Footsteps, shouting, and the clattering of armor echo through the halls of the palace. More activity than it's seen in a long time: for once, it seems, that life has returned to this place. The princess watches as her men bustle about the court with vim and vigor, and ponders upon this for a moment. It takes her a few moments, before she understands why. Despite the seemingly dire times they are in, hope has been returned. With the loss of their great hero, the morale of the kingdom had been brought to its knees: a feeling she could well sympathize with. And yet, despite this, others have have risen up to assume the mantle of hero.

It began, first, with a young prince and a woman both defending their homeland. They had done so valiantly, and in the end had seen the evil beneath the volcano destroyed, saving both the entire island from the putrefying smoke, as well as Valoo. Already tales were beginning to spread of their bravery, and it was apparent that the people of Hyrule would soon begin to expect great things from them. And yet, that was not the only threat to the land.

Far to the south, a great tower was ravaging the Kokiri homeland, and it seemed that the land would be torn asunder by madness. But two answered the call: a young Hylian swordsman with humble beginnings, and a mysterious Kokiri mage. Reports held little information on their triumph, but the two had made the perilous climb, destroying both the tower and its winged master in the process. A scar would remain on that land for a long, long time, but the princess shuddered to think what might have happened, had that mysterious duo not appeared.

Then, there was the matter of Impa, a town cleaved into the sea. Despite the presence of the both Nihil and Onox, the army presence there had accomplished nothing. No, it was only through the efforts of two brothers of the Sheikah, that the third crisis had been resolved. Indeed, they had fought against even General Nihil himself and proved triumphant, and had saved many. Even if unwanted, the two would be hailed as heroes along the coast.

Hope had returned to her people, and she had begun to feel it herself. And yet, she couldn't help but feel that this would not be the end to the crises. No, if there was anything she had come to learn over the years, it was that one does not wake from the nightmare that is war.

    Official Orders from Castle Town:

It has come to our attention that three anomalies have appeared on the surface of Hyrule. As before, as always, our land is in dire need of heroes, of those who will rise up to the occasion to defend our land. Though their direct cause is yet unknown, it is clear that their source is seated deep within Death Mountain. Three portals have appeared, one to the north in the deep snows of Snowhead, a second embedded within the detritus of Moruge Swamp, and a third hidden deep in the Eastern Caves. With their appearance, a resurgence of monsters has occurred in those areas, every day we struggle to main a foothold surrounding these portals. One thing is abundantly clear: something is contained in each of those dimensional fragments, something the enemy dearly wishes to keep from us. If you wish to fight for your land, you will not find yourself wanting for friends: to the north, our men are guided by the Yeti natives in guerrilla warfare against monster forces. At Moruge, the Deku from the palace to the north fight against their mad cousins, while Mahirid secures the Eastern Caves to the south. Rendezvous with these allies, and they shall guide your path, and see to it that you make it to the portals unharmed. What you do from there is up to you.
