Wears typical middle-class clothing under his armor, a and bracelets on his wrists. His body structure is thin and tall, but he has plenty of muscle from ten years of training and service in the Hylian Castle Guard. Personality: Kieran almost always acts with caution in dangerous situations. He is very loyal to his friends, and can be counted on to support them through tough situations. He always tries to help out people when they are in need, and has a soft spot for children and most animals. Residence: Small house near the Merchant District in Castle Town. Pet: Nocturne is Kieran's pet cat. Her favorite food is fish, and is extremely playful. Backstory: Born into an idyllic family of four, with an older brother, Kieran had a good life as a child. Mother and father were happily married, his brother loving, and sometimes overly protective of his little brother. Kieran was small then, knew little of the world, and its worries. As any child would, he attended school beginning at the age of five, and began to learn of Hyrule's long and proud history, of the Hero Link, and how he had triumphed over the forces of darkness. At the age of ten, the unthinkable happened. Ganon returned to the land, casting a long shadow that reached even Northern Hyrule. By this time, his brother had reached the age of sixteen, and wishing to assist in the efforts to stop Ganon, decided to enlist. His father enlisted with him, vowing to protect his son. His mother and himself saw his brother and father off as they left for Southern Hyrule. Without a guiding figure, both his father and older brother gone, Kieran quickly began to be led astray. Being taken in by a small gang of street urchins, Kieran had begun to learn the life of the street. Meanwhile, at home, his mother was struggling with the family business, a small shop in the marketplace, but she was able to make ends meet. Five years later, when Kieran was at the age of fifteen, they received their last letter from beyond the southern border. Both his father and brother were killed in action. Unable to cope with the loss of both her husband and her son, his mother couldn't handle it and began to decline into sickness and depression. Because his father had been within the Guards, Kieran was taken in by them, and was supported and raised in the barracks for the next three years. Throughout the first year, they helped him take care of his sick mother until she died about six months after the deaths of Kieran's brother and father. He inherited his mother and father's business, though he did not take full custody until the age of sixteen. Living within the barracks for the next two years, Kieran began his training, though he could not start his formal training until the age of 18. He trained tirelessly, too scared to tell his new guardians of his fear of death, having lost his entire family to its bloody claws. He decided to fully begin his training at the age of 18, hoping that it would help to banish his fear, and continued to train until the age of twenty one. At the age of 21, a full on guard, he began patrol, but found over the course of the next six years that all is well within the walls of Hyrule Castle. Kieran has recently embarked on a journey throughout Hyrule to take the fight to evil wherever it lies.
