    Residence:
Marrog lives in a farmhouse that has been owned by his family for generations since they first moved to the south-western pastures of Monster Village under the protection of the Stone Towers to the north and the mountain ranges to the east and south. Their primary means of income are the herds of strong Bullbo that they breed and rear as mounts for buyers, or for their meat, tusks and bristles. They also collect flora from the surrounding area and cultivate various goods botanically to sell them or make use of them in feeding the swine or themselves.

    Equipment:
Herder's crook staff - An ordinary stave with a hooked end, used to pull piglets away from danger. Marrog will also use it as a walking stick on long hikes and as an instrument for dowsing.
Shortbow - Primarily used to ward off trespassers, raiders and predators that threaten the farm. Comes accompanied with a quiver of arrows.
Knife - Marrog typically uses this blade to fletch collected wood to craft bows, arrows and bindings, but he will also use it to cut rope and various other handy purposes around the farm.
Rope - Typically use to tie up unruly swine or bind captives when needed.
Bullbo pelt - Worn over his clothing, this hooded pelt is tough and protected with bristles on the outside. It also still carries the scent of the Bullbo on it which aids in his bonding with the piglets under his care.

    Pet:
1x herd of 9x swine (1x mother sow, 8x piglets) - each is magically branded with the signature Redthroat mark of ownership by the farm: a red bullbo head with a flowing crimson beard.

Appearance: Life as a farmhand has built Marrog broader and stronger in muscle tone than the average Bulblin - he has grown a little taller than average height (mostly in his legs) so that he could challenge a short Hylian. His green hide is lightened by long hours in the sun to lime, possibly even chartreuse, shades bordering on yellow. His face is oval-shaped with bat-like pointed ears that typically flop down, and glinting golden eyes that dwarf a small nose and thick-lipped mouth.

Personality: Having been weighed down with most of the responsibility of the family business, Marrog’s desire to chase vices is usually reserved for drinking strong brews, chewing on various forms of flora and the occasional bout of short temper with the animals and occasionally with his own lazy, irresponsible family. He looks forward to conflict, warding off Hylian raiding parties whenever he can to give him something to do beyond the drudgery of farm life and also give him somewhere to challenge his bouts of anger. He begrudges his drunken, mischievous mother and misses his stern father, often wandering Monster Village to the furthest reach of the borderlands and the highest peaks he can climb to look out for him, hoping for his return or a chance to go out and find him.

He feels like he has found his chance in Bosso - the strongest Bullbo piglet in Marrog's herd who is growing bigger, stronger and meaner than any other swine the farm has ever seen. Marrog bides his time and waits for Bosso to grow big enough to ride. Then he will go out, search for his father and confirm his fate once and for all. Until then, he remains dutiful to his mother by keeping her out of trouble as best he can and also keeps the farm going in his father's absence.

Background: The Redthroats were a feral bandit clan who named themselves after a signature ritual of their own devising during which they would douse their throats with the blood of their fallen enemies (or sacrificial Bullbos if no enemies were available) thinking it blessed them with a ferocious war cry and command over lesser beasts. Like most of their neighboring clans, they threw their luck in with Ganon's army hoping to profit from the Gerudo warlord's ambitions to dominate Hyrule. They lost a considerable number of clansmen in the ensuing crusades and it was only when they came upon Ikana - the land that could not be tamed - that they decided enough was enough and sought instead to remain there and live peacefully.
