Members of Hyrule Castle can be classified into three categories: Newbie, Regular, and Veteran.

Newbies are what every new member automatically becomes. A Newbie can distribute 3 P/W/C points on each of his characters. Newbies' characters can only be of the standard races, and they can only ever possess one Major Treasure.

Once a Newbie's stuck around long enough and proved himself a decent, active, respectable Roleplayer, he can be nominated to become a Regular. A Regular must choose to nominate a Newbie, posting a nomination topic in the hidden Regulars' subforum. If the Regulars vote accordingly, the Newbie in question will ascend into their ranks. Regulars have four P/W/C points to pour into their characters, and they can obtain up to two Major Treasures for each of them. Regulars have access, not only to the standard races, but also to the two Regular races: Kokiri and Korok. Note that members who become Staff are automatically given the Regular rank.

A Regular could be nominated to become a Veteran at any time. A Regular need only be 'decent.' A Veteran should be the cream of the crop, the best of the best. When you look at a Veteran's Roleplaying post, you should know beyond any shadow of a doubt that he deserves his position. Veterans are nominated in the same way Regulars are. However, Staffers can also chip in their votes for Veteran nominations, whereas Regulars cannot. New Veterans will have access to both the Regular and Veterans' hidden forums, their votes will count as 1.5 in Newbie promotion polls, they have a whopping five P/W/C points to lavish on each of their characters, and their characters can each obtain up to three Major Treasures per character. Finally, they can now choose to create characters from the exclusive Veteran races: Skull Kid, Subrosian, Tokay, and Picori.
