How RPing in Ylisse works

Certain roleplaying mechanics work very differently in Ylisse from how they work in Hyrule. In this thread I will try to explain how we work in this board.

How many RPs can a character be in at a time?
Ylisse distinguishes two types of roleplaying threads. The first is the Regular Roleplay: A thread which, at the end of the grading, rewards its participants with levels, weapon experience, and supports at the discretion of the grading mod. The second is the Social Roleplay, which rewards only support levels.

A character can participate in at most two Regular Roleplays at once, but there is no limit to the number of Social Roleplays that a character can participate in simultaneously.
If I have two characters, can both participate in the same thread?
This depends on the type of thread.

Because Regular Roleplays award levels, we do not want to see people making solo threads with their own two characters to 'farm' levels and weapon levels. For this reason, only one character per roleplayer may participate in the same Regular Roleplaying thread.

For Social Roleplays, which only offer supports, this limit is not in place. Anyone can put both their characters in a Social Roleplay, even if they are the only RPer in it.

Discussion threads
The Discussion Threads forum is meant for all out-of-character discussion of the roleplay. Most RPs will start here, with an OOC Discussion thread. These threads can be used to recruit participants for your roleplay, inform everyone of the plot hook of the thread, etc. If a Quest Bureau thread in the Hyrule RP serves the purpose, an OOC Discussion thread will, too. A mod will NOT have to approve the thread before you can begin, but one may show up and ask for more detailed information or to change things a little.

OOC Discussion threads are NOT a mandatory part of RPing in Ylisse, but they can make your life, and discussion of the events in the thread, a lot easier.

In-character posts
All in-character posting will have to be done in the Roleplaying Threads forum. If you are the thread runner, select the forum of the country in which your thread takes place and start the RP. If you don't have an OOC Discussion thread, we would appreciate it if you could include a list of participating characters in the opening post.

Grading
When an RP is finished, either because it is completed or prematurely, you can submit it here. A mod will claim it as theirs to grade, and within a reasonable timespan they will post in the In-character thread with their feedback. It is at this point that your characters' levels, weapon levels, and support levels will increase if the mod deems it appropriate. If you want to get supports out of an RP, you will be best off asking for it in the grading form.
