Remember the Temple of Time from Twilight Princess? Or perhaps Eagle Tower from Link's Awakening, or any number of other fun dungeons from the Zelda games? If you've ever wanted to run through a classic dungeon like those, that's exactly why this forum exists. You can run through any dungeon of your choosing, with any of your characters, at any time. In addition to canonical dungeons, several "original dungeons" which exist solely on Hyrule Castle can be experienced here as well.

Almost any dungeon from the Zelda series is fair game, but you must keep it in theme from its original appearance. For example, Ocarina of Time's Fire Temple must still be a fire dungeon located within a volcano, but most other things are left to creative license. The only dungeons which can't be completed normally are the final dungeons, or 50-floor dungeons, which are instead treated as Super Dungeons (see below).

Every Classic Dungeon run is treated akin to a quest thread, and will be completed, graded, and rewarded as such. Barring special exceptions (see below), every dungeon has a base reward of 40 rupees per player and 10 per character. These rupees can be "exchanged" for treasures or other rewards as usual.

For reference for canonical dungeons and all related information, ZeldaWiki is highly recommended.

    Dungeon Master
Optionally, one player can be assigned as a "Dungeon Master," or DM. The DM is granted control over the dungeon, traps, enemies, treasures, and other facets. How much a DM controls is subject to each DM's discretion, but he would be allowed to control up to everything except player-character's actions, and cannot himself use a player-character in his own dungeon. For this reason, it is suggested a DM makes it clear what players are not allowed to control, as well as any other "house rules" he employs. Unlike normal players, a DM gains 60 rupees which he can distribute among his own characters however he likes. However, these rupees cannot be immediately spent towards treasures.

If a DM inexplicably becomes inactive for more than two weeks, the players are allowed to replace him with a new DM to finish the dungeon. The new DM will earn the rupee reward instead.

If a player completes a dungeon as a DM, he is allowed to use that dungeon as a prerequisite for completing Super Dungeons.

    Super Dungeons
The following are "super dungeons" which cannot be completed until a certain amount of other canonical dungeons have been completed by the party venturing forth into the corresponding super dungeon.

As long as the entire party collectively has all dungeons completed, they can go in as a group. Specifically, not all dungeons need to be completed by all participants. If Sam completed only half the dungeons for Onox's Tower, and Casey completed the other half, they could enter Onox's Tower together. They could even bring along other players, who hadn't completed any of the necessary dungeons.

Super-dungeons can only be properly completed once. If a player completes a super-dungeon a second time, he only gains the normal rupee rewards for completing a dungeon.

If a super-dungeon dies from inactivity, any participant can repeat the super-dungeon with no penalty. However, the dead super-dungeon thread will be permanently locked.

Unless otherwise stated, super-dungeons and their normal counterparts are to have their canonical bosses.

Anyone can DM a super-dungeon, even if he does not meet the normal prerequisites for the dungeon.

Anyone who enters its depths will find that all magic-tier treasures in his possession have ceased to function: bombs do not explode, Goron Iron loses its indestructibility and its crippling heaviness, the casting of Fire is forgotten, the execution of Helm Splitter is lost, and so on. Racial perks, however, continue to function.

It is said that at the end of the Hero's Cave lies a choice between two magical, mysterious Rings. In addition to one of these rings, the dungeon has a reward of 120 rupees per character and 10 rupees per player. To even enter this dungeon, however, the interested characters must have completed the following dungeons:
    - Black Tower

Savage Cave of Ordeals Labyrinth (open)
This dungeon is the dungeon to end all dungeons. To even so much as step into it, one player must have completed at least 70 normal dungeons, and 10 super dungeons.

This monstrosity of a dungeon consists of one-hundred descending levels of monsters who yearn for nothing more than the character's death. At the final, one-hundredth level lies a foe who knows no parallel... an enigma who is to be controlled by The NPC. The reward for defeating this final boss is immeasurable by any standard.

The prerequisites for this super dungeon work differently than normal. To enter, a single player must have completed every single prerequisite dungeon. This lone individual will face the final foe and receive the true reward. Any other player can join in completing the tower as well, but will only receive the reward for doing a normal dungeon, tripled. (Thus, they can earn 90 rupees per player and 30 rupees per character.) In the unlikely event multiple players met all the prerequisites and do this dungeon together, these players would all receive the full reward.
