Great Ice Rider Gang Coat – White Hide Outfit: the Gang Coat is a hallmark of Aniki's animal rider gang, it has the words "Great Ice Rider Gang" written on the back in large block letters in a certain version of Hylian used by the Anouki. The markings on the white coat are surrounded by a dark blue circle nearly encapsulating the writing. At the bottom hem of the coat, rises a large number of yellow flames which circle the entire bottom end of it. The high collar of the coat almost looks like a hood, but stops partway into a wide collar. Had it been a hood, Aniki would have clipped it off as the Anouki have hood-like hides on their bodies already. It’s unclear whether his ordinary pelt or the coat uses more of his White Hide material—it is likely an even amount as they are meant to be worn together.

Yook-Bone Club: Aniki wields a Yook Femur as a weapon, he shows it off by hanging it over his shoulder often. The club is pretty good for smashing smaller animals for dinner, or in any case shaking things off of trees. He one day will have to use it as a real weapon, but his appearance-based gangster-isms never actually require him to fight often.

Sling: He also carries a primitive sling, as many hunters carry out to the frost to hunt. He carries it partially for mischief, though. A rock or different kinds of seeds are perfect ammunition for this classic but effective device.

Palm of Gohdan: On his right hand is a blue fingerless glove that blends well with his pelt. It was his old leader’s favorite treasure which he picked off his body in the great accident. He could have sworn he heard the leader utter something as he left the scene.

Stockings of Cowardice: Under his pelt, although he could try squeezing them over instead, are pale yellow stockings. They are an important piece of gear to him, as he is emotionally not confident in his own protection at times.

Pet: Meteor - Tundra Deerling: Meteor is an antlered deerling just large enough to fit Aniki on his back. With a creamy brown hide and some zig-zagged markings, Meteor is Aniki's chosen mount. The antlers of Meteor reach out just long enough for Aniki's flippers to reach out and hold as handle-bars. His large, expressive face conveys minor emotions to Aniki when he needs to care for the deer. Meteor eats most of the vegetables and fruits that Aniki finds, forcing him to scavenge for meats and fish.

Meteor has a semi-wild temperament, and doesn't always ride correctly. He sometimes refuses certain things from Aniki, or gets picky with his food. Meteor's greatest feature is how lithe and nimble he is, his light weight and the smallness of the Anouki make his rides quick and easy.

Appearance: Aniki has the major features of an Anouki, his pelt is a pale cyan color with the normal circular markings on his abdomen. His pelt has two oval outlines and a smaller oval in the center, then a small five-pointed star marking on the lower left of his chest. His intense and sharp eyebrows seem to offset how silly the starshaped mark on his pelt suit looks, but as he's an Anouki he still looks a bit goofy to your average Hylian.

Aniki's hood-like fur extends one tuft out over his forehead in a bizarre-looking pompadour. His intense and sort of squinty eyes are covered with small, circular sunglasses on most days to counter the glare on the ice from the sun. They also serve to improve the intimidating image he's going for. Aniki's antlers come out a little long and end in these small prongs with a rather odd shape to them. The growth spurt in his antlers have little explanation other than his parents' admission that he had a growth irregularity after puberty. Aniki's pouty mouth expresses to others how impatient he's likely to be with them. His puffy cheeks do less of a service to himself being taken seriously, however. At the ripe age of sixteen he's a bit small, further ruining his image. He's still likely about one-hundred and thirty pounds, and is formidable in a full-bodied attack. Aniki is attuned to fashion and is willing to wear just about anything he can get his hands on. It's likely he won't always look the same but he's attached to his coat, which he keeps with him wherever he goes.

Personality: Aniki was a bit rough and rebellious since childhood. Ridiculous and childish at times, he's hard to accept many things he's told. Harder still is that the Anouki elders are often ridiculous themselves, and their orders hard for even the sensible to understand. Aniki will hear out an elder or the mayor himself, only to scoff and spit on the ground in disrespect. The difficult teen will furthermore take this attitude around with him like an umbrella.

Anouki are in general, a strange but respectful culture. Although he keeps his company with delinquents, it’s unclear what outside influence made Aniki so disrespectful and rude. In a community of great equality, Aniki even shows unnecessary disrespect toward women. His speech can be harsh at times and it’s unclear whether he is ever singling out any one group. His tactic of intimidating and repelling those who talk to him has earned him many naysayers and rivals. While he is harsh at times, Aniki is not evil. He has a habit of doing the right thing with his actions even as he spews trashy language from his mouth.

Aniki learned friendship through his old boss, Great Aniki. Great Aniki showed him friendship through hardship and toughness and inspired Aniki to look for other friends after the great accident. Aniki has made fast friends with the Lizalfos Gyoma, a tough-guy animal caretaker. He has met many other notable people in his exploration of Hyrule, but of his new friends Gyoma is his most valuable ally and trusted friend.

Background: Aniki was born on the Great Ice Field in a small community of Anouki. The truth of the matter is that no one community of Anouki is ever large. The Anouki tribes of the ice field conserve resources by not settling all in one place, which in turn helps them distribute commodities like White Hide and the otherwise scarce food supplies. Aniki was born under another name, although nobody in the world currently knows what it originally was. In his early youth he was coddled and kept safe by older Anouki. It was possible he learned his bad language in his early childhood but it is unclear. The day he left the warmth of home to explore the field, he joined up with the Great Ice Rider Gang.

The adorable little Anouki looked up to his siblings of the saddle. They gave him a deer to ride alongside them, most of the thugs on the backs of quadrapedal Wolfos, tusked Bullbos, and reindeer. Their beasts were judged and rated on their statstics like speed and toughness. Most of all, highest ranks went to the most intimidating riders. There was a diverse cast of different races in the gang, but the leader Great Aniki was Anouki just like the little one. He called the little guy various nicknames, like “Skid” or “Teddy.” None of his pet names lasted long or stuck, until one fateful day.

One day on the tundra, the gang was taking a break from hunting and bothering people. The whole group had agreed to take a ride up Dead Man’s Turn. They were going to race and drift their mounts up the unsteady and sharp turns of the cliffside. The Great Ice Rider Gang was going to show off its greatest asset, competitive trick riding. They amassed a neat crowd composed of locals and visitors alike. The little guy mounted his new ride, a deerling he named Meteor. He was late to the entire race and his deerling wasn’t even fast enough to make it to the starting line before everyone took off.

Riders of all kinds took off up the slope, a path winding ever upward. The gaggle of riders, in their speed, finally reached the eponymous Dead Man’s Turn. With numerous riders skidding around and drifting on the makeshift siding, there was a crack in the cliffside. The entire road caved in with them on it and the resulting avalanche buried most of the riders in moments as the little Anouki caught up to the scene. Their twitching bodies poking out of the snow, the boy began to cry out in shock.

“ANIKIIIIII!” the boy shouted. The screams from below the snow were tearful, raw, and pained.

He dismounted his deerling and went to the banks of snow. A voice came out from the mound. “A-aniki” the voice echoed back. The crushed, fading voice told the boy all he needed to know. He assumed the whole gang had perished and ran off with his leader’s prized glove. It was true the accident was terrible, but hours later the majority of the gang had made it out uninjured. It was too late, however. The boy who was now called Aniki fled back to one of the Anouki settlements.

In lieu of storage, Aniki kept his most important belongings buried in the snow and flagged by a single stick with cloth on the end. He dug up all his valuables and sought to see Anouki society as it currently was. The mayor made him spit. The townspeople made him curse under his breath. Nobody would ever replace his beloved gang at this rate. All in all, the townspeople gave him the warmth of the fire, cozy surroundings and good food. Aniki’s heartbreaking loss continued to trouble him, though. He had heard many stories about life outside his small continent. He didn’t have anything specifically against the other Anouki, but it seemed he needed a change of scenery.

Aniki rode Meteor through the treacherous fields of tundra, determined to find the port. Discovering one of the correct roads, a barely marked trail of uneven snow, Aniki set his sights on Hyrule. Aniki boarded a boat for the commercial port of Mido. He arrived in good spirits, as the boat ride was not so cold as what he was used to. In Mido he immediately explored the stables and associated farmlands. He saw an unusual sight as he was comparing his deerling to the steeds.

Among the horses was a large Bullbo. Not far behind the creature was a Lizalfos, a creature not well associated with Hylians. Aniki got tough with the fellow, thinking him a rival gang member. He spat a few swears and the Lizalfos kindly asked him if he needed help with his mount. “I am Gyoma, remember my name!” Aniki saw his kindness as strange at first, but the Lizalfos was unshakibly nice and understanding. Something plucky and boyish about the Lizalfos made him seem like some kind of hero. The leather jacket the Lizalfos was wearing certainly made him look like a tough guy though.

“I’m gonna to teach you to be hard-boiled and manly like me!” Aniki asserted.

Gyoma had unwittingly become a member of Aniki’s new gang. The skull-hatted Lizalfos was going to have to throw out his to-do list, as the overbearing Anouki was his new boss. After a heartwarming session of Gyoma brushing the deerling clean, they left Mido to find something to do. It wouldn’t be hard to find evildoers to beat up, as there was evil afoot that fateful day.

Gyoma wasted no time on the road explaining the fiendish Manaku to Aniki. He was an overbearing and almost too-ridiculous-to-live Lynel who wouldn’t stop pestering Gyoma to join his army. With a target in sight, Aniki knew he was needed for something greater.

Manaku stood at his standing-desk in the woods. A skittish Bokoblin handed him a stack of papers. This day, he seemed a little unsettled, even such a stoic Lynel as he was. Manaku looked at his newest letter. It was a message from his next higher-up. The Boss. Manaku’s boss was cunning and cruel. The man was richer than a whole corporation, and stealthy to boot. Nobody in Manaku’s army had ever seen the Boss’s face. His massive quivering Lynel hands trembled as he opened the letter. It appeared to be what he had feared, an order. Probably with an attached threat no doubt. “The Boss will kill you!” it often said in the letters. Manaku couldn’t imagine what kind of monster would outrank a general Lynel in Ganon’s forces. Upon reading the letter, Manaku had his directive clear. He was to continue scouting for troops, and this time, he was to cut down anyone who got in his way to collect money from their lifeless bodies. His boss was the most black-hearted scoundrel, possibly in the entire world. Killing non-combatants just to pinch pennies? The Boss was the worst of the worst.

Manaku led a small force through Hyrule Field. Today was the day they would make headway on their goals. Hylian guards were great at dispatching his monstrous forces, but Manaku had an elite force with him. It was on this day of star-aligning destiny that Gyoma and Aniki would be riding down the road. They had watched fearfully as Hylian Guards on horseback tucked tail and rode with haste in the opposite direction. Aniki rode ahead, watching as the shadowy group of monsters finally came into view.

“The Great Ice Rider Gang rides again!” Aniki shouted at the top of his lungs.

A troop of full-sized Moblins came together to meet the kid. Gyoma caught up to the little one’s tail. The Moblins saw a Lizalfos atop a Bullbo and eased their weapons. In fact, upon seeing the assumed poor Anouki in front of them, they abandoned their directive to kill for money. Aniki barked at the Moblin squad. His words were unintelligible. Gyoma ran up to hold the little one back as he raised his bone club to attack. “Manaku. . .” Gyoma hissed.

The Lynel approached, coming just close enough to witness the scene. He clapped his hands together. That was the little Lizalfos he had kept trying to recruit. To Manaku, neither seething delinquent was any sort of threat to him. With the clapping of his hands, the Moblins retreated, laughing about the two kids. He would murder no-one for pocket change this day, but Manaku had something amusing to add to his notes. Maybe with a little practice, he’d make that Lizalfos a real soldier one day. Manaku abandoned his raid, returning home to a letter advising him to commit some kind of insurance fraud. His boss was just the worst.

Aniki reached Castle Town with Gyoma eventually. He had quite the story for the townspeople, he had chased away a horrible gang of monsters and thugs all on his own. The little guy went about town, resuming his new career of being obscene to innocent people. With Gyoma to watch over him, all was right in the end.
