Chimes has no practical use but to make Patience feel better. Height: 6'0" Weight: 165 lbs. Appearance: For a Gerudo she is somewhat on the thin and short side. She has bright red hair (what a twist!) with a long, rather thin braid down the left side, and loose with some beads and feathers tied in at the right side, a little over her face and mostly straight. She has a larger, beakish nose, even a bit more so than the Gerudo norm. Her face is slightly longer and more angular than most though still attractive with a variety of eye shadow or other makeup used as she sees fit. Today it is a simple black ring around the eyes meant to reduce glare and make her seem a bit more intimidating on her mothers insistence, though Patience would prefer to use some brighter, more attractive colors. She wears mostly white and green clothes including an asymmetrical skirt and sash (high on the left side), minimal halter-type top, and a cloak for when weather happens. The white tends to dominate with the green taking on stylized leaf patterns. She also has a pricey ruby and platinum forehead decoration. She wears long leather boots that come up over her knees and are a medium brown with gold colored metal fastenings. She wears similar brown and gold gloves, and the quiver is of similar colors and materials. Shoulder bag, ditto. Her daggers are simple brown and steel and though her bow looks plain it is very well crafted. Personality: Patience tends to put on the charm for the ladies she encounters and the more attractive someone is the more attention they get from her. In stark contrast to this is her attitude towards men. She tends to ignore, get easily irritated by, or is outright disgusted by men. She may begrudgingly praise what she considers exceptional behavior or deeds from men, but readily applauds even minor achievements of a choice lady. She has a very poor attitude when she doesn't feel like doing something, which is mostly anything her mother wants of her. Or the propagation of the Gerudo race as she can't imagine the Gerudo won't get along without her... contribution. She detests her mother who has never been much of one and has given Patience the ultimatum of following her footsteps or becoming a breeder. Or death, and Patience often ponders the value of the final option compared to the other two. Though she may seem to not care about much Patience actually has a lot of passion, she just doesn't have any for pirating, or the ocean. Or again anything her mother wants. She hates to back down or give up on things she has chosen for herself and hates being told how to live. Loves her little green and blue parakeet, Chimes, with an almost sickening level of affection. Background: "Goddess, give me patience." Her mother had said shortly before Patience was born. This plea was less for the gift of a child she I intended to name Patience and more the desire for the will to finish the grueling experience and Patience happened to be a convenient name she didn't have too think much about. In fact, though Patience was intended to be her heir, the latter issue was entirely the case. Her mother has since stopped praying for patience. Born to a ruthless pirate captain Patience never willingly took to sea life and crime but had certain expectations placed on her. Patience has never much enjoyed the life she was born into and has rebelled as often and as vigorously as she can against the vision her mother has for her and her future. Unfortunately, rebelling against such a vicious and heartless woman has only tightened the leash, so to say, and now Patience is mostly resigned to the lesser evil of becoming a pirate captain. Besides, maybe one day mother will be captured or killed? Unpleasant fates to be sure but the woman had certainly earned it, even in her own daughters eyes. Patience, despite her best efforts, has learned plenty on how to run a ship and plunder hapless merchants and even fend off armed escorts. She fears her mother will soon give her her own ship to command and likely things will only get more difficult from there. At least so far she has avoided doing much in the way of anything, using her skill with the bow and flaming arrows to set ships on fire and avoid command duties or boarding for the most part. Patience especially disliked watching someone die by her own hand, they always looked so terrified and what of their loved ones? There was really no such thing as "nothing personal" as far as Patience was concerned but these thoughts especially she had to keep to herself. Today the ruthless fleet Captain Issandra has caught wind of a group of merchant ships approaching and intends to use a cluster of small islands to take them in ambush, her raiding ships being far more maneuverable and familiar with the area than the one large escort frigate headed their way. However this day would be different, this day the true strength of the merchants escort was hidden among the larger ships, and one brilliant strategist in particular was ready and waiting for the Gerudo attack.
