    Equipment:

    Armor:
Tessa typically wears a set of lightweight leather and chainmail armor to keep herself mobile, with strategic augmentations for additional protection. The chainmail is usually hidden beneath a tunic of varying color, with a kidney belt over top to protect her, well, kidneys. Her kidney belt is semi-ornamental in appearance to make it look less protective than it really is, but beneath the golden thread and embroidery is sturdy leather easily as tough as her leather pants. Tessa also wears a single strip of plate mail anchored to her tunic, wrapping over her left shoulder to defend her heart from both sides.

    Mirror Shield:
Tessa’s particular mirror shield is golden in hue and circular, with a stylized sun at its center and intricate but meaningless engravings around the rim. Six tendrils reach out from the sun toward the rim of the shield, and though they all curve in different ways, their tips would form an equidistant hexagon if measured. At the tip of each tendril is a circle containing, clockwise from the top, the symbols for Light, Forest, Fire, Water, Shadow, and Spirit.

    Additional Equipment:
Whether in or out of combat, Tessa can usually be found wearing her hover boots and fireshield earrings…just in case. The earrings are simple emerald-colored loops matching her eyes. The boots are utterly unmodified from their typical appearance. She wears a belt around her waist with a couple pouches and hoops which she can attach bags or a scabbard to. Generally, though, she wears a satchel on the right hand side and hangs her scabbard over her back along with her shield.

    Weapons:
Tessa currently wields a plain steel longsword as her primary weapon, though she is capable of using any one handed armament or bow in a pinch. She also carries a dagger on her belt as a backup weapon and tool.

Appearance: Tessa is a flaming, green eyed, pale skinned ginger in spite of the amount of time she spends outdoors. She keeps her hair fairly long, but typically wears it tightly braided in the field. Her height runs moderate at five foot ten, with all the lean and wiry musculature of a fighter who prefers speed and agility over brute force. She probably weighs somewhere between 140 and 160 pounds as a result, if she were to actually step onto a scale and find out. Tessa bears the long and sharp ears of a Hylian, with a lean and striking face to match. While she is by no means beautiful, the terms pretty and attractive are perfectly accurate descriptors for her. Her figure is fully midway between nonexistent and voluptuous, but the general shape of her hips and limbs is largely cut away by her musculature, and her chest is usually kept nice, wrapped, and out of the way when she needs to be mobile, so her body tends to be a surprise to friends when they first see her in a social environment.

In direct contrast to her personality, Tessa has a marked preference for dresses and skirts when relaxing or out on the town (down with pants!), but she’s willing to compromise and don trousers when necessary. Her clothing usually strikes a balance between tight and loose so as not to hinder her mobility, and her preference towards armor is generally light but high quality for the same reason. Tessa applies the same type of practicality when it comes to makeup- she enjoys wearing it socially, accenting the sharp lines of her face and her striking green eyes, but eschews it when adventuring…unless the mood for full on war paint should strike her. The comical contrast between fearsome war paint and her personality is not lost on Tessa Smith.

Oh, and she smirks so much it may as well be a permanent facial feature.

Personality: Tessa is a free-spirited prankster at heart. She has a lazy sort of intelligence, of the kind which is largely undeveloped- and misused in the areas where it is developed. She is by no means evil, or even criminal, but she certainly loves putting peoples’ noses out of joint. A less charitable soul might even refer to her as annoying. Tessa banters in combat, plays jokes on her friends and companions, and never takes anything too seriously. She’s the sort of person one can never really lock down, because no one ever knows if she really means what she says, or is just trying to put someone off balance. It’s also incredibly difficult to anger her, since there’s really nothing she can’t turn into a joke with enough effort, and she’s pretty quick to forgive as a result.

At the same time, Tessa tends to be very hyperactive and disorganized. And she never. Shuts. Up. Part of the reason she never developed her brains is that she is usually haring off in a dozen different directions at once, so she needs full audio, visual, and physical stimulation at all times to maintain focus on anything. This can be helpful when it comes to problem solving, since multiple solutions occur to her at the same time, but it’s mostly a disadvantage the rest of the time.

She’s also an open, rampant bisexual, but no would ever suspect it since the line between her flirting and joking is effectively nonexistent.

Family: The Smith family was a large, semi-prosperous merchant clan in Kakariko. Tessa is the oldest of six siblings- one male and five female, including Tessa herself. She has numerous relatives beyond her core family as well, many of which even escaped to one of the two cave systems. However, she’s always been the black sheep of the family, and really isn’t that close to anyone in it, as her parents largely left her to her own devices in favor of grooming her siblings for the family business.

    Background:
As these things often go, Tessa’s parents had hoped for an intelligent, but unimaginative progeny to take over the family business in Kakariko. Instead, they got a rambunctious, sarcastic, and free-spirited girl more interested in adventure than a predictable, normal life.

Fortunately she wasn’t an only child.

Since Tessa was the oldest of her siblings, her parents were disappointed at first- then they simply gave up and let her do as she pleased when her brother and sisters turned out much more suited to the merchant life anyway. So it was that Tessa grew up fighting, exploring, and experimenting to find her own personal specialty. As it turned out, she was actually quite intelligent, but she quickly found she preferred to use her physical gifts of athleticism and sword fighting, and relegated her smarts to coming up with quips and pranks.

That, of course, became an absolute boon when Ganon invaded and forced her family from Kakariko and into the relative safety of the Western Caves. The invasion occurred as Tessa was approaching the age of ten years old, and unable to fight, she fled with her family. Business continued largely uninterrupted for the Smiths in spite of this exodus; any settlement with a population in the thousands required merchants in some shape or form, and the Smiths were a merchant family through and through.

Unlike many of the other refugee children, Tessa needed no time to adjust to this new life, nor any mental wrangling to come to terms with the hardship. Instead she took to her new environment like a fish to water, rapidly learning to navigate the caves and the surrounding lands and avoid patrolling monsters. In these early days, her family was too busy forming a new trade network to monitor their rambunctious wild child, and so Tessa informally joined the militia as a scout.

No armed force would officially take a child ten years old into their ranks, but the refugees desperately needed information at that point, and Tessa was gathering that information whether she was ordered to or not. Although for Tessa it was really just play, the militia quickly learned she was a valuable font of information- for anyone capable of finding their way through her inane ramblings and labyrinthine train of thought- and befriended her, making sure to have her ‘debriefed’ whenever she returned. So far as Tessa knew, she had simply made a number of new friends, so she happily shared stories of her adventures to whoever would listen- stories which the militia mined for data with equal pleasure.

Over time, Tessa learned to fight and send telepathic messages from her militia friends, and eventually she graduated to official member once she grew older. Firmly established by now, her parents noticed this and voiced their objections, but not very strenuously. Tessa would never be the heir they wanted, so they allowed her to take her own path in life. A decade has passed since then, and Tessa is itching to get out and see new things.

Future plans: Continue to flesh out equipment section. Eventually have Tessa acquire more unique weaponry.

    Wish List:
    -Propel
    -Major Gain
    -Portal Bracers
    -Pegasus Boots
    -Hover
    -Thrice
    -Bomb Arrows
-Strengthened Tunic (Dodongo Hide, Silver Scales, White Hide, Skulltula Silk)

Unsure if this is completed or not (because of the note at the bottom), but everything checks out, so this is accepted if you'd like.
