Equipment: Writing kit, Journal, Spare pages, Fine Clothing Appearance: Tanic is a somewhat imposing Goron, exuding an unmistakable air of authority and superiority. He keeps himself well and at the best of times can appear as more of a moving statue than how other races have come to see Gorons. He also tends to move with a degree of grace, although this is more a facade as he is indeed just as clumsy and powerful as the average Goron. Finally, he always wears fine clothing (although this has begun to get stained, torn and dirty) and ensures his equipment in place or away in case he has need of it and to give the appearance of a gentlemen and scholar at all times. Personality: Tanic acts as though he is superior to others unless he is proven obviously wrong, in which case he will begin to act friendlier to them if they are allies or merely rude in a less refined manner if they are hostile. He often comments on the failures, mistakes and shortfalls of his allies while dismissing his own as sheer unluckiness. He often tries to become the leader of whatever group he's in and will often give advice, wanted or not, to the real leader should he fail. All in all he acts as one of noble birth and antiquated gentlemanly tastes would. However should an opportunity present itself he is always looking to make a profit and will change his attitude should the situation demand it. Residence: None (previously large stone house in the Nabooru district) Pet: None Backstory: Born into a banking family, he was well educated from an early age and quickly found the family business to his liking: minimal work for maximum profit. With his education, family ties and higher social position, he began to see all those of lower birth as either lazy or incompetent. After all, if he can make such a large number of rupees without such effort, those that can't must either not be trying or not good enough at what they're doing. Hearing stories of one of his ancestors, a legendary smith that could create the thinnest yet strongest blades to grace the whole of Hyrule in his time, yet it took mere minutes to create one. While Tanic believed the tale, he always found it odd that not a single example could be produced, or how the smith died. After years of "working" and inheriting the business from his parents, he further built up his connections until the unthinkable happened. His house burnt down as if it were oil-soaked tinder, the same day loans he had give which were to be repaid vanished from any records, yet the magic on the bank had never been triggered, no intruder ever set foot inside, this lead to one conclusion: a betrayal meant to do no less than utterly ruin him. With his few remaining rupees he bought some adventuring tools and began his quest. Find the traitor, bring honor and pride to the family name once more and discover the fate of his ancestor.
