    Name: Rukh'krox
    Race: River Zora
    Age:22
    Gender:Male
    Place of Origin:Moruge Swamp
    PWC:4/1/3
    Treasures and Rupees:

Iron Boots with Summon (25 Rupees)
    Mirror Shield (25 Rupees)
    50 Rupees
    Racial Perk: Amphibious
    Racial Perk: Aquatic Birth
    Racial Birth: Fire
    Equipment:

Armour: Eschewing the mobile, aquatic nature of most Zora, Rukh'krox can usually be seen wading through the swamp in a scaled, pitted plate that trades in the way of mobility for an increase in defensive stature. While his own scales provide ample protection from the threats the swamp carries, the large Zora invites the hardest blows confident that his stature, hardiness and bulwark can protect him.

Iron Boots: Rukh'krox's Iron Boots are an unusual choice for a Zora, but when coupled with his amphibious nature, he can patrol the bottoms of lakes and other bodies of water with implacable, if slow, surety. Priding himself as an immovable juggernaut, it is a common sight to see Rukh'krox wading through the swamp with slow, thunderous strides, maul and shield in hand, paving the way for the rest of his brethren in battle with whatever threats intend to disturb the River Zora.

Stone Maul: A crude, unwieldly weapon made from a large rock bound to a wooden shaft, Rukh'krox favours it over a more elegant or skilful weapon, choosing heavy, sweeping blows over decisive sword-thrusts or daggers in the dark. It is heavy and weighted, but Rukh'krox has the innate strength needed to wield it in one hand, his other carrying his shield as he patiently waits for an opportunity to break bones and shatter front-lines.

Mirror Shield: True to the rugged nature of its wielder, Rukh'krox's mirror shield is battered and dented, though the reflective surface has kept its inexplicable sheen, trapped in its rusted, hefty casing. It lacks intricate detail in favour of practicality, its handle bent to fit its bearer's arm to better shield from blows while he waits, maul raised, to strike a more telling blow.

    Pet: None

Appearance: The first thing you will notice about Rukh'krox is his size; large by Zora standards, he stands taller than even an average Hylian, though only by a small amount. Scaled armour and sinewy bulk lend to an imposing physique, and murky green hue to his scales mark undeniably his place as a River Zora. While his armour covers his chest and legs, there is room for his three spined dorsal fins that run from the sides and top of his head, down the back of his neck before merging at his lower back.

When you look Rukh'krox in the face, his most distinguishing feature is his mouth; unusually large, wide and filled with needle-like teeth, his wicked grin and fearsome scowl are two facial expressions extensuated by his maw. His nose is small and aquiline, his eyes narrow and slanted with a blue hue to them, and his hands end in cruelly hooked claws.

Finally, the large Zora wears a cloak of thin, iridiscent scales that reflect light, causing it to dance behind him in the dim lights of the Moruge Swamp as he defends his homeland.

Personality: Bitter. Resentful. Determined. All three are very good words to describe the violent Zora that is Rukh'krox. Driven by his race's hatred of the Blue Zora and a personal vendetta against their transgressions, Rukh'krox has grown into a spiteful wall of pain that will strike blows before talking, and crush before asking questions. Impulsive, angry and ill-tempered, he may have had a different name once, but he has grown to adopt the one he has been given; Rukh'krox, in Blue Zora dialect, means 'Tidebreaker'.

That is not to say that allegiances are beneath him. Until he has been wronged, Rukh'krox is happy to ignore, tolerate, even speak to other races, albeit with a suspicion that is apparent in his accusing stare and a simmering resentment bubbling beneath his scaly skin. But a keeper of grudges is he, and once he has been wronged, he will never forgive, never forget, and never rest until revenge has been attained.

In truth, Rukh'krox is a wounded beast, a Zora that has built from the ground up and owes his strength to nobody. Having lost his friends and family to treachery, his bitter hatred of both the Blue Zora that doomed him to solitude and turncoats in general have defined the large River Zora into little more than a ravening beast, a living weapon of revenge. To say it is all a facade, that he wishes for a family, would be pushing it a bit, but in truth Rukh'krox does let the thought of companionship cross his mind. But until he has a cause, he will simply continue his implacable crusade of retribution with a scowl.

    Background:

Spawned in a school of nine, the Zora that would be known as Rukh'krox lived his first years under the protection of his sires; to stay safe for those years was often the hardest part of life for the River Zora, for you were famished, ravenous and feeble, vulnerable to the inhabitants of their unforgiving home. But, while a couple of his brethren did not make it, he flourished, his stature unusually bulky for a Zora, but for it he was praised, urged to train his body to better serve his kind. Through adolescence, the large Zora tempered himself against the lesser enemies of the Swamp, often sustaining injuries at the hands of Lizalfos, but always recovering and coming back stronger. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad.

    But then, it happened.

His warband had spotted a small encampment of hated Blue Zora on the outskirts of the Moruge; a scouting party, perhaps, or lost travellers. Needless to say, their presence would not be tolerated. In haste, they ambushed them, but the Blue Zora gave a small, knowing smile as the rest of their hidden kind emerged from the flanks; one co-ordinated Electric Aura, and most of the River Zora fell dead. Those who survived scattered, focusing on survival and nothing else. But witnessing his mother, his father, his brothers, caught in a death-trap for no reason other than a feud...it pushed him too far.

He earned his name a few years later. Once again, Blue Zora were spotted around the Swamp, but they had grown brash; no scouting party, but a full blown excursion. But this time...he was ready. Iron boots upon his feet, he shambled to the front, heavy mace in hand as he trampled on at a slow pace, mirror shield protecting him from the bursts of electricity. They sent their strongest at him, but he shrugged off the heaviest blows, returning with a rib-shattering swing. Three more washed over him, but with his stature and strength, he held them off enough for his brethren to finish them. Finally, one cast a lance of ice, but it was reflected by his Mirror Shield, impaling the caster where she stood. The party retreated, and the River Zora had earned an unlikely victory.

After many painful lessons in humility and strength, the Blue Zora began to call him 'Rukh'krox', and to present day he has continued to defend his home, an immovable guardian and custodian of revenge. But now...his ambitions have extended beyond the Moruge Swamp. Now, it is time for him to strike out, empower himself in the world's riches, and to seek greater foes.

While the character itself is fine, I do have a few questions about... well, what really, well and truly, makes fighting plastered to the ground an advantage, when your biggest group of enemies are swift, agile swimmers? I can't imagine that, in the time it takes for him to swing his maul, that he manages to simply catch them off guard or something similar to that. More importantly, when the group he fought could have simply gone over or around him, why did they feel it was necessary to fight this one enemy?

I get the two subraces despise each other, but it's not so much so that it literally detracts from their rational thinking.

But anyways. If you can answer all of these question with well-thought responses, then I'll allow him to pass. Otherwise, I feel like some revisions are necessary.
