowered her blade, Altair lowered himself onto the ground behind her. He curled up on the sand, but kept an eye on the Zora. Ave thrust the blade of her spear into the sand, burying it nearly half a foot, and took a step towards the Zora. She extended her hand in a friendly greeting.

"Hello, Zora. I am Ave Tunama. I apologize for that aggressive display... one must be careful these days." Ave gestured to the half asleep Wyvern. "Altair and myself are searching for some lost Hylian hunters, who are said to be in this area. What is your purpose in this area?" While even Ave found it strange to ask a Zora what he was doing in the Sea, she assumed from his manner that he was not of the Sea; that he had come from somewhere a little safer. But one could only guess. For the time being, she had no quarrel with this Zora, and saw no reason to not be friendly.

"Me, well I came here to pick something up, and then delever it to Hyrule Castle-Town you see." Kaiyo spoke very kind, and was happy that Ave wasn't an enemy. "Ah, but where are my manners I haven't introduced myself, I am Kaiyo, and as I'm sure you have guessed I am not of the Eastern Sea, I came here from Zora's Domaine in Lake Hylia." He smiled at her as he spoke.

Ave cocked her head to the side at Kaiyo's response. She knew he was not from the Sea, but all the way from the Domain? That was a long swim, just for a delivery.

    "A delivery? Of what sort?"

"It's some sort of special tunic." Kaiyo explained to Ave as he sat down in the water.

Ave looked quizzically at the Zora.

"A tunic? Where are you picking it up?"

Kaiyo was about to answer but he didn't have an actual answer. "I honestly don't know. I know it has to do with my brethren in the sea, and that's about it."

Ave looked at the Zora incredulously.

"Surely you didn't come all this way with no knowledge of where you are actually going?" Ave shook her head. How naive.

Kaiyo laughed nervously at Ave's question. "Surly it can't be that hard to find the place."

Ave shook her head, and covered her face with the palm of her hand.

"Do you have any idea how large this Sea is? how much territory is covered by your kind here? And how many damn tunics there are in this place?" Ave shook her head again. "I will help you locate your goal. You will probably get killed without me."

"Well I don't think I'd get killed, but if you think it neccisary then by all means you can come with me." Kaiyo explained to Ave with a smile on his face, "afterwords I might be able to help you with your mission. Does that sound like a fair trade-off to you, Miss Ave?"

Ave shook her head. She couldn't let this naive Zora rush off into the Eastern Sea on his own, let alone cross Northern Hyrule without an escort. Upon Altair, she would have no issue following the young Zora, providing he stayed just under the surface of the water. She thought about the Zora's proposition. While she didn't need his help to locate the lost hunters, this young Zora may prove to be good company. He would slow her down on land, but would be a definite asset over the water. She looked at Altair, who seeming to know what she was thinking, cocked his head to the left and then seemed to nod. Ave looked back at the Zora.

"Alright. The sun will be down soon. Altair and myself are camping here. Feel free to do what you wish. We can leave on your mission at first light." Ave turned and walked away from the waters edge, searching for an ideal location for a small, smoke-less fire. Finding a spot, she sat down and began to light it. I hope this Zora has his own food. I didn't bring enough for two. "Altair, go hunt." The Wyvren lept into the air and took off in search of game.

"Okay," was Kaiyo's responce to what Ave had told him. "Also I know how to hunt fish, so I'll get us something to eat." Kaiyo told Ave as he diove into the sea. He swam untill he found a decent sized fish and be headed it. This should be good for me, but I should be nice and get her some food too. He continued hunting on and found another decent sized fish and struck it down too.

Moments later Kaiyo came out of the water and looked at Ave. "Well Miss Ave I was able to find two fish that would make a decent meal, so if you would be kind of enough to start a fire so we can cook them that would be most terrific."
