    Equipment:
Noble Dress: Simply put, with personal blends of perfume, a wide assortment of jewelry and a wardrobe worth several hundreds of Rupees in its own right, Saberon always looks positively fabulous. He dresses to impress and if his entrance does not make heads turn, something is very wrong.
Contact Network: Technically not a piece of "equipment" in the traditional sense of the word, but Saberon is a masterful social architect, building bridges left, right and center. If he doesn't know a guy, he probably knows a guy that knows a guy. Likewise, he has done everything in his power to keep his reputation as clean as possible, rendering him popular in court and among the common folk both. That said, behind the facade, his contact network does spread into the darker parts of Hyrule as well. Saberon has his hands in plenty of crime, more than anything else the black market, where he is a frequent customer.
Forbidden Tomes: Well, what would a proper nobleman be without some skeletons in his closet? If one moves a bookcase in Saberon's private quarters, they will find a small hideaway containing a prestigious collection of books of more... Blasphemous nature. The darkest magic and the most awful of rituals that rupees can buy. In his search for power, Saberon has done a good job of collecting any and all tools that he can use to quicken his ascent, meaning both magic and monsters that the nobleman Saberon Eduhuan Chevalier, by all means, should not know about might just not be as unfamiliar to him as one would first assume.
Rapier: Though it is not his favored method of combat, Saberon has practiced the noble sport of fencing and is a commendable duelist, though he obviously pales next to more properly trained swordsmen. This hobby is made apparent by the decorative rapier that he occasionally carries.

    Appearance:
Saberon Eduhuan Chevalier is a Hylian man of average height and lithe build. Slim, smooth hands and a thin body with little muscle definition testify of a life free of physical labor. As is his nature, he always keeps himself meticulously well-groomed, with filed nails and carefully applied makeup. His hair is black, carrying a notably healthy sheen and hangs down just below his shoulders, resting near his collarbones. He prefers to let most of it fall freely but keeps a pair of thin braids emerging from his temples and framing his face on the way down. He is rather androgynous and had it not been for the short, well-trimmed pointy beard at his chin, his gender could be quite difficult to pinpoint indeed. His eyes are a deep emerald green and shimmer with intelligence. He could most certainly be considered attractive by most Hylians.

As noted, Saberon dresses to impress at all times. His flamboyant wardrobe is exactly what one would expect from a Hylian noble, if perhaps not a tad bit too extravagant. He enjoys fine silks and long, flowing robes, coats and scarves, plenty of loose, thin cloth draped across his body. He is quite a fan of indigos, violets, and whites and he accessorizes with nothing short of gold, with plenty of earrings, necklaces and rings all over him, often with inlaid gemstones of similar violet colors as his outfit. As noted, he applies makeup and one can note winged, indigo eyeliner on him fairly often.

Finally, he uses scented soaps, shampoos his hair and applies generous amounts of perfume to his personage. As a result, he is often trailed by a fruity, flowery smell.

    Personality:
Saberon was practically raised at court, which shows clearly in the way he behaves and carries himself today. At first glance, he would strike most people at the perfect gentleman, being considerate towards others, courteous at all times, charitable to any smallfolk that needs his help and undeniably charming without coming off as overtly creepy. He is easy to like and gets along with most of any social class, respectful to a fault. Equally at home at royal balls as among village parties, he plays fast and loose at parties, throws around rupees to anyone that asks without a second thought and always does all in his power for everyone around him to enjoy themselves as much as possible.

If anyone could fault him for anything, it would be his vanity. It is rather obvious that Saberon enjoys attention and both dresses and acts in a flamboyant, eccentric manner while wearing only the best that Hyrule Castle has to offer. He is well known to spend several hours every morning grooming himself to perfection and he is always first to catch on the latest fashions. Furthermore, he will sometimes prove to be a bit of a gossip, but these faults can hardly be considered extreme enough degree for most to truly fault him for them. Indeed, to most, he comes off as a bit of an extravagant fop, but all in all completely harmless, if not flat-out enjoyable.

Very few realize that he is actually a horrible person.

Truth be told, the affable, flamboyant courtier most think of when they speak of Saberon Eduhuan Chevalier is a carefully constructed persona, a facade to conceal a much more sinister figure. Beneath this mask of his, Saberon's personality can best be summed up as raw, all-consuming ambition. More than ten years of his life have been defined by an obsession, a burning need for power above all other things. Saberon does not care for the consequences, nor what he will become in the process, he simply wishes to achieve what he believes to be his right to absolute superiority.

In this quest for dominance, he is absolutely pragmatic. Certainly not against helping others or doing what many would consider the "right" thing if it furthers his own goals, but make no mistake. In truth, Saberon cares for absolutely nobody but himself, and he will gladly let all of Hyrule burn to the ground if it means he will rule over the ashes. Still, he is not a fool. He understands that he has to play nice and appear unassuming for his ambitions to ever become reality. He is patient. He will continue to play his games and laugh with those people at court that he in truth absolutely despises. He will deceive them all for as long as he has to. He has all the tools he needs, he just needs the time to use them properly.

    His time will come.

    Background:
Saberon is the single remaining scion of House Chevalier, a noble family of considerable political power that once governed a portion of land stretching along the southmost of Hyrule. Saberon himself was never born to inherit, as he was the younger of two brothers, yet he still lived a greatly privileged life, far removed from the common folk and their daily toil. Castle Redstone, his home was called and as far as he know, that was where he would spend all of his life. That was until when he was eight years old when the King of Evil came to Hyrule.

Being one of the most southern territories within Hyrule, the Chevalier lands were one of the first to be besieged and overrun by Ganon's forces when he began his crusade against the Hylians. Though Saberon's own memories of the events are murky, he does remember seeing the carnage from the Redstone walls. Their lands burning, monsters pouring in from every direction. A great figure of unimaginable power that must have been the King of Evil himself leading the charge. As soon as it was made obvious that Redstone would fall, Saberon and his brother were spirited away, sent past the Great Bay by ship, the ruling couple staying behind to defend their lands while their children were sent to safety. That was the last that Saberon ever saw of his parents, but he is well aware that they must have died facing Ganon's forces.

From there, Saberon and his brother, Ebiel, were sent to the kingdom's capital, Hyrule Castle. As some of the first noble refugees, they were quickly taken in and housed at the castle as war raged in the south. Instead of growing up on the lands that they knew were theirs, the siblings were instead raised in Hyrule Castle, where they were certainly treated well, but Ebiel, in particular, could never forget what by all means should be his. Ebiel was no stellar tactician or a cunning schemer, he was not one made for intrigue. But what he did have was passion. He was driven to reclaim Redstone and the land that he felt that he owned. Eventually, when Saberon was thirteen years old and Ebiel was a man grown, the older brother had managed to gain the support of another powerful noble at Hyrule Castle, enough support to form a small army and march towards Southern Hyrule, to retake his claim from the monsters' clutches.

    He never returned.

When it became obvious that Hyrule Castle would have to arrange a burial with no proper body, something snapped in young Saberon. With land, parents, and family all lost, he came to the realization that the world did not reward bravery. Not in truth. It did not reward courage, it did not reward passion. "Good" and "Evil" were not monickers he any longer could apply to such things. He understood that the one thing the world rewarded ultimately was power. His family had died out because it was weak and the Evil King had taken their lives because he was strong. The nobles at court were not respected for their virtues, they were respected for their command over others, which was strength in its own way. There was no truer measurement of success or failure.

With this enlightenment, Saberon quickly made it his goal to become powerful. To never become weak and forgotten like most around him had. He sought out a knight and began to learn how to fence. He made contacts of all kinds, among the noble folk and among the criminal networks of the Castle Town. In the name of amassing power, he taught himself magic and dove into the most forbidden of lore. Any concern for how it was to be done was long gone, his goal was simply to become a figure like the Evil King, someone that could claim, take and conquer all by himself. No matter the cost. No matter what it did to him, to Hyrule or to those around him. He has not stopped since.

Never again is Saberon Eduhuan Chevalier to appear weak.
