Crowds twist and turn in whorls about the castle, errant eyes glancing up to the balcony as idle chatter murmurs throughout the courtyard. Everyone awaits the beginning. Merchants, inventors, and artisans from far lands have come here for this moment, a great celebration of the ingenuity and entrepreneurship of Hyrule's denizens. Voices hush as the doors part. "Times have been hard on us. Even now, our warriors struggle against dark designs." A strong and feminine voice rings out clearly, as if the world had stopped to listen. She pounds her fist against the alabaster railing. "But we are made sturdier than that. Years, the dark forces of this land have tried again and again to rid themselves of us. They have yet to succeed, and they never will." Her fierce brown hair shakes with the wind, a lion's mane. "The Festival of Mortal Hands is here. Show the world what these hands have wrought." She raises a clenched fist into the air. "Let the festivities begin!" -------------------------------------------------- The Summer Event is here! From today until the last day of August, expect various smaller events to occur. Of most important note, until the end of the festival, there will be greater ways to earn rupees. As per usual, players may earn rupees through quests; however, you will also be rewarded simply with interacting with each other. For any thread (including those that are quests) posted in during this time period, the first post of each character (in that thread) will earn them twenty rupees. Every subsequent five posts by that character will earn them ten rupees. The only stipulation is that each post be interacting with a character owned by another player. Note that this does not include posts made before the beginning of this event; this is only applicable to new posts during this time period. When you are ready to claim your rupees from some posts, shoot me a PM so I can verify them real quick. Of additional importance is that there will be sales on treasures during this time period. During the festival, certain Treasure fields will be on sale at half the price it would normally cost to purchase them (if you would spend an amount of rupees for a treasure on sale, that price is cut in half). Check back here every Monday for updates on which treasure field is on sale. Make sure to check, as there may be a few weeks in which entire Fields go on sale. This also includes Race Licenses.) Final Week(s) (August 25th - September 8th): All Element Field Treasures Purchasing treasures may prove an issue if a quest is not completed during this time, etc. It is for this reason that during the Festival, all treasures (excepting unique dungeon treasures, major treasures, and racial treasures) can be purchased from the Marketplace, due to the influx of merchants and other purveyors of goods (i.e. powerful wizards capable of teaching spells, or warriors and rogues that can teach new skills).
