Airianna stretched as she sat up on her lumpy mattress, popping a few joints as she went. She ran her fingers through her hair, and stood up, Teral hopped over next to her, and squealed loudly. She smiled and lifted her pet into her arms, and absently started to stroke it between it's ears, making him coo gently and close his eyes. She absently sat down at the table, then set Teral on it, and walked to her wash bucket. She noted that she'd have to change the water out sooner or later, preferably sooner, she thought she saw a stray bit of last weeks dinner floating in there, before splashing the water on her face, probably doing less good then she hoped.
She prepared herself a simple breakfast of Cuccoo eggs, quickly ate most of them, scrapped what was left onto the floor for Teral, kissed him on his furry head as he devoured the eggs, and turned to walk out of her home.
As she walked out the open entrance to the cave, a man bolted past her, headed away from the "city." She called after him, but he was long gone before her voice could reach him. She quickly turned, and sprinted to the Western Caves, her heart pounding in worry as she got closer and saw a small plume of smoke drifting lazily through the air, thicker than any cooking fire she'd ever seen produce. As she skidded into the boundaries, the first thing she noticed were the tracks. She crouched and ran her finger along the edge, helping define them. 'Moblins' she thought, recognizing the distinctive hoof shape they left, and the trail left by them dragging their weapons through the dirt.
She glanced at the nearest tree, and using the magic in her Roc's Feather, lept up, barely catching a branch, and attempted to pull herself up. After a moment of struggling, she managed to swing her leg onto the branch, and get enough leverage to lift the rest of her up. She let out a breath, and stood up, balancing carefully, and looked over the area. She could see a couple of people running towards her, but she wasn't concerned about that right now. She hoped that the Moblins hadn't left already, to gather reinforcements to take their home again. The tears stung at the corner of her eyes as she thought back to Saria, but quickly pushed the thoughts from her mind, and focused on the task at hand.
With her little bit of skill and her Roc's Feather, Airianna jumped between trees, getting closer to the sounds of a battle ahead. She ran faster, praying to Farore to give her courage to keep going, and to Din that she wouln't fall, and have strength to aid the people.
