Loft reached the smooth, water-washed wall and warned the plushy to hold on tight. He flipped over and braced his feet against the wall, and soon enough he was walking casually up the side of the wall.

Marcus glanced away from Loft and Rothis to look at Nefertete. He pointed to the gap in the wall before them, surrounded on both sides by the giant stone face. "We'll just have to try and slip through once the distraction starts," he said, trying not to notice how stupidly reckless all this was. "If they catch us, we can just pretend the two were unconnected and play the whole diplomat thing." What to do once they got in? "Ask someone, I suppose," he said. "You're all Gerudo, so if we can steal some clothes we may be able to just walk in. Actually," he said, looking after Loft and Rothis, "that's probably what we should have done in the first place, but... too late now."

MC couldn't help but look toward the water that was getting further and further away, glad that the object of his flirtations was too far to see the fear in his eyes. He hated heights; being less than three feet tall didn't really give him a lot of experience with them. Come to think, the almost unnatural ability of his kind made it so he really didn't have to face any of his fears, so he had to overcome his fear of heights, fear of water, fears of getting shot, stabbed, bisected, bludgeoned, set on fire, tortured, abandoned on a hostile island or of ruining his impeccably soft coat... At least performance anxiety's out of the way.

Ohh, and did I mention he's hanging on for dear life? There's that too. (My apologies as the narrator for my failures narrating this particular bundle of fluff, I'm used to narrating a girl who's so afraid of things she's declared stairs as her arch-nemesis, so fear and injury are usually pretty apparent.)

"Mmm, we might have done that, yes." Nefertete said thoughtfully. "But wouldn't you think they'd know their own people? Anyway, we'll see that once we're in." She was about to say more, but then she saw Loft and Rothis disappear over the wall.

"Oh, looks like we're up now. Come on, better get there quick." She took hold of the oars, starting to row them towards the small opening in the wall. Her feeling of excitement had been replaced by one of nervousness.

They stopped the boat by the gate, ready to slip in when they'd have the chance. All they could do now was wait for the distraction.

Loft flipped himself through the window- like a ninja- and touched down ninja-like on the floor. Like a ninja, he prowled down the small, mostly wall-less hall, searching for something... distraction-able. A big red button, perhaps? 'Push for convenient plot-device?'

"We just need to distract the guards up here," Loft said to the plushy, "then Marcus and Neffy can pretend to be ninjas and slip through like trout!" He made a fishy-face and turned round the corner.

These people obviously didn't believe in signposts. First there was a total lack of red-buttons, now they couldn't even label their corners? 'Here be enemies, proceed with caution!' Peppers, they could at least install some background music to this place! How was he supposed to-

Woops, scimitars flashing in the sun. "Run!" He threw down a Deku Nut- Crack! and made like a banana and split.

MC simply followed this child, his attempts at being a ninja obviously miserably. Perhaps he forgot that he lacked experience, perhaps he forgot about the water-trail they were leaving, perhaps he knew and just was pretending or perhaps he was just a moron. That last one seemed most likely.

The wet gremlin-looking bird just ran and ran once he the Deku nut flashed, but his short legs and general lack of exercise turned out to be a burden, and in desperation, the was-once-insanely-cute ball of fluff jumped out a window, landing in an out of the way corner along with a few weeds, safe...

Until he heard the footsteps, running toward him. As a last resort, he dropped to the ground and hid under his plant, hoping the well cared for sapling would fool his opponent. Sweat mixed with sea-water as the footsteps slowed and got louder, for a moment they seemed to stop right in front of him; sorta like his heartbeat. Before the sound of metal scraping on stone, then a loud WUUUUUUB. Wait, that was his sound, that was his music! They had stolen his music! How many fans had he lost to these posers? how many concerts... oh wait that was just his turntable, having dropped in the fall. Suddenly he felt more afraid as the steps clacked away then when his death seemed imminent.

Nefertete looked up at the source of the noise.

“Alright, looks like it’s our chance. Let’s go!” She hopped out of the boat, slipped through the bars of the gate and disappeared into the fortress, stopping every now and then to see if Marcus was following her.

“Looks like the place is clea- …Oh dear.” Nefertete was too late to spot the group of Gerudos around the corner, and nearly crashed into them. She looked back at Marcus, gesturing for him to stop and hoping he’d stay in the corridor and not come closer.

    “A-ah, sisters…” She stammered. “Hi there, I, uh… I was just on my way…”

She doubted the Gerudos would buy it, but for now, pretending to be one of them, was the only thing she could think of.

The Gerudo barely spared her a glance. They pushed right past her and continued to hurry towards the noise, turning left and heading down the same corridor they had just came through. After their footsteps had vanished, Marcus stepped out of a small side-door across the hall.

"Right," he said, licking his lips. "Let's go!" He made for the door at the far end of the room, but something stopped him. He turned and made for the wall, running a finger along a tan tapestry hanging there. "I think this is a map of the fortress," he said. "If your sisters were alive, they'd be in... the dungeons, right? That's here." He tapped a spot on the map and looked at Nefertete. "Now what?"

    ---

Welp. This wasn't good. Loft's arms were bound tighter than a Chu-Chu in a bottle, except a lot less tasty and delicious and scrump-didliumptious. He supposed that if he were a Chu-Chu they would have eaten him, and he wondered why they didn't want to. Was he not as tasty as the greatest Jello? You are what you eat, after all, and Loft had certainly eaten oodles of the gelatinous stuff in his time. All they were doing was dragging him down the wall-less hall, to where? Loft didn't really know. They didn't seem to like the monkey-impressions he was doing, either, cause one lifted up the hilt of her scimitar and brought it down

MC followed the pirate woman through the castle, it seemed to be a maze of corridors, rooms and halls. Whoever built it really wanted to be the only person to be able to navigate it. After several minutes the Kikwi came to an impasse, the Gerudo walked straight through a crowded room; likely a meeting hall of some sort; and out a small back passage.

There was no way around it, or at least none that he saw, and going straight through would be suicide, he had yet to see either of his sane companions since the boat and the only insane one tied up and wheeled away (on second thought, that last one is probably for the best). He had little choice then, and the thieving woman left his sight without any hope of retrieval.

At least for a lesser being. But not for Rothis Waltex'ran, the legendary M.C. Kikwi. For this musical giant, such a challenge was merely a speed bump, and he knew how to climb such large obstacles.

He spent a few minutes carefully grooming himself to be as handsome (I.e. Cute, just don't say it to his face) as possible before slowly waddling through the hall, trying to look as scared and lost as possible, waiting for one of them to take the bait. Given his inherent cuteness, that didn't take long and within the minute he was scooped up and petted by nearly a dozen of the women, all trying to hold the cuddly ball of feather-fur.

After about 20 minutes though, the excitement had died down somewhat, and our favourite DJ was now being slowly passed around the tables to be scratched and coddled by all there. Little did they know that he had a plan of his own. Whenever he was held by one Gerudo, he would carefully pour some LonLon Milk (That's right, the good stuff) into their drinks.

After the last goblet was tainted, he merely had to wait to follow the music theif.

It was a while before Nefertete dared to move again. She was so baffled by the Gerudos just rushing past her she had trouble actually believing what just happened.

    "...That went surprisingly easy."

She had expected the Gerudos to notice she wasn't one of them, but maybe the distraction had been more effective than she had though. To be honest, she hadn't had much faith in the Kikwi and Hylian boy, but they had proved to be effective.

Now hopefully they would have enough time to reach the dungeon...

"Yes, I think so. I suppose we'd best head over there, free the scouts and then find the others? ...Hang on."

She walked over to the tapestry, which was framed by large, red curtains, and pulled one of said curtains down, handing it to Marcus.

"Better wrap this around you, especially your face. Maybe they won't notice you're not Gerudo. Then we can head down to the dungeons."

[[Gonna move this along a bit....]]

Marcus nodded and wrapped the tapestry around himself. He had his doubts about the effectiveness of the disguise, but something was better than nothing. "Let's keep out of sight, though," he said. They headed down to the dungeons, sneaking past guards as they went. Some of them ran right past the duo, but they were so intent on something that they didn't spare them a glance, for which Marcus was grateful.

There was only one guard in the cellblock. Marcus pointed his Magic Rod at her and said quietly to his partner, "should I knock her out?"

Slowly he watched as the LonLon milk took hold of the women, each slowly succumbing to it's tranquilizing effects until the hall became as much a bunk room as place of drinking and feast.

MC decided it was best to wait a minute or two before creeping away from his victims, they were merely asleep after all and likely to awake soon.

He had no real to follow the thief, though thankfully the corridors beyond the hall were more or less straight forward; and while he never saw the one who took his beloved instrument, it wasn't long before he came upon an old storage room near the top of the fort. If his turn-table was anywhere, it was there.

He stood at the top of the room, on a platform placed for some unknown reason. The guards below hadn't noticed him yet as they seemed tired, disinterested and bored more than alert. Still, he lack the strength to take them on even with the element of surprise, but a light buzzing made that perhaps unnecessary; above the Gerudo and the treasure lay a nest of some form of killer wasp, and a good whack from something would certainly bring it down.

Nefertete looked around the room carefully before nodding slowly.

"Go ahead, maybe we can have a good look at the cells then."

From where they were standing, it was hard to see what exactly was inside the cells. For all they knew, they could be completely empty. Or they could contain what Nefertete had come for. The only way to find out was to look, which meant they had no choice but to knock the guard out. Plus they also had to somehow find their companions again, though she had no idea where they could have gone.

    She bit her lip.

"Are you sure you can take her out without attracting attention?"

    [[Oh wow my turn sorry]]

Marcus nodded and closed one eye. "Positive," he said. He inhaled, steadied himself, then exhaled. At the moment when his body was the most relaxed, he fired a ripple of pure energy at the unsuspecting guard's head. Silently, it slammed into the unfortunate Gerudo, knocking her out cold. She fell to the ground, and Marcus winced at thump and clattering sounds she made. Still, nobody came running, so he beckoned to his companion.

"Come on," he whispered, "let's go!"

MC took a look around, trying to gauge his surroundings; its threat and its treasure. The three guards below could certainly take him in a fight, he had to find a way around them... Or perhaps through them, as he spotted an iron bar that seemed to have rusted off the cage-like window, and it wouldn't be hard to that wasp's-nest from here.

So to the dismay of those below, that's exactly what he did, and quickly the disinterested guards ran for shelter from the very angry, and very confused wasps.

From here, it was a simple of descending the ladder (Indeed a surprisingly difficult proposition given his size) and search for what was his. The chest in the middle seemed like a good place to start.

His disappointment was only slightly abated by what was inside the chest: A single blue rupee; what appeared to be several small, thin-ish spare weapon shafts; his turntable; Himself (Hey, he can't exactly just peer inside can he?); and a bag of nuts. Some pirates these were, how were they even still alive? This haul is closer to a single craftman's wage than a group of blood-thirsty pirates.

He had to admit though, he was thankful that there was some food here, and soon he was downing the bag of nuts; crunchy, though bland as they may be. With that he simply took the rest of loot inside, if he couldn't use it, he could at least ditch it in the sea to deny it to the pirates.

As soon as the guard was out, Nefertete hurried over to the first of the cells, peering through the bars. It proved to be empty, save for a simple wooden bench and a straw-filled mattress.

Her heart sank a little, she had rather hoped to find her comrades in the cells. Though she couldn't give up yet, as there were more cells to be inspected in the room, and perhaps even more in the entire fortress.

"Wait, Marcus? Did we actually made a plan with Loft and Rothis were we're going to meet up again?" As hard as she tried to, she couldn't remember the four of them having made a plan what to do if they actually succeeded in finding what they needed.

"Well, nevermind..." Nefertete sighed. "Let's just check all these cells and hope we'll find the others quickly."
