Tessa hopped through the portal and skidded to a stop, sending a cloud of sand into the air around her. She blinked at the change in scenery- one moment she was in a cave, and the next she was in a desert. Nifty. The heat was, well, sweltering, but even as she took in the view, she could feel it beginning to fade, as she knew it would. The earrings she wore saw to that, even without the influence of the gem she had just been given.

She wondered where the little trinket had come from. Was it from this desert? Had an earlier expedition retrieved a cache of them? Or were they made in the Eastern Caves just for this? Maybe they were found there. Maybe they fell from the sky, little shooting stars come from the heavens just to keep her cool. Tears of a goddess, maybe. Could goddesses cry? She couldn't exactly ask one. A mystery for another day, perhaps.

Shaking her head, Tessa examined her surroundings. She saw desert, mostly. Sand, sand, sand...buildings! Crumbling buildings. Now how did that happen? Termites, but for stone? Oh, right, sand. And wind. Nasty combination, those. Why would anyone build something out here? A recipe for disaster, that.

A rumbling interrupted Tessa's hectic train of thought, so loud it echoed even over mountains of sand. She actually jumped slightly at the suddenness of it. The sound was like two mountains grinding together, or rock against shattered glass. Both, perhaps. The heat rose still higher, and Tessa gripped her orb tightly, willing it to activate.

It was the sound of tumbling rocks which finally alerted her to the Worm's presence. Even a hundred meters distant, it was so tall she thought it bigger than any building she had ever seen. Tessa shielded her eyes at its prominence; it glowed so brightly she thought her mirror shield might produce a strong beam from its light alone.

"Well. That looks unfriendly. Or maybe that's just what the people are like here! Maybe it just wants to say hello. And...hug me. To death. Probably doesn't even realize that'd be fatal, the poor thing. I should try explaining that," she muttered in one breath. Shouting, she continued, "Mister Worm! Hello up there! Pleased to make your acquaintance. If you could just slow down, that'd be wonderful. Hylians cannot hug mountains, I'm afraid. Cannot be hugged by mountains? Either or, I guess. I'd rather not die, you see, so- oh , uh, it's not slowing down, I should probably run-"

Tessa turned and sprinted straight out of its path.

"Miss! MISS!" Spaghet nearly screeched, waving his arms frantically. He dashed through the sand and skirted down a dune, trying his best to make sure that the worm didn't see him despite his screaming. He really hoped that the woman wouldn't shout back. He was very worried. So worried. It appeared that he was on his own, but that was part of the reason why he was screaming. He had lost Wiki. In any other circumstance he would have been grateful, but not now. Not at this moment. Not here. Why did he have to lose her here?!

The moblin made sure to make sure he looked friendly. Desperately. He of course sported his stupid wig and glasses, and wore both excellent quality and appropriate clothes. Unlike Wiki. Who was wearing a black cloak in the desert, Spaghet was sporting a flowing white top with some lose tan pants to match. He was prepared for the heat. The companion he had lost might be dying somewhere in the sun, possibly on fire. Oh dear. Her father would have his head...

But she was running too, and Spaghet looked up at the worm. He occasionally jumped onto all fours as he dashed through the sand, finding it easier at points than running on two feet. To be honest, he was proud of himself for running so fast with his violin case on his back despite the sweltering heat.

He desperately looked up at the worm, sticking to the side of it. He looked down at the woman who stood ran from the beast. He was far away from her, could she even see or hear him?!

Cain had been doing some prowling in the hills around his hole in the ground. He wasn't expecting much maybe a rabbit or possibly a grouse for dinner but mostly he was going for a bit of a walk. He actually enjoyed his wolf form he was a touch quicker in cross country and well when the wind blew his thick fur kept him warmer than what he would feel just in a tunic besides it was fun prowling around as a wolf. Finding a cave to explore Cain sniffed at its entrance and smelt something that reminded him of a forge?

Now Cain was intrigued caves should have a moist smell to them not the heat he was smelling. Pushing further in Cain found himself in a white hot blindingly bright desert! Too bright too hot! Cain had a mild panic attack he hadn't been to a desert in quite some time if ever... He couldn't remember but something cool was felt under his paw digging down some he found a strange gem a curious little bauble that had the effect of subduing the light and heat of where he was.

As things cooled down and his mild panic went away he began to take in the scenery it was stark and desolate with a destroyed city on the horizon. That was as good of a place as any to start off well rather than waste energy transforming back to his Hylian form he maintained his wolfish form and just plopped the gem in his maw like a doggy with a ball. He was moving at a decent trot when he saw it a big honking ugly worm thing. Just as Cain had spotted the giant sand worm thing it spotted him too. Their eyes locked or at-least if it had eyes and the first thought through Cains mind was...Leg it!

Full gallop tail between his legs toward the nearest shelter which was the tower and the one thing going through his mind was "Don't swallow! Don't Swallow! Don't Swallow!" As he still had the strange gem in his mouth.

After a good bit of running- Tessa had no idea how long it had been, truthfully- Tessa crested a dune and, well, tried to do two things at once. Keep running, and check to see how far away from the worm she had moved.

She succeeded at one, and failed at the other. With a startled yelp, Tessa found herself sliding, then rolling down the dune. Even after she came to a stop, it was several moments before her head stopped spinning. A low groan of discomfort escaped her throat as she realized the tumble she'd just taken had ended with sand just. Everywhere. Each movement she took was accompanied by a new discovery of just what places sand could reach. Was there sand in...her ear piercings?

Her next bath was going to be measured in days, not minutes.

Still, at least she was out of the worm's way. It hadn't adjusted its path to match her movements, and it was now moving away from her at a steady pace. Slowly. Slooooooooooowly. It'd be several minutes yet before it totally passed her, but at least it seemed content to continue in a straight path for the time being. At least now she had time to ponder where it came from. The damned thing was enormous! It was on the scale of the boss monsters she had heard often wait at the end of dungeons. Had a boss monster escaped its dungeon?

Was that where this desert had come from? This was clearly not a mere pocket dimension, as her employers had suggested. The scale was too big for what they'd described, and why would there be ruins in such a place? That meant...another planet entirely, alternate universe, or just a portal to somewhere else in her own world. Perhaps a mage would be able to tell the difference, but Tessa was just paid to hit things. She only had what she was told to go by.

Still...maybe the desert hadn't always been here. Maybe the worm had made it. Maybe the worm had reduced everything to rubble, and possibly even killed the inhabitants. Was this why people went into dungeons so often? To keep them suppressed? Huh. Maybe she'd sign up for more of those expeditions, then. Sand is bad, after all. If this is the burning hell waiting for an uncleared dungeon to manifest from, she'd be perfectly happy to keep that fate at bay.

And also to fight big things. Fighting big things is fun. Not that worm though, that was just a terrible idea. Drop a glacier on it, maybe. Too bad she was in a desert; no glaciers here. Or would the worm just melt the ice? Yeah, that seemed likely. Trick it into the ocean? No, nothing is that dumb. Not even worms. Where did this worm come from anyway? Do worms just get really, really big if they live long enough? Tessa was almost tempted to start stomping on worms in case that were true. But that wold hardly be sporting. Oh! Maybe she could just wait til they get a little bigger, but not quite mountain size. Would waist high be tall enough for a fair fight?

Oh, hey. A Moblin. Bokoblin? Something like that. Heeeeey, Mister Moblin! No, wait, say it out loud.

"Heeeey Mister Moblin! What brings you to a place like this?"

He kept running. She kept running. Frankly, Spaghet wasn't going to complain. Anything that got him further away from death either from being eaten, being brunt alive, or being crushed was great in his book. He made sure to keep an eye on the woman, wincing when she fell. He looked down at the grounf and continued to run. But then he heard her, she was shouting to him. And he was quite sure he understood her... most of what she said.

Spaghet hurried down the dune. He was lucky. So lucky. The worm was turning around. And the woman was actually acknowledging him! And Mister?! Frankly, he was pleased. He had to take pleasure in the little things in life, otherwise, he would certainly be overwhelmed. Of course, doubt overwhelmed him. He might have misheard her. He hoped she was polite. He desperately hoped.

The man nearly fell himself, skittering to a stop and gasping wildly. He shook, slightly, both from exertion and from nervousness. He hoped that the woman wasn't going to attack him. She was a woman, he assumed, considering he had picked up her scent on the wind before he had even saw her... but you never knew. He didn't want to make an assumption. The instrument case on his back was becoming increasingly noticeable. Spaghet adjusted his wig and glasses. He hoped desperately that she didn't notice how damp with sweat the mop of hair was..

He smiled brightly, but wasn't aware of how much he was panting. He flashed his fangs, forgot to adjust his lip in a way that made him look more approachable, and various other little adjustments he made to his body on a day to day basis to keep up appearances. He slumped over, held up a clawed finger on his paw for a moment, and breathed deeply. The moblin looked down at the ground. After a good, long moment, the quivering form looked up.

"... S-....Spaghet Yettin," he said, extending his hand to shake.

Meanwhile Wiki squinted. She hated the sun. Honestly, she much preferred the dark. All she could see was sand, sand, and more sand. And dust. More dust. Dust approaching. She sighed deeply. That ... wasn't just dust. Of course she would be unlucky to see a worm. And... something else. She squinted even more so. Damn sun. Sometimes, just sometimes she hated being a Deku Scrub. She was much more suited to night. There might have been another figure in the distance as well, but honestly, the worm was so large that Wiki had bigger things on her mind.

She cupped her chin in her hand. A sigh escaped her snout. Why did this always happen to her? Why?

The worm had started to close in on Cain in spite of his best efforts to get away from it. Then all of a sudden he heard a change in the rumble that was behind him. Looking back he saw the worm start to disappear under the sand and the last he saw of the worm for the moment was its tail... Cain paused to catch his breath the he felt it. A light rumble at first and the sand beneath him looked similar to water rippling out after you toss a stone into it. The "ripples" started to get larger and larger and that was about the time Cain started galloping off across the sand once again.

As Cain left the scene the sand began to churn and swirl again like water like a whirlpool that got more and more turbulent and swirling faster. Not good, not good at all then all of a sudden like a great whale the worm erupted out of the sand breaching just as Cain had gotten out of the tide bringing every thing into the worms maw! It roared and arched its back and then all of a sudden it began to fall like a giant tree. As the worms girth and length slammed against the sand it created a kind of a sand tidal wave.

Cain kept at his run but the sand wave was catching up and eventually it did catch up and it engulfed him. Cain was rolled and covered in sand but he didn't swallow the strange smoky blue gem. Digging himself out he shook as much of the sand out of his fur as he could and then looked back to make sure that the worm chasing him wasn't going to eat him. He looked around his snotting out globs of sand and well snot out of his snout. Shaking more sand from his ears he finally notices that he has some friendly company. Well he hoped he wagged his tail at the pair.

(OOC: Play how ever you guys like but i'm going with that the sand had stopped short of the pair)

Tessa tilted her head wordlessly in response to Spaghet's minor panic attack, but the smile never left her face. She waited patiently for him to find his words, doing her best to ignore the irritating sand all up in her everything. It was so much harder to ignore while trying to be sociable! If she could just think for a moment, she'd forget the sand was even there. But the bokoblin man in front of her looked like he wanted to talk, and thinking about other things right now would be rude. If she couldn't think though, she needed to talk, but she should let him talk first and-

    "... S-....Spaghet Yettin."

Tessa shook his hand, seemingly oblivious to his sweat as she did so. She tried to fight back the look of increasing frustration she knew was dawning on her face as she shook his hand, certain he would misinterpret it. She felt her lungs reaching the point of explosion and then-

"Tessa Smith, adventurer, scout, and shiny shield owner! What're you doing out here? Did they hire you too? They said hey we have this portal and it's super scary and we'd love it if you could just close it for us so I was like yeah sure I'll close your portal and they were like awesome have a gem it makes the heat less intense and I pointed out well hey I've already got these earrings but they were all nah it's pretty bad out there take t-" Tessa stopped abruptly in mid sentence, sucking in an enormous breath. She hadn't breathed since she'd begun speaking. She really needed to work on that. "Right, where was I? Oh, yeah, they gave me this cool gem and if I focus on it which is really the challenge lemme tell you but it make all the light dim and everything gets cooler! See?"

She held up the gem and concentrated as hard as she could, forcing the gem to activate. For a moment she looked insufferably pleased as the light dimmed and the temperature dropped, but then she lost control and felt the light intensify again.

"Aw. And it was working so well! So, like I was asking, what're you doing out here?"

Tessa smiled at Spaghet as she awaited his reply. She was still smiling, unflinchingly, as a tidal wave of scorching sand came over her, heated to even greater heights by the worm's body. The sand settled, after a moment, to reveal her...still sitting there, staring and smiling, with absolutely no reaction to the sand. Or the wolf.

It would be rude to break off her conversation without allowing Spaghet to answer, after all. Rude.

He tried to pay attention, he truly, honestly did. But she spoke a bit too fast for Spaghet to process everything she said. Although he caught most of it, it was quite obvious that he was confused. She activated her gem and Spaghet began to shake again. He had forgotten about that... And he had forgotten that Wiki had managed to snatch one as well. A sigh escaped him. He tried to put out of his mind exactly how he and Wiki had gotten here. He was supposed to have entered into this realm with an actually capable friend.

But the moblin had no time to answer he question as he was bombarded with some sand. Spaghet bit down sharply on his lips. He held back a small scream, but he was quite certain that some of the noise escaped. Even with what he was given to protect him mildly from the harsh elements of this land, he hated sand. He hated sand anywhere near him and especially when it got under his clothes. He had no idea how Hylians tolerated the substance in their shoes and socks even. Horrifying.

The moblin of course noticed the a very large and furred creature heading towards them. He was worried about it from the moment he had smelt the beast, and when it approached he felt heart palpitations.

"A-About that," Spaghet said, looking at the beast that the woman was ignoring. Was this her creature?! Spaghet's shakes increased. He did not want to tell the woman the reason for his being in this realm. "... w-well we certainly have bigger priorities. T-The worm, f-for one thing." He looked back at the creature that - for now - was ignoring the group. "... A-And... I ... I'm actually looking for someone. Have you... seen anyone else?"

    Tessa tiled her head.

"Oh, I've seen plenty of people. Just not here. But how hard could it be to find someone in a desert! No, wait, forget I said that. Obvious in hindsight. Let's...letsletsletsletslets oh! I did see a pretty big, mostly intact building! We should climb it! I bet we'd see for miles! It was..." Tessa hopped up onto her feet and spun, staggering for a moment as she felt a moment of head rush. She ran back to the top of the dune she'd just rolled down, then stopped to look around. She shielded her eyes with a hand at first before realizing she could just make some shade with that handy little gem.

Some ruined houses, a shattered wall, possibly an old barn...

"Aha! Over there! Looks like an old belfry. Okay, intact was an exaggeration. The rest of the building is just like gone. But the tower is standing! We could look around from there, or maybe ring the bell and see if your friend hears! Let's gooooooooooo!"

Tessa moved her hands in a shooing motion towards the distant tower, grinning at Spaghet the whole time.

Spaghet visibly began to shrink as the woman continued to speak. As he drew back into himself, he tried to listen the best he could. He watched her jump up and he recoiled, of course, at her sudden movement. Why was this woman so energetic? It was more than slightly off putting. But Spaghet did his best to smile and nod, but he couldn't help his lips pursing slightly in disapproval. As the woman used that small gem, Spaghet's own pocket felt heavy.

She suddenly spoke again and Spaghet jumped slightly, nodding on instinct even before he heard her idea of ringing a bell. Of course, of course. That.. that actually could work. He blinked slightly before and his eyes darted slightly to the side. Why wouldn't she stop smiling? And it seemed like she couldn't keep still. But then again, Spaghet was used to shaking himself. He couldn't really fault someone for being.. enthusiastic.

"Y-Yes.." Spaghet said. "Yes of course." He wiped the sweat from under his wig and adjusted his glasses. Part of him wanted to just rip it off, but most of him figured that he wasn't instantly attacked because of his strange appearance. At least he was... worth a chuckle.

Spaghet timidly began to walk in the direction of the tower, figuring that the shooing motion was supposed to mean he was to lead the way. The thought instantly made him stop walking. He wasn't ready for this sort of responsibility. He looked back at the woman nervously, looked forward again, and then kept walking. Maybe she wouldn't notice the fact he had his tail literally tucked between his legs. As soon as he noticed its unconscious position, however, he was quick to adjust it.

"S-... So Miss Smith was it?" Spaghet asked from over his shoulder. He paused, realizing his next question needed to wait. More important matters needed to be attended to "Ah, is the er-, honorific acceptable?" Hylians..

"Hey, call me Miss Smith all you want if that's what you'd like. It makes me sound...posh. Miss Smith. Mizz Tessa Smith. Madame Smith! Serah Smith. Lady Smiiii no, not that one, that one's rubbish. Miss Smith is totally fine though, sure, why not?"

Tessa kept an eye on the giant worm as they moved towards the tower, but it seemed pretty disinterested in them so far. She wondered if it could even see them, or if it would care if it could. What measure were they before something so huge? It seemed to be the only thing out here though, so that was nice.

As they moved towards the tower, Tessa alternated between following and leading Spaghet for no real reason. The tower drew inexorably closer, and then she was bounding up the steps two at a time.

"Ah, yes. Sand. And rocks...and the worm...oh, hey, the bell is missing. I guess we could just shout. You should probably do that, cuz if I do your friend'll just be like 'well who the hell is this person and why does she know my name' except I don't actually know her name? So I guess you'd have to tell me that first anyway. Or just shout yourself! Either or! Take your pick!"

Spaghet did his best to keep up with all of the titles she was throwing around. He was just glad that in the end she confirmed that it was alright to continue with his presumed honorific. That made him feel good, of course. He hated to get titles wrong and guessing them right on the first go was always a nice accomplishment however small it might be.

He appreciated that the woman was willing to lead sometimes.. mostly because he was partly stuck in his own head. The man needed it right now: both because of the giant worm next to them and the onslaught he just experienced from the woman he was now journeying with. Spaghet looked up at her in a moment while she was leading. He didn't know much about her to be quite honest despite the large amount of words she had spouted out... and knowing his luck lately he was worried she was some sort of spirit or apparition. His body tensed for a moment before he realized he had shaken her hand. He shook his head and tried his best to ignore such thoughts.

They arrived at the tower and Spaghet hesitated at the entrance, but Tessa skipping up two steps at a time made him smile slightly. It was rather innocent compared to Spaghet's hesitant ascent. The timid man did his best to keep pace, but it was obvious that he was lagging behind.

He climbed to the top just in time to hear her mention that the bell was missing. He grimaced. Of course. A sigh escaped him at her choice of words.

"... She's not my friend," Spaghet was quick to correct. "She's..." Spaghet's eyes rolled and his frown deepened while he tried to think of an applicable word. Client? Playfellow? Childhood obligation? Thorn in his side? ".. her name is Wiki. Just.. Just Wiki." He sighed. Part of him knew that an unknown woman screaming out her name would attract more interest and a possible appearance than him screaming it anyhow. All he would get in response would be a Breeze Whispered insult.

"Wiki!" Tessa shouted immediately. She took a sip from her canteen. "Ow. That...that actually kind of hurt my throat. Hopefully she heard, because I am not sure I can do it again. Again, ow!"

Tessa stepped back from the low wall at the edge of the tower, trying to come up with another plan. Throw stuff off the tower? Fun, but not overly helpful. Throw herself off the tower? Probably doable with her hover boots, but again, not very useful. If all else failed she could try shouting some more. With how much her throat hurt, she thought that might end with her whispering for a day or two, but it's not like she needed the volume for anything else. Shine her mirror shield like a spotlight? That could work, if she had any idea which direction to shine it in. Or what to shine it on.

For now, she figured she would just keep checking the horizon for signs of life.

"HEY," the raspy response was immediate. Spaghet whipped his attention towards Tessa before a torrent of leaves began to assault his vision. "I thought you couldn't do that falsetto bullshit anymore? Where are you, you swine? Hang on, hang on, I know you love screaming my name, but you've always have had such fuckin' awful endurance, can't you do something more sustainable?" Spaghet's face contorted and a slight blush made its way onto his face. He was once again glad he was born with pink fur. He did his best to ignore Wiki's comment. He hoped Tessa would as well. She wasn't even physically here to make a first impression and Spaghet's was already being thrown under a cart. He sighed.

With a quick flick of his wrist and a puff of smoke, Spaghet's violin was Summoned into existence. He looked towards Tessa, straightened his back the best he could, and then let out another sigh.

"Cover your ears, please," Spaghet said before immediately slamming the bow down onto all five strings at once. The sound was horrendous, but he continued playing it until leaves appeared infront of him

"SHUT UP SHUT UP!" the leaves screeched "The tower, right?! Just keep quiet if I'm right -- oh wait I know I'm right, so just shut up and stay put."

Spaghet slumped as he put down his instrument. Defeated, it seemed as if he was slouched over even more now, if that was even possible. He looked towards Tessa again before the ground beneath him began to shake. Part of him worried that his extraordinarily loud noise had attracted more than just Wiki's attention. The other part of him was trying not to panic completely.

Tessa cocked her head to the side as Wiki spoke, waiting for an opportunity to cut in and point out she had done the shouting. Just as she opened her mouth, however, Spaghet's violin poofed into existence. Before she could ask how that happened- although the answer was probably just 'magic'- he commanded her to cover her ears. Assuming he meant to play a dangerous song of some sort, she dutifully, obeyed...

And then her ears were assaulted by a dissonant screech reminiscent of a child's first time hefting a musical instrument. She was unable to keep herself from cringing, but even so, Spaghet never bothered to explain what that was all about. Probably, he hadn't even noticed her expression! He did seem rather...defeated. Odd, considering they had located his companion- or, rather, she had located them. Close enough.

"Mission accomplished? But, ah, now what?"

"S-Sorry," Spaghet said, apologizing for multiple things: the loud noise, the lack of explanation, and his current general demeanor... but mostly because this woman was about to deal with the most obnoxious guttersnipe he knew. Despite his defeated stance, Spaghet tensed. It was very clear that he wasn't pleased with whatever he was sensing. He sniffed the air and then straightened up to get a better whiff. He glanced at Tessa and flashed her a nervous smile. It was not a friendly smile.

"... I-I suggest we leave," Spaghet said, noticing that the ground beneath him continued to shake slightly. How inconvenient it must be to wear shoes. "Bef--"

But before he even had a chance to finish, the tower itself gave a terrifying lurch to the side, throwing Spaghet off balance. He followed his nose to the side he assumed the danger was. Unfortunately he was right, as he was not prepared to see the sand beneath the tower begin to twist and turn. As it did, he noticed the air around them begin to heat up again. He turned towards Tessa. Spaghet was not prepared to fight and he was not prepared to die.

    "M-Miss?!"

    Tessa's mind raced.

The worm was eating the tower, because of course it was. Did Spaghet manage to play its mating call or something? Irrelevant. Can't kill it; too big. Can't slide down it; too hot. Can't deter it; no ice or water or any idea what else it might dislike. Can't wait for Wiki to see what she can do; not enough time. Send it a message saying 'don't eat us'? No, probably can't understand words.

She looked over the edge of the tower, noting the distance to the ground and the height of the worm. It wasn't coming closer to them, but the tower was dropping towards it. Perfect! Actually, legitimately, perfect. Hover Boots, then. She could run parallel to the ground for a few steps, then drop neatly away from the worm. The only problem was the heat- her earrings would protect her from that, but not Spaghet. She activated her orb, bringing into existence a cocoon of shade around them, and looked over to Spaghet.

"Grab on. When we're low enough to survive the fall, I jump off the tower and walk us past the worm. Til then," she said, holding up the Shadow Orb, "these keep us- you, really- from cooking to death."

At that, Tessa grinned, in spite of her proximity to a very large monster's stomach.

The man felt sweat boiling up under his wig, both from anxiety and from the incredible heat swelling around him. He didn't have the protection of such equipment that would allow him to withstand fire explicitly. He was told that the orb given to him would protect him, and thus he clutched it dutifully in his hands. The aura of shadow seemed to extend and strengthen, and part of him even felt lighter. He immediately felt sick after activating it, however, knowing that his companion acquired the orb (and her entrance to this realm in essence) due to deceit. By extension, he was a co-conspirator. He shivered.

But Spaghet was quick to accept the woman's help in escape. Anyone who would be hesitant to grab onto someone when their life was in danger was a damned fool. The moblin let of go of the orb back in his pocket and quickly scampered over to the woman, stumbling over himself once and dropping onto all fours before pouncing onto her back. Was she prepared? She better have been. Spaghet was already crawling over her back. He unknowingly used his tail in a fleeting effort to help balance the pair.

He hoped that the aura made by her would protect them both, as he was busy joining his arms and legs together around the woman's shoulders and torso. He didn't want to be an inconvenience to her movement, but even Spaghet knew that just under a hundred pounds of extra weight would put anyone off balance, especially after his hasty and unannounced clamoring.

Tessa was indeed ready, but Spaghet was actually a little bit early. She sat in a slightly awkward, sweaty silence as they waited for the tower to sink a bit more, trying to just focus on her Shadow Orb. It wasn't easy; maintaining concentration never was for her. She almost lost it a couple time, between the monotony of waiting and the shaking of the floor beneath her.

Then, she stepped up onto the railing, activated her boots, and walked out onto thin air.

It was always hard gauging distances this way, several feet above an actual surface. On the other hand, it wouldn't hurt to push the boots to the max. As Tessa walked, she tried to build up some momentum so that when the boots did drop her-

-she continued forward as she fell, momentum carrying her just a little bit further. Halfway down she remembered to turn the boots off, so she could stick the landing better, and then they were on the ground. Tessa's feet buried themselves in the sand by several inches when she hit, causing her to fall forward...and plant her face in the sand as well. She came up sputtering, turned to look at the worm, and then yanked her feet out of the ground and ran.

The fact that this woman was waiting and not immediately jumping off only increased Spaghet's perspiring and agitation. It could also have been due to the fact he was getting increasingly more and more uncomfortable as the heat around them increased. The moblin knew that getting too close to that worm would scorch his hide. He was meters upon meters away from it and he was already sweltering.

He prayed to the Goddesses that Wiki was nowhere near that thing, considering she was made out of wood. She wasn't reckless enough to get herself burnt to a crisp. He hoped.

But his internal monologue was cut short as Tessa began to ascend and walk -- and then Spaghet was falling with her. His stomach lurched, his grip tightened, and he of course did his best not to squeal. He was fine with heights, falling even, but not when he wasn't the one doing the climbing or the landing. Who knew if this unknown Hylian woman was competent enough to stick a landing on all fours or why was she accelerating why were they accelerating?!

From Spaghet's judgement, it was clear that she wasn't when she looked as if she was about to fall face first into the sand. Spaghet quickly unhooked himself from Tessa and rolled forward. As soon as he was able he scrambled to his feet, his back facing the heat and his will fighting through the pain. He could have sworn he felt some of his clothing catch a more than few hot pieces of sand that burned through straight away.

Spaghet was more of a coward than a hero, opting to leave Tessa behind as he scampered away from the heat. She would understand, right? Right.

Wiki was watching the pair. For once, she hadn't engaged something recklessly. She had been hiding, doing her best to step lightly. Why would she engage a giant, fire spitting worm? No. No that was not something she was interested in at all. She was made out of wood... and was dumb enough to enter into this realm without anything to protect herself. She actually had no intention of going towards Spaghet. She was using him as a lure to try to draw that thing out. She knew he would try to alert Wiki of his location in a stupid way.. and sure enough, not only the scrub was alerted. However, the scrub was actually a lot closer than the pair probably anticipated (her vision really wasn't that great are you joking). So she was able to begin to make her way over.

Wiki made sure to wait until Spaghet was out of earshot from the woman before she Breeze Whispered him again, albeit she wasn't screeching as much as usual. "Hey-- turn right, just turn right and run, there's a pretty deep hole hidden in a ditch over the second dune - don't, don't bring along any dead weight."

Spaghet stopped suddenly and looked back, he bit his lip. He shook his head and turned around, running back to grab Tessa. Wiki really was an asshole, he wasn't going to leave someone behind, especially when she just helped him.

"T-T-Turn..." Spaghet said, and then blinked. "T-Turn right! Y-YOUR RIGHT, T-TURN YOUR RIGHT." He clarified not because he assumed she was dumb, but because Wiki would have yelled at him to make sure. He.. sometimes meant his perspective. This time he was right.

Of course she saw Spaghet turn around and she grumbled. Augh. She.. didn't want to have to deal with any other people besides Spaghet right now, especially if they were a Hylian - a Gerudo? Maybe? With the hair.. Wiki wasn't sure. The gamble wasn't worth it. She didn't even really want to be here.. she simply was here because .. well.. reasons.

Spaghet kept running towards Tessa as he shouted, "T-there's a hole over two dunes, to the right, i-in a ditch!!" Wow that sounded so exciting and very enticing as an escape route A+
