Equipment: Melari’s main piece of equipment is her magical broom. Roughly three feet in length when in its normal size, it appears to be a normal wooden broom at a glance- a long, wooden stick with a strap and handle closer to the end with the bustle of straw sticking outward. Melari has various pouches and bottles attached to her belt pouch, typically containing all sorts of various ingredients and components. A small handful of bottles are filled with water, giving her an instant source of water should she need some to control.

Weapons: Melari has no weapons at her disposal, though she tends to employ her magic broom as one when necessary.

Clothing and Armor: Melari does not wear any armor. Typically she dons thin clothing with a thick, hooded light-blue robe on top. The only time she takes the robe off is when temperatures are too insufferable to wear it. Resting on her head is a red stocking cap, her Gnat Hat.

Physical Description: While Melari does not differ much from what one may expect when picturing a member of the Minish, should they even know what one looks like in the first place, her features are notably more mouse-like than others. She has a curved, pointed snout, ears that are more wide than long- though still pointed at their ends-, and a longer, more whip like tail. Her tail is donned with white feathers, and it blends into a light shade of red, almost closer to pink, as it nears the middle of the tail. Thin, light brown fur decorates her scalp. It is long enough to braid, which she typically does if there is ever a need, but Melari tends to keep it tucked away underneath her hat.

Personality: Melari is a very headstrong girl. She is not one to sit quietly or idly- she much prefers to act. She chases after what she wants with great determination, though tends to get sidetracked rather easily if something else that peaks her interests comes into view. In this regard, she is rather selfish, though that is not to say she is not a kind person- she is not out to steal from or harm anyone, and is typically rather eager to help those who need it. In general, Melari hates fighting. She has little in the way of combat training- while she is not against standing up to those she must, quite the opposite, she has little to no practical experience. Even her water control, while talented, has not been taught to her for the purposes of combat, so it is not a comfortable combat tool for her.

She is rather mischievous, and this shows in two forms. She enjoys tricking or pranking others to a minor degree, though her favorite trick is splashing water on others while in her Minish form. However, she also considers things such as planting spare rupees in someone’s shoe for when they put them on- therefore giving them the rupees- as a prank. She does enjoy doing these “positive” pranks, as she calls them.

These things tend to please Melari far more than whatever task or assignment she’s been given by her mother. While talented and knowledgeable in her own right, with great potential to succeed in her field, Melari is quite disinterested in the studious and tedious atmosphere of her mother’s tasks. This is not to say Melari finds potion making disinteresting- far from it-, but simply that she does not tend to take it seriously. As such, Melari tends to put less effort into it than she should. Still, she eventually accomplishes the tasks given to her, even if she gets distracted along the way- Melari is more interested in the adventure of finding things, rather than the thing itself.

Backstory: Melari, like most Minish, was born to a small Minish tribe tucked away and hidden from the view of any. Indeed, her village was nestled in the far reaches of the world, where adventurers would have to go through great lengths, and face many ferocious beasts just to hope to catch a glimpse of their culture. Indeed, its location was none other than Madame Briselle’s House for Lost Animals, in Mabe Village on Koholint Island. Her village has remained here for many a year, and in return, they assist with the upkeep of the place- helping clean and take after the animals, provide a rupee here and there to help the place stay in business, and so on. In return, their village remains a closely hidden secret none shall find. Because of this, her village has formed a close bond with animals, and all born in it have the innate ability to communicate with beasts of any kind.

Melari is no such exception. Growing up, she assisted her village in these very tasks, though she had additional tasks as well. Her mother was a wise and old witch, a potion master said to be able to craft all sorts of wondrous and nasty concoctions. Melari, in turn, was trained in these ways; she would often assist her mother in her duties, and learn much from them. Her mother was no ordinary potion master, however; she was trained in a special technique said to be a Minish secret. By becoming one with the potion you are making, with the liquid, you are said to create the best of potions, and as such, Minish employing this technique used magical water controlling arts to assist them in their creations. Melari spent many years learning this special technique of potion making, though she is little more than a novice at best, both due to her lack of real experience and the lack of seriousness she applies to her training. Yet still, her mother fervently gives her many tasks and assignments, some ranging from the simple gathering of ingredients to having her fly across Hyrule for certain tasks. She sees the potential in Melari to become a great witch, the girl simply needs to devote herself more.
