    Height: 5' 11"

Weight: It's impolite to ask a lady (But feels like a lot while falling)

    Equipment: Long sword, Shield

Appearance: Sayomi has sharp, pleasant features and a body somewhat more muscular compared to a typical women; albeit with a large bust. She wears her waist-length, jet black hair in a pony tail outside of combat, and typically tucks it in whilst embattled. She commonly wears her armour everywhere, only taking it off to sleep or where it's unacceptable, such as at a noble gala or in disguise. The armour is chainmail, with a layer of leather underneath and plates covering her legs, arms and upper torso. It about 45 pounds, of which 30 consists of Goron Iron, used mainly in the mail, but with a large amount in the plates as well. It's aqua blue with a gold trim, usually polished to a slight shine and is more graceful in appearance than imposing, complete with an open-faced helm that looks more like something a king rather than a knight would wear into battle. It is notable that the armour, while made partially of Goron Iron, is also made by a master Goron smith and so is strong and it is meant to be somewhat comfortable and fit for travel, rather than just in combat.

Personality: Sayomi has a very energetic, bubbly personality and a optimistic outlook on life. She is usually excited to meet new people, learn new things and explore new places; this coupled with her head-on approach, disregard for danger and extremely clumsy (and often unthinking) nature tends to lead her into trouble. However this has also made her an expert with the sword in a very short period of time and her skills continue to increase even now, and the extent of her potential is unclear. She is however, emotionally volatile: She takes jokes and jabs at her quite well, and it is uncommon for her do anything then get flustered or return the prank in kind. However, should her own failures put her, her friends, or her dreams in danger, she becomes angry and depressed; violently so.

(Caution: Sayomi is meant to be a joke character and will be played like one.)

    Residence: Hyrule castle barracks

    Pet: none

Backstory: Sayomi grew up in Hyrule Castle Town as the only child of two merchants and was almost obsessed with the Hyrulian guard posted there. The uniforms, the marching, the discipline all urged her on and when she became 16, she made the decision to join. A little afraid of her chances because of her femininity, she cut her hair, dressed in men's clothing, used the name "Sai" and wore a chest wrap to cover her breasts, hoping that they'd give her a fair chance at becoming part of the guard she idolized.

In the first day of training, she proved herself more capable in combat than any of the other recruits and even proved to be a challenge for their instructor, beating him 2:0 on the spare. She became the star pupil of many of the instructors and for a great length of time, her plan worked; she grew in strength and skill beyond what was expected of her (although her clumsiness led many to wonder why she was so good) and no one had yet realized that she was a girl. However, the secret soon sprung into the open; almost literally. In a sparing session with a knight who was to test their skill, a blow to the side caused the knot of her chest wrap to undo, and now there was not a soul around who couldn't see the bulge of her shirt.

This left the guards in a difficult position, while there was no laws or regulations against females joining, leaving her in a other-wise all male regiment would invite disaster and she had given and used false information, a crime that was almost espionage. But her talents could not be allowed to waste. After three days of deliberations between the officers of her detachment and those of higher power, a decision was reached; she was to be transferred to the HAREON squad under Captain Denolle, effective immediately.

The next 4 years of her life became, to most, as Ganon's dungeons. Having the full duties of Hyrulian guard and having to train her body, develop skills as well as study tactics and politics, left her with no free time and little even to sleep; her life was filled with her work and fulfilling her dreams. Constantly mentally and physically exhausted, her goal consumed her time, her life and it seemed her very soul. She learned how to surround a larger force and kill with a single swing, even to an armoured opponent. Slowly, she improved: her mind became sharper as her blade became duller while her swing became sharper still, until it appeared she was reaching the height of her ability.

Around that time her position within the guard changed, as well as the way others saw her. During a regular night patrol of the Goron slums, her squad happened upon a child Goron, no older than 9 being harassed by what appeared to be the Talon gang: Infamous throughout Hyrule castle town and the surrounding area as a group of murderous thugs, taking sick pleasure on the pain they caused and every guard, investigator or witness that sought them out or harmed them ended up dead by a knife, many under seeming impossible situations. The other members of her squad fled, she knew if she did the same, the child wouldn't stand a chance; if she didn't, she wouldn't. She choose the latter. Attacking head-long as they readied for the charge, she knew her fates; death or glory. She remembers nothing of the fight itself and as the only other living person to have witnessed it was the child, and he refuses to say anything about it, it's details are lost to the souls that passed then. What is known however, is that her most recent memory after the event is of her clutching a deep wound in her chest, as her body is littered with smaller ones. Enemies lie around her, none breathing... and the child peering out from an alley, crying. Then it all went black.

When she awoke after 10 days, she was in a small room, laying in a comfortable bed, many of the cuts having healed already. The view of the mid-day sun and the town beneath would tell her she's in the castle. Around the rooms lies many letters, most from relatives and friends of the boy but two stood out to her, the first was attached to a beautiful suit of armour, describing how thank the boy's father was to learn he survived, and the armour was both thanks for her efforts, and so the wounds she suffered might be repaid later. The second was smaller, sealed in the official Hyrulian guard emblem, and lay on top of a small blank leather-bound book. It read more like a report than a thanks or endearment letter, even calling the magic book given to be "non-standard equipment to be requisitioned for, and assigned to Sayomi Rei, member of the HAREON squad." She smiled as she read the last part, knowing her earlier troubles would be like a light breeze compared to what lay before her.

(As a side note, I have received permission from Tsubori to have Sayomi in the HAREON squad)

Pretty good, Raz, but can you please specify how you got the Goron Iron Light Armor to be 60 r? How much does the iron metal in it weigh?

Alright, good job! The math checks out fine, and I like the backstory, so go on ahead! Have fun! :)

(Small editing note: I don't think you need to say "iron Goron Iron")

My favorite part was when she was discovered; I could really see the event happen in my mind, the way you wrote it. I was a little 'huh?' at the whole "newbie nearly beats instructor" part, but I guess that's why our characters are heroes here, huh? :P

Sayomi's trials have given her a greater understanding of tactics, magic and analysis (just as ditzy and lulzy though): +1 Wisdom for Regular promotion.
