    Mido of the Kokiri

Meet Mido, an arrogant Kokiri boy who seems to take personal offense at anyone who doesn't treat him as their superior. The object of his frustrations is generally Link, who is the only Kokiri who doesn't put on an act for Mido's benefit. Mido is impulsive, and he rarely has the foresight to recognise the consequences of his actions. He's always felt less important than than his older counterparts of the forest, and feels like the best way to maintain the attention of the Great Deku Tree is to grab that attention himself. When disaster strikes the Kokiri Forest, Mido finally realises that maybe he wasn't wrong in thinking that, but there are much better ways of establishing your legacy.

Mido fights mainly with his slingshot, although he later learns how to use a sword.

    Timi of the Kokiri
Meet Timi, one of the oldest members of the Kokiri race and possibly the shortest. Proficient in a multitude of hobbies including piano, violin, flute, acting, performing, glass-making (an innovation in the forest) and his latest hobby play-writing, Timi spends most of his days cramming with distracting hobbies. Not particularly proficient in the social area (or the height area!) Timi spends most of his time alone with his fellow artist Mila. During the disastrous events of The Shadehand Compass Timi finds himself suddenly in command of the entire Kokiri village...

Timi isn't an aggressive person, but if necessary prefers to fight with polearm weapons to make up for his small size and reach.

Who should I pick as my main character cast for my fic? I'm trying to keep it small, because I don't want to accumulate a ton of mains. Can I get you to pick between three and five of the following characters, who you'd like to see star in the fic? One of them must be Link, for obvious reasons  but the others are free-for-all.
Sorry for the poor quality photos. You'd think with such a modern device as a Chromebook that they'd include a half-decent camera, eh?

    LINK
    (Sorta non-negotiable)
Link is a stubborn but intrinsically brave Hylian, gifted in archery and swordplay. Despite this, he tends to take absolutely nothing seriously; if he finds himself in a bad situation he usually handles his panic with the best quip he can come up with at the time. Link tends to overthink EVERYTHING, and since he's always guilt-attacking himself it's easy for others to guilt-trip him into whatever they want.

    ZELDA NOHANSEN HYRULE VI
The princess of Hyrule seeking to reclaim her throne, Zelda is a powerful magician who doesn't take no for an answer. She's even more of an overthinker than Link, and repeatedly finds herself saddled with hard decisions. Retake Kakariko, sacrifice hundreds of men but rescue the civilians? Leave Kakariko for now and let the civilians suffer, but preserve men for the main push against Ganondorf? Zelda hates the fact that every decision she makes will result in trouble for at least one party.

    MORGAN MARETHYU
Originating from Holodrum, Morgan is a fatherly, scholar-type individual whose claim to infamy is his teenage marriage to the humanoid feline Niska. Disowned and disgraced, Morgan found a home in Hyrule under Lady Seres and her great library. When war breaks out, Morgan finds himself called on to protect his wife and young daughter. Seeing that Link is an impulsive idiot who's going to get himself killed lacking in the intelligence department, Morgan buddies up with him.
And yes, that's Molblin's Magic Spear. Or Molblin's Magic Halberd, if you prefer.

    SARIA LUCINA
Bold but sweet, Saria is a tough-as-nails young Kokiri who spends most of her time trying to impress other people. This tendency can make those around her a little hacked off, but she's finally found the medium between what people like and who she really is. Having spent the last seven years training, Saria is a whiz with her two blades, fighting in a dimachaerus-like style. She also carries Link's old sword as a backup- illustrating just how crazy-prepared Saria is for everything.

    NAVIERA (NAVI)
Link's fairy partner, Navi is a caring worrywart quite gifted in healing magic. Although she's practically useless in a combat sense, her speed and size make her an ideal scout. She can zip in, distract and analyse a foe, and zip straight out again before the foe has a chance to grab her. She cares greatly for Link, and hates being separated from him for any reason. She considers herself the greatest failure of a guardian fairy ever- and given the events of the story, she's probably not wrong.

    FI
Calculating and swift, Fi is the voice of reason for many. Although her clinical approach can put people off, some find a kind of humour underneath her cold exterior. Fi lives to bring out the potential in others, and her stating of cold hard facts is often more encouraging than someone's soppy inspirational speech. Of course, the reverse can be true; she can also completely destroy morale by helpfully noting that they're surrounded. Despite this, Fi is loyal to the last and won't hesitate to kick the ever-living hell out of anyone who stands in her way. And given the pointiness of her boots, that's not a kick you want connecting with your face or fluffy bits.

    LARUTO NIDELHA
Outspoken and cunning, Laruto hates inaction. She'll egg the team on to get whatever they need to get done, done. Her swiftness in the water can't be matched, and she's a fair hand in physical combat- especially when she's shocking you with bioelectricity. Laruto's main motivation is liberating the Zora armies from Ganondorf's control, and she often collaborates with one of the leaders of the rebellion- Princess Ruto herself.

    AROO-KANAAKI
Loyal and sweet, the Anouki Aroo isn't much of a fighter, but his skills with healing and cooking leave nothing to be desired. Although he never lies, Aroo isn't above using double meanings, and his reputation as a non-liar often works to his advantage when people immediately take his word for anything. Aroo cares deeply for the people around him, especially Saria, who led him to understand there was more to life than selling Hylians stew.

    ANUKAKHETMA (GOLDFOOT)
A disgraced Darknut warrior, Anukakhetma (commonly called Goldfoot by the Hylians, for her golden boot plates) was flung from a catapult at the Hylian army as punishment for failing to take a ballista shot for her commander. Stripped of her ceremonial helmet, this Darknut was nursed back to health by Lana. Striving to regain her lost honour, as well as repay her debt to Lana and the Hylian Rebellion, Goldfoot has lent her great strength to Link's cause. She travels with him, and is without a doubt the strongest member of the team. She wears thick ceremonial plate armour and wields a sharp khopesh blade and buckled shield, as well as a long-handled two-handed Darknut longsword used when power is more important than defence. Goldfoot, when without her restricting armour, is capable of great feats of athleticism; she is swift, strong and disciplined thanks to years of Darknut training. Unfortunately, Goldfoot's obvious monster visage does not endear her to commoners, and since she refuses to wear any helmet or headgear aside from her lost ceremonial helmet, this can prove problematic. She also has difficulty understanding both the Hylian language and their customs, but mostly accepts the differences between their races.

    KAFEI DOTOUR
Blinded at an early age during a revenge plot against his influential father, Kafei has long believed that his disability makes him completely useless to Hyrule. Convinced by Morgan that his cunning and creativity could be of great benefit to the adventuring team, he reluctantly joins them (to great joy from his honour-oriented father Figaro Dotour). Kafei's skill with repairing injuries (he injures himself alarmingly often, even for a blind man) makes him indispensable to the team, making up for his inhibition.

    KERRIGAN ROAM
A smartalec, unemployed Hylian, Kerrigan lives mainly off the money left by his father- the talent scout who spotted the famous Zora band, the Indigo-Gos. Kerrigan's dreams of honour are invoked by a friend of his, who urges him to join the Hylian army; Kerrigan lazily says that it would take "the goddamn Hero of Hyrule to make me move my ass". As if in karma, less than a week later the grapevine reveals that Link is looking for partners. Caught in his own noose, Kerrigan concedes defeat and applies. Although his fighting skills leave a little to be desired, his main attraction is that he can financially back the team easily thanks to his father's money. Kerrigan loves to be a general ass to the people around him, often making them regret allowing him on the team.
