    What is a support conversation?
    In the games:
In many of the Fire Emblem games, the Support System is a mechanic that allows certain pairs of characters to bond with each other. By meeting certain requirements, the Support command would be unlocked, a conversation between the two characters would ensue, and their support level would increase. In-game, this would lead to certain stat bonuses if the two characters were close enough to each other, and these stat bonuses would increase with the support level. Certain pairs of characters would end up marrying after the events of the game.

    In Ylisse:
Ylisse integrates the support system into the roleplay. Much like in the game, if you meet certain requirements the mods may unlock the option for a support conversation, which can honestly be about anything as long as the PG-13 rating of the site is respected. The only difference with the game is that since Ylisse doesn't use stats, stat bonuses are not conveyed. As such, supports in Ylisse are purely for character development and relation building between characters, as well as for fun. The events in supports are considered canon.

How do I increase my character's support level?
When you complete and submit an RP, you can request a number of supports between characters. The grading mod will then take a closer look at the interactions between the character pairs that supports have been requested for. If the characters have interacted sufficiently, the mod will approve the next level of support for that pair and you can write it out and post it here.

Support levels start at C, and later increase to B, A, and eventually S. A character can have an endless amount of A-supports, but only one S-support. This means that most character pairs will have three conversations together, and per character one pair will have four. Unlike in Awakening, however, the contents of the S-support do not have to be romantic in nature.

How do I write and post my support?
To avoid cluttering up this section of the forum, a few guidelines that we'd like you to follow.
    1. Do not start posting in this forum as though you're having a two-man RP. It's better to work out the support in private, by PM or IM. This will make the support a lot less tiring to read back later.
    2. Compile the conversation into a single post and post that. In the past, people have usually used titles denoting the character pair and sometimes the current support level, such as "Julia/Elizabeth C" or "SamxAmy {S}".
    3. When the next support level is reached, write the conversation in the same way as before and add it to the thread as a reply.

    Are supports moderated, like profiles?
No. A mod will likely read over your supports sometime after they're posted, but barring exceptions, support threads are not moderated or graded in any way. The exception is that any mod has the right to delete a thread and issue a verbal warning if the contents of the support are too explicit and in violation of the site terms.
