As water and glass flew to all corners of the room, Rika followed behind, paying no mind to the few shards on glass that lightly brushed against his back. The Torch Slug let out a shriek of pain, a small cloud of light steam forming above it. Rushing towards it, Rika held his scythe up, swinging the curved blade down. Piercing the thin, scaly outer layer, the blade sliced cleanly through the squishy, pudding looking insides of the Torch Slug. The creatures screeched as the blade penetrated it, before quickly stopping as the blade went completely through and came out the other side. As the creature's body collapsed back onto the other half, it vanished in a puff of smoke, overtaking the small cloud of steam which had mostly vanished.

Rika sighed aloud, still a little frustrated at the events that had just happened. However, as the room lit up, Rika would notice a somewhat large, angled cavern opening behind where the Torch Slug was. Carelessly tossing the small bottle of water over his shoulder and back at Boris, Rika bent down to examine the hole just recently discovered. It headed down slightly, and was too small to walk down. Well, at least for the trio, perhaps Wollo could walk- or roll- down it. There was only one solution, to treat it as a slide. Without any hesitation, Rika jumped down, shouting to his allies, "Don't kick me in the back of the head!" Sienna probably would.

Rika slid a short distance downward, although it wasn't really as far down as he expected. He expected it to end in some sort of pitfall, dropping the party to their eminent demise, but no, it was another room. As the party entered, it was rather dark. However, they could tell already that the floor below them was not the earth they had experienced before, but sand. Upon stepping onto the sand, they were met with a trio of massive, pulsating, glowing eyes. Two were to the sides, and one was in the center, although the distance from the two sides was rather large. It let out a large screech, the two eyes to the side seemingly "blinking" as it did. Although it may have not been clear, the beast was none other than a Moldarach.

Turning to Boris, Rika quickly pulled out a small, brown wand, tossing it at the Deku. "Here, you play conductor while we fight." It was none other than the seemingly useless yet cool Sand Wand Rika had. Perhaps it could actually play a role in this fight.

Boris shook his head. He wondered if perhaps Rika needed a quick examination for head trauma; one did not simply jump into tunnel, especially if there could be lava just on the other side. But the Kokiri was reckless, that much he'd known, even before beginning this crazy adventure. Still, even after a few moments had passed, Boris heard no horrible screaming, no cries of death. That was a good sign. He sighed, before heaving himself onto the "slide".

The "ride" was short lived, though difficult. Even though the rock was relatively smooth and slick, his bulbous body seemed more intent on rolling, than on sliding, so it was no surprise that he landed on his side. Though the fall was short, his shoulder ached from the impact. Thankfully, he'd landed in something soft. With a groan, he stood back up to reorient himself, before brushing himself off: it was sand that he'd landed off, he noted, as the grains tumbled to the ground.

It was then that he looked up, to be greeted by three very large, very frightening eyes. He yelped out in alarm, falling backwards, easily losing his footing in the not-so-stable ground. Rika was not one to be intimidated, though, and left him with some rather cryptic instructions before turning his attention back to the beast.

"What...?" Boris squeaked out. "What in Farore's name am I supposed to do with this?!" he yelled to the Kokiri, fumbling to catch the wand. As he fell forward this time, he caught the wand by its handle, wrist flicking as his hand shot forward to catch him at the same time. He caught himself, but not with his hands; a vaguely cube shape had risen from the ground in part, his face lodging itself into the formed sand.

A moment after the trio landed on the sand, Sienna rolled up onto her good leg, using it to support most of her weight. There were the obvious signs of a giant scorpion beneath the sand, but there was something more important Sienna herself needed to deal with first.

At the top of her lungs, she bellowed, "FALCON--" her body was soaring through the air by power of feather, both boots aimed to plow through Rika's head. For better or worse, yelling, "--KIIICK!!" gave him just enough time to dodge.

Before the Kokiri could respond, Sienna was already stampeding past him and towards the eyes. Running on her sore leg was beyond painful, but miraculously, Boris' medicine managed to keep the injury from getting worse.

With a tremendous leap off her better leg, Sienna flung her armorclad body into the air. Glaive into both hands, she soared, before slamming it into the sand towards the isolated eye. Spotting her, the beast rapidly fled underground, sifting the sand with tremors. The polearm burrowed seven feet through the sand...

...and stayed there. Somewhere down below, the blade had obviously lodged itself in something-or other. Before she could pry the weapon free, the sand beneath Sienna shook wildly, and the beast flung its black mandible out from under her feet. A momentary panic overtook the warrior as her footing gave way. Though she leaped skyward, the claws followed and struggled to vice her--succeeding. Her finely-crafted armor began to creak, but didn't give way just yet...

The epic battle started with her losing her best weapon, and getting snared in the Moldarch's grasp. With a heavy sigh, Sienna rested her head on her elbow and stared at Rika--all while a colossal scorpion threatened to crush her midsection.

Either he was going to have to "save" her, or she was going to need to pry this beast's vice apart. Today, she didn't really feel like doing the latter, considering her arms were still sore from bench-pressing Gorons the other day.

Rika's eyes widened in surprise as Sienna's body leaped high into the air, her voice ringing throughout the room. His body moved instantly, diving to the sand as Sienna's body slugged past, her foot flying through where his face was moments ago. What was she doing?! Rika pushed himself up, brushing the sand off his clothes as he glared at the direction Sienna had stomped. He was pretty upset now. Noises of sand exploding out of the ground was heard as the massive, glowing eyes swung from left to right.

Rika could see the faint image of Sienna staring intently at him from the glow of the eye, hovering slightly in front of the eye and in the air. Rika glared back at her, before shaking his head. She had already messed up and gotten caught? Did she want him to help, after almost kicking him in the face? Rika wasn't sure if she deserved any assistance, she'd be perfectly fine on her own, wouldn't she? Probably, but out of the pure kindness in his heart, Rika would help her.

Forming a small, glassy orb of water in his palm, Rika chucked it at the scorpion- and at Sienna. While Rika could hardly see a thing, the silhouette of Sienna was still visible, despite the enemy itself being rather unknown. The Aqua Grenade flew towards Sienna, splashing against her thick armor as the water spread up and down. However, it didn't seem to explode like the spell normally would. Instead, the small orb of water splashed and ran down her chest area, dripping to the ground below. Rika wondered what her face was like as she saw the orb flying towards her. Was she scared, terrified that it was about to explode in her face? Rika laughed to himself.

. . . He should probably help her, but he didn't really have any idea what they were up against. With nothing better to do, Rika held his palm forward, a large, glowing circle appearing under the glowing eye opposing Sienna and illuminating the sandy ground, confirming that it was in fact sand in that direction. A massive, sandy spire launched up shortly after, stabbing into the creature's claw. Although the eye itself was undamaged, it still felt pressure from the force of impact, causing it to screech angrily. It begun charging through the sand, tossing the crystalline dust up to its sides as it charged. Rika saw the eyes rushing towards him and leaped to the side, falling to the ground due to the different traction granted by the sand. The creature charged past him as he fell, tossing a large amount of sand onto his body and burying him lightly.

Luckily for Sienna, this distraction and frustration would probably be enough for her to break free, if she so chose.

Boris pushed backwards from the lump of sand that had appeared in front of him, shaking the daze from his head. What had happened? First he was falling, catching the object Rika had tossed to him, and next he was face first in sand. That should have been impossible, though, as the sand would have had to magically risen up from the ground. Groping around in the relative darkness, the glowing eyes having moved away for a moment due to its struggles with Sienna, Boris felt for the pouch at his side. He grabbed a fistful of ember seeds, using the same trick as earlier. Casting them behind him, the tiny red orbs shattered, revealing the room, at least momentarily. That gave him a moment to see the wand in his hand. Perhaps this had caused the sand to move?

He did not want to waste the light he'd just created, though. Fishing around in a second pouch, he grabbed two small flasks, miniature deku baba plants suspended inside of them. He threw both forward, each flask landing fairly close to the monster. The glass of the flasks shattered, and the deku baba latched onto the ground and grew, aging hastily. Their snapping, green maws flailed about, unsure of their knew environment; Boris did not expect them to last long, considering their roots could barely remain seated with the sand. Still, the Molderach seemed taken aback by their sudden appearance, and their violent, thrashing mouths. That would take some pressure off of Rika for the moment, and maybe give Sienna the opportunity to escape.

If Rika could have seen the face beneath Sienna's mask, he might be disappointed to see a mildly-annoyed expression. She was just irritated at the fact she was probably going to get wet--which is exactly what happened. This it the thanks she gets after attempting to oblige his sudden request to be kicked in the head. Kokiri are truly mischievous, ungrateful creatures.

The beast seemed to flinch in pain or surprise from some unseen effect, giving Sienna an opportunity to force the vice open by forcing one side with her one good leg and the other with the flat of her back. Normally, she suspected that amount of muscle wouldn't have done the job. At least her sore pectorals would be spared from doing any actual work. Her eyes scanned to see the creature had moved and, bizarrely, the familiar sight of babas sprouted up from the sand. Her glaive was dozens of feet away, embedded in the sand still. She didn't want to use the sword, but against a foe this strong, the weapon might actually be worth it.

After Sienna fell to the ground, landing on her better leg, the wakizashi whipped from its scabbard with a metallic hiss. The Moldarach seemed to be snapping a deku baba between its pincers, not even paying heed to the fact its former victim had escaped. Apparently the beast didn't even realize how lucky it was to have caught her in the first place.

With a sudden leap forward, Sienna's body seemed to almost ricochet off the ground as she launched from the sand towards the beast, taking the hilt in both hands. A ferocious rising strike seemed to split the very air as it raked across the creature's eye, sending Sienna herself into a spinning frenzy as she hit the sands with a roll, quickly spinning up onto her feet. Behind her, the beast was shrieking in pain, abruptly burrowing to safety beneath the sands, leaving the trio and one surviving baba behind.

Rika groaned as he pushed himself up, sand falling off his back and reforming with the sandy floor. This would be so messy, sand would be all in his clothes. Taking his hat off to shake the hair off of it and out of his hair, Rika got a good look at what they were fighting, thanks to Boris illuminating the room. It was the massive Aracha known as a Moldarach, with its massive, spiked ball-like stinger and large, glowing eyeballs protected by thick pincers. Well, although it was an arachnid, at least it wasn't a spider, that would be pretty bad.

As Sienna sliced across its fragile eye, the creature screeched in pain as it quickly burrowed beneath the sands. Exactly how deep was this sand pit? Fairly deep if it was able to comfortably hold the Moldarach, Rika presumed, but exactly how much additional space would there be? Coming to his feet and gripping his scythe with both hands, Rika shouted back to Boris. "Quick, get it out of the sand!" When it emerged, Rika's plan was simple; He would, in one swift slice, strike at the other eye. Using the scythe's blade like a hook, he would tear through - or rip out, if it came to that- the squishy eye ball, in one fluid motion. That was assuming it actually came out, of course. Although he couldn't tear through it, he should be able to strike it due to the scythe's thin, curved blade even if the scorpion-like beast shut its claws to defend the eyeball.

As this went on, however, the party would very noticeably see and hear the walls and ceiling shaking and the sound of rocks falling far away. However, the sand seemed to cushion the vibrations, so the floor itself didn't seem to move. What was happening around them, though?

    --

Wollo stared up at the hole Rika had gone in. Where were they, did they get trapped? The sounds of battle had stopped already, yet Wollo didn't see them come back down. As he waited, he got more and more anxious as he realized he was all alone. If something fearsome like a Big Chu or a Keese showed up, he'd be cooked octo for sure. As he contemplated the thought of being eaten by a Keese, the entire room started shaking, causing Wollo to panic in fear. What was going on?!

The terrified Octorok rushed out of the exit the four of them had entered from, running through the dark among the tunnels without a care in the world about what turn was where, slamming into the wall at every left and right. Rika would be fine without him, though hopefully he wouldn't worry about where he went. Hopefully he wouldn't get eaten by something outside, either. . .

The remaining Deku Baba floundered about, trying its hardest to inch its way towards the Kokiri, but to no avail. Instead, it fell to the side, wriggling, unable to support its body in the soft sand. It bounced in rhythm to the tremors that shook the room, still pitifully unable to right itself. Boris might have pitied the poor creature, if it weren't a Deku Baba, and the room wasn't shaking. "What... What's going on? Boris asked to Rika and Sienna, unsure of what to make of the current situation. The Molderach had disappeared from sight; was it trying to bring the room down upon them?

(No worries, I'll just let this thread rot for almost a year.)

Sienna's glare darted across every inch of the sand, looking for movement--but her path seemed clear. Her body stomped across the sand with heavy impacts, sheathing her blade mid-stride. She might've been able to reach her glaive faster, had she not sunken into the sand with every step.

The Moldarach had yet to make its move. "Fool," Sienna mumbled with a grin. Her hand securely latched around what little of her glaive emerged from the sand. In her mind, the stupid beast didn't realize what a huge mistake it had just made. Letting the unstoppable bloodthirsty slaughterer just HAVE her primary weapon back? Really.

With a hard grunt, Sienna's sore triceps and thighs hammered into the sand with tremendous force--hurling her glaive upward with enough power to lift a mountain. Her glaive slid swiftly out of the sand, flinging a wave of sand--and lava--through the air. Wait what. She wasn't even sure how it happened, but she was suddenly reminiscent of the time she stabbed a hole in the bottom of her father's boat.

Sienna jumped back, eyes wide as a fountain of magma shot out of the sand, flooding the arena. The floor began to crumble, quake, sand stirring everywhere. The Moldarach was nowhere to be seen. The room was crumbling around them, giving way. Before anyone seemed to fully realize what was going on, the entire scene was crumbling down into a stony chute--sand, lava, rubble, three Deku-things, and a stupid kid all abruptly began falling into a chasm...

...Sienna spat with annoyance. They were in a volcano, and going downwards. What's at the bottom of a volcano? Death. Horrific, molten death where her skin would burn while she drowned. Lovely. And she probably wouldn't even be able to see that stupid spider-thing die its own horrific death before she herself did. How obnoxious.

Well, this was an unfortunate situation. Rika's eyes widened in surprise as magma shot out of the ground like a weak geyser, splashing across the arena. Shortly after, the sand began to sink, and Rika found himself lacking any sort of footing as he began falling in open air. The sand floor had sunk into a chasm below, and they were now falling. They weren't very high up on the volcano as is, so more than likely they would reach the bottom pretty quickly. Why were they going down, anyway? The entire purpose was to go up, going down like this just puts them further from their goal. Rika pouted slightly at the thought of sinking further and further away from the cause of this, clearly not as concerned as he should be about the danger he was currently in.

Glancing downward, the warming, burning, devouring glow of magma could be seen. Well, it was far more than just that. An expansive river of magma rest below the trio's feet, wide enough to hold more than one Moldarach. It was hard to tell how far it went in either direction from where they were falling now, but it didn't seem short at the very least. There were earth platforms of varying shapes and sizes among the river that would provide a reprieve from the magma, though they were somewhat sparce. The Moldarach, some distance below the trio, fell into the magma, its screams of pain echoing throughout the cavern before quickly fading as the magma splashed, consuming it completely.

If Rika didn't do something soon, that'd be him in a second. At least Wollo wasn't here, so he didn't have to worry about that. Speaking of, where did Wollo go?

    --

As the Octorok rushed through the tight tunnels to escape the supposedly collapsing cavern, he soon broke through to the outside exit. His body was dirtied and scratched from running into the walls on his way out, but it wasn't something that had stopped him. He expected to be greeted with signs of hunger, but instead no one paid him any mind. Instead, the heads of the nearby people were turned to the sky, looks of shock or horror on their faces. Looking up as much as he could for an Octorok, Wollo saw what they were looking at. The flames erupting to the sky had become even more severe, and Valoo's horrid cries echoed throughout the sky. Wollo's body shook with fear just at Valoo's cry. That was most definitely something that could eat Wollo in one bite. The smoke had spread even further, stretching wider than the island's size. Things were looking bad for Valoo, that was for sure. Though Wollo wasn't smart enough to realize it, the cause of the shaking mountain was due to one of Valoo's pain ridden tantrum. Hopefully Rika would be fine, and the people around Wollo would be too distracted by this to grab a squishy snack.

Boris was unable to register what was happening until it was too late, already plummeting to a fiery doom. A high pitched squeal was struggling to birth itself, amidst the rumbling of the sand and stone; it was a rather annoying sound, much like the wail of a babe. It was grating, and certainly not the sort of noise one aspired to be burnt to a crisp to. Boris was unaware of any tune that went particularly well with that, but whatever it was, it certainly wasn't this horrid, horrid screeching. Oh. It's me. Great. That solved one mystery, though not the problem; his body seemed more intent on feeling abject terror, than doing anything actually useful. Of course, he supposed that was normal, considering how it was blasted with the great heat from below, a harbinger to his death. He looked to his side, watching as Rika fell alongside him. He seemed oddly calm. To his right, Sienna seemed to be annoyed, but that was the extent of it. What is wrong with these people. Perhaps he wasn't cut out for adventure, but it seemed hard to imagine that anyone could be so nonplussed by their current plight.

Oh. Right. As usual, he'd forgotten. Thankfully, being on your way to death had a funny way of giving you seemingly more time to think. So, he remembered that he actually had a choice as to whether or not he died. Well, hopefully. He pulled out his Deku Leaf, thankfully without much fumbling, using it as a parachute, the heat waves billowing out the leaf and slowing his descent. I wonder if they'll be okay.

Sienna glanced at the the other Deku Scrub abruptly disappear upwards--his descent halted by a parachute or something, probably a Deku Leaf. That obnoxious Kokiri probably had some spell he was about to save himself with, too. She knew she was far too heavy for any of that, considering her Muscle Band combined with her insanely heavy armor. Still, even she knew she couldn't survive being dunked in magma. That's when she finally remembered the weird mechanism they found earlier--and that she was, thankfully, still wearing it.

Her hand abruptly aimed along one of the walls, hoping this stupid little gauntlet could find something to grab onto. As she struggled to aim through the debris, she abruptly remembered why she hated ranged weapons so much... There! The Fist of Pacci launched off her hand, racing towards what seemed like a graspable ledge. Of course, a gigantic boulder dropped out of nowhere, blocking her mechanical hand at the last second. Her eyes widened in shock as the mechanism abruptly flung her through the air in a wide arc--launching the bolder down and herself upwards.

Before she realized it, Sienna crashed into a nearby wall, barely managing to land with both boots on a small ledge. It was a wonder she was even able to hold onto her glaive all this time. Catching her breath, Sienna slipped the mask off over her face--it was getting too hot in here for that, and she needed to see where she was friggin' aiming... Aiming, she groaned in annoyance at the term. Next thing she was going to be shooting arrows or something...

It was rather unfortunate for Rika that he did not possess any sort of magic to help him with his current situation. His brow furrowed as his face looked more and more displeased with the situation. "Well, I should probably do something before I fall in the lava." Rika thought to himself as he pulled out the mechanism he had obtained shortly before. Quickly sliding the small, metal gauntlet onto his hand, he pointed it up above, toward one of the boulders falling alongside the three of them. Sending a quick surge of magical energy into the gauntlet, the small device embedded within the back of the gauntlet shot forward, latching onto the falling debris. Upon contact, both Rika and the debris stopped their descent. "Alright, now how exactly does this work. . . " Rika mused to himself as his body began to move upward, the boulder moving downward perpendicular to him. As he essentially swapped places with the boulder, the connection broke, causing both of them to begin falling once more. As expected, the device was once again in the gauntlet after the connection had ended.

Launching at a boulder once more, Rika spun himself once again, this time landing onto a nearby platform. Once landed, the Kokiri took the time to examine the area they had fallen to in closer detail. The three of them had been separated and placed onto different platforms, but they were all still within sight of each other; it seemed like everyone managed to survive the fall. The rest of the river appeared similarly to where they had fallen to; the walls were wide apart and the ceiling rest high above their heads, though not as highly as where they currently were. Sparce platforms decorated the walls and flowing lava, though they were too infrequent to jump to. Small, red, bulbous creatures seemed to float and drift along the lava, their two small, square eyes poking out of the stream to watch for any possible prey. There seemed to be a couple strange, tower-like objects sitting on some of the platforms; however, they were too far away for Rika to tell exactly what they were right now. There appeared to be some sort of motions or movement from them, but they remained in place at the same time. The river itself was flowing downward at an angle, though it was unclear where an end in either direction would be. They had completely lost their sense of awareness from the fall, so it was difficult to determine which direction led deeper into the mountain.

Rika frowned, his eyes narrowing as he glared down the tall hallway of river. What exactly was he doing here in the first place? Not in this particular room, or the caverns themselves; he knew the answer to that already. What he did not understand anymore, was where he was headed. The source of the mountain's issues can most likely be attributed to Valoo, that much he knew. However, beyond that, he had no clue where to find such a disruption, or what it could even be. At first, he had the idea to simply head toward Valoo. After all, surely the disruption would be close to him. Clearly that idea was not working out, however, as he was sinking further and further away from where Valoo would be. At this rate, he would never reach Valoo before the heat protection magic wore off and he burned to a crisp. They likely wouldn't get anywhere just wandering around.

He would just have to calm down and think. Taking a deep breath, Rika shut his eyes. Within a couple seconds, he traced a mental map of where they had been so far, and filled the map in with the rest of the river and possible pathways it led to. The river seemed to flow into some sort of large reservoir, and though he couldn't tell exactly what was down there, it didn't seem to have any doors or pathways they could take. The river went upward for some distance, beyond what he could picture in his mind; however, he could feel the presence of cavern openings they could take. He had little idea where they would take them, but it was better than nothing. With his surroundings figured out, Rika's eyes opened back up, only to see a glowing orb of fire flying straight toward his face. "Aah, shit!" Rika shouted, falling onto his ass as the searing orb flew over his head and dissipated after colliding with the wall behind him. He could feel the heat singe against his hair and against the back of his neck as it did. That was a little too close for comfort. Looking down at what attacked him, it was a Magma Spume; it had been drifting lazily in the lava, but upon seeing him distracted or otherwise preoccupied, took the chance to try to roast him. There would probably be a bunch of Spumes trying to attack as they climbed. Calling out to Boris and Sienna, Rika shouted, "I think we should head up the river! There are some caverns that way!" After doing so, Rika prepared his gauntlet to jump to the next platform.

The gauntlets they had received appeared to be useful, if Rika and Sienna's use of it was any indication. It seemed capable of swapping places with the two objects to which it attached itself; definitely something to keep note of. But he was none too comfortable with using something with which he had experience. Boris didn't feel it was wise to use an object, that he had just gotten, when it came to something with very real consequences, chiefly a fiery and horrible death. There would be time enough to experiment. He rooted around in a small pouch at his side, before removing a small green bean. He planted it in the hard packed ground beneath his feet, fitting it in a crevice of the stone. He gave it a splash of water from his canteen, before backing up to the ledge behind him.

    3. He took a deep breath. 2. Boris firmly grasped his Deku Leaf with both hands. 1. He lunged forward, holding the leaf upwards; a giant leaf sprung up from below him, throwing him into the air, before it quickly wilted to the heat. The lift provided to him was enough for him to partially escape the tumultuous air currents caused by the hot lava below, which might have blown him every which way. He drifted slowly, moving towards the next platform. But no plan survives contact with the enemy.

Several Magma Spumes saw the slow moving target, and saw their chance. Their bug eyes focused on the Korok, taking careful aim, before their lifted their faces up to blast several fireballs in his direction. Oh hell. Without time to react, Boris did what came reflexively to him; he dismissed the Deku Leaf's copter form, returning it to leaf form, before swinging it down at the approaching fireballs, sending them scattering with the resulting blast of wind. Unfortunately, he was now falling, and establishing the concentration to manifest the Korok Copter was difficult especially when one was hurdling towards molten stone.

He had no choice but to use the Fist. Sleeving it over his free hand, his speed and concentration enhanced by his dire straits, Boris fired off the hand towards the nearest ledge. His breath stolen as he catapulted forward, Boris could only see stars, his empty lungs and the immense heat below affecting his vision. He sucked in air as he clamored atop the stone pillar. It was going to be a long journey, making up the river.

Sienna hissed in mild annoyance. Flipping around was not her forté. The only placed her boots belonged was on the ground, or stomping the skulls of her enemies. Nonetheless, she kept the fist in one hand, and her glaive in the other. She somewhat awkwardly tumbled down the chute through which they fell, before falling along a small platform on the bank of what appeared to be a river of magma. It seemed to run in two directions--but for some reason she didn't care to hear, that Kokiri brat suggested they head up its length. Why was she traveling with these fools again?

Before she could further contemplate such deep and profound questions, a Magma Spume popped its hideous head out of the molten rock. She glanced towards it angrily. No, wait, it seemed there were three of those obnoxious things... One was spitting at that Kokiri, another at the Korok, and of course the third at her. The foolish creatures didn't even realize who was the biggest threat, here. Wasn't there an Octorok following them at one point?

She rather easily side-stepped the ball of fire that lobbed towards her. The closest one was just beyond the reach of her glaive, and she knew from experience they sank into the magma like obnoxious cowards if you got too close. Of course, she thought, suddenly smirking, I hadn't yet used that ability...

She dropped her glaive, raised her mask to reveal a grotesque face, and abruptly pulled on her snout forcefully from both sides. Her body began to go limp as she vomited forth a grotesque creature with swords for limbs. This nightmare version of Sienna braced against its host's body, before dramatically leaping off the full distance all the way towards the first Spume--landing blade-first into its face, summoning forth a grotesque howl of pain as blood spewed into the lava.

From there, the nightmare spider skittered frantically, inarticulate screams pouring from its gullet as its limbs sunk helplessly into the semi-solid magma. Only as it reached the second spume did its s body crash into it, blade-first, tearing it downward as both the monster and the spume sank into the magma with horrid screams of pain...

Several seconds later, Sienna arose, re-adjusting her mask and plucking up her glaive. "Hm," there was the slightest of smiles in her cold voice, "That was fun." It wouldn't be as enjoyable as torturing the creatures herself, but feeling her blades sink into their flesh as they squealed out so pathetically... well... it was a good appetizer.

The third Spume was either distracted with the others, or mortified at what just transpired. In any case, Sienna expected her nightmarish creature couldn't reach it. So, instead, she heaved out a sigh... and began to awkwardly leap, spin, and Fist of Pacci everything she could to make it from one platform to the other. It seemed to be what the others were doing as well, as they began to travel further up the river. "What am I," she grumbled to no one in particular, "Some damn acrobat..."

As Rika launched himself to the next platform, the Spume's ball of fire lazily drifted behind, though its speed was unable to match that of the gauntlet's. Glaring down at it, Rika shouted at the creature, "You call that a fireball? What a joke! Here's a fireball!" As he did so, the Kokiri gave a quick swing of his wrist and snap of his fingers, his own ball of fire zooming in a straight line towards the Plume. Unable to dodge or do anything except drift lazily, the Fire spell collided directly with the Magma Plume, though it did little more than dunk it underneath the magma for a few moments. Sticking his tongue out at the Magma Plume as Fire collided, Rika then proceeded to fire his gauntlet and continue climbing.

    . . .

    . . .

After gaining a bit of distance, Rika began to close the distance between the far-off structures he had seen. They appeared to be nothing other than ordinary Beamos to Rika, the large sensory eyes on top slowly rotating in a circle. It was obvious what would happen if he got in range, but there seemed to be no other alternative; the available platforms had started to thin, and only those in range of the Beamos' sensors were available. Quickly, Rika launched himself to a nearby wall with the gauntlet, and with his other hand, lobbed an Aqua Grenade at the Beamos. With a boom and a splash, the Beamos' head started to rotate wildly, signaling that the explosion had been effective. However, it was still too early to let one's guard down. As Rika landed and the Beamos began to lose control, it started firing out it's laser wildly, with no regard for target. "Ah, shit!" Rika shouted as he dove to the ground to avoid it, but he was too slow, as the Beamos' laser drug itself across his shoulder. The beam tore through Rika's clothes and lit the clothing next to the impact alight as it seared his skin, causing the Kokiri to scream out in shock. He began to roll and smack his shoulder frantically, struggling to put out the flames before they caused any severe damage or spread. As he did this, the Beamos' laser phased away, its own moment of panic dying down as the machine seemed to break down.

Finally, the flames subsided as the Kokiri was no longer ablaze. Glancing up, as he noticed the tower had subsided, Rika brought himself to his feet, wincing as he put pressure on his burned arm. Luckily he likely hadn't suffered any severe burns due to the fire protection magic that had been placed on him, but it was still in pain. Clenching his hand open and shut a few times, his arm and muscles appeared to be working fine, but any movement involving the shoulder would likely not be pleasant. At least, luckily for him, it was just a Beamos though.

Boris was the last to make it, his clumsy attempts at using the Fist making him look like some wobbly bird, trying desperately to gain altitude. He thought he was going to be sick, and just as the thought crossed his mind, a few Deku Nuts dribbled out of his face. The unsettling sight of Sienna tearing her face wide open hadn't helped: he'd have nightmares of THAT for weeks to come. Where had she come across such a strange, twisted power anyways? Boris tried hard not to think about it, as he hurdled towards his destination, leaking Deku Nuts on his way. One benefit of being comparatively slower than the others, though, was that enemies were concentrating more on those two than he. Only a single Beamos beam went his way, and he was already gone, as it cut through the air.

With a pant, he hoisted himself up into the area above, where both Sienna and Rika had made it. "Sorry..." He panted out, though he began moving towards Rika. "Your shoulder, it's burned!" He said breathily, immediately breaking into his medical supplies again. These two were pretty reckless, Boris had begun to gather. He pulled out a small container containing a healing salve for such an occasion. Smearing the green paste on a bandage, he moved to dress Rika's wound if the Kokiri would allow. Goddesses knew Sienna had given him a hard enough time before, though Rika was a lot nicer than her.

Sienna was awkwardly hopping and stomping across sinking platforms--and would be gritting her teeth if she had any. She was sharp enough to notice the rotating tower of laser-death ahead, and was carefully timing her jumps--aiming to ambush it as soon as that eye was--goddamnit what is that Kokiri doing. Why would he throw a stupid ball of water at--oh that explosion was cool--oh goddamnit why couldn't he at least finish the job. Sienna was forced to dive onto a small platform with a mechanical eye blasting lasers in every possible direction. She dodged and blocked as best she could, but nonetheless the beams sizzled deep cuts--across her several-inch-thick metal armor. Finally, the tower died down.

"Fuck," she grumbled in annoyance. Standing, she inspected the new burns across her mail. For a Beamos, those beams seemed oddly powerful. The frantic nature of its death might be the reason why... but Sienna was more annoyed with the weakened state of her armor. A solid hit would cause her spaulders or chestplate cleave in two, leaving her more fragile underarmor exposed. It was an annoyance, but she could repair it later with the proper equipment and time. Still, that damn Kokiri brat seemed more and more like a nuisance, not an asset. She barked, "It's a minor burn. He'll be fine..." Surely that Deku Scrub was smart enough to realize flesh wasn't as sensitive to heat as wood is. Surely he was not that stupid.

Sienna just grumbled and turned away from the two as one nursed the other's wounds. Fucking pussies. She was more interested in what laid ahead. After making a dozen paces down the corridor, Sienna was standing within arm's reach of a gargantuan pair of doors carved as if from crimson stone, framed in a gold-colored metal. Rusty copper chains barred tightly over its face, sealed in place with an oddly large padlock in the shape of a hexagon. If there was a key to fit this giant lock on this huge door, it would have been as long as that Kokiri's arm. They certainly hadn't found anything like that, and neither of those fools seemed crafty enough to hide it.

Still, Sienna had no intention of waiting up. The salve wouldn't take that long to apply, and like hell she was going back across that river of lava. There was only one way forward.

Sienna took a step back, and carefully set down the glaive behind her. Taking on a fighting stance, Sienna's knees bent back to move her hips away from the door. One fist clenched ferociously tight behind her hips, and began to glow with a power so malicious and dark it became visible--a swirling aura of black and dark violet. A grumble became a growl, a growl became a groan, and a groan became a ferocious roar--as Sienna's steel-wrapped, muscle-band-boosted, ferocious knuckles launched forward with a tremendous explosion of darkness and power that could only arise from the sheer might of a Warlock Punch. Her tremendous punch smashed clean through the lock, breaking chains and busting doors wide open with a tumultuous sound of clanging metal and stone.

Breathing hard, Sienna plucked up her weapon, and glared back at the others. She offered a hand as if to guide the fools forward, although only so she could say, "Ladies first."

As Boris rushed over to apply his salve, Rika shook his head. "It's fine, it's just a small burn. Not the first time I've been burned here." He paused, before saying, "Though it did seem stronger than before. . ." Regardless, he didn't push Boris away and allowed him to apply the bandage. As Boris finished applying the bandage, Rika stood up. "I don't really wanna wait, so that's good enough!" He called out as he impatiently ran off after Sienna. If he waited too long, she would take up all of the fun before he arrived. As the Kokiri followed a few paces behind Sienna's steps, he arrived just in time to see her incredible display of strength. Rika was somewhat shocked she could even do that, he thought she was the type to just hit things really hard with a weapon until they died. Though, due to that attack, whatever was beyond the chained, imposing door was most certainly aware of their presence now. As Sienna heaved heavily and invited the others to proceed first, Rika happily took her up on that offer. "Ohh, that was impressive. . . You seem to be a little worn by it though, it'd be a shame to die after one attack." Rika spoke facetiously, grinning somewhat condescendingly as he strolled past and into the pathway.

The path continued for a few steps before reaching their final destination, the site of the last battle. A colossal, open cavern rest in front of them; the earth itself was mostly flat, but the room was incredibly wide, capable of fitting a countless number of Boris within with room to spare. Strange, open flames rest floating on the walls, dimly illuminating the perimeter of the room and a significant area around the center. The ceiling rose seemingly dozens of feet into the air, and at the very least rose too far out of the range of light to view with normal vision. Scattered throughout the room appeared to be rocks and boulders, some the size of Rika and others over twenty feet tall. Standing in the center of the room, exerting a very dim, but noticeable light was- unbeknownst to the trio- their target. A colossal, human-like figure was hunched over on his knuckles, his incredulous biceps supporting his weight. It seemed something akin to a gorilla, though instead of hair its skin appeared to be rough and ashy, like it was one to swim in the volcano. The most notable feature with the poor lighting were its eyes; they were a sharp, burning red, not so different from the magma they had looked at previously. Its eyes seemed to radiate heat just staring into them, like they were rays of magma searing into your being and melting you from the inside out.

"Why is a primate he-" Rika questioned aloud, but was quickly and very swiftly interrupted by the ape, who had been staring the entrance since hearing the thundering boom of Sienna's fist impacted the cold chained door. It let loose a loud, threatening, ear piercing howl, echoing across the cavern to establish itself as a threat, just before preparing to aggressively thrust itself at the trio.

Bepu winced at Sienna's jab. She was right, though: he hadn't exactly been the most useful, in reaching this central room. He couldn't spend too much time pondering it, though, as they came upon what was kept behind those doors, and that heavy, heavy lock. There was definitely a reason this thing had been kept behind a locked door, of that Boris was sure they would become poignantly aware soon enough. "Oh no." was all he managed to squeak out as it roared, his hands reflexively going to his earholes to cover them. Ever since entering this place, his life had become rather surreal.

The thought soon fled his mind, as the ape was clearly not monkeying around. A boulder was already being sent their way, and it was all he could do to dive out of the way, skidding against the hard ground. He scrambled back to his feet, grabbing at his Deku Leaf, before running off at a sprint. At least his long, gangly legs were decent for that much. The giant, fiery ape was preparing to throw out another boulder, but this time Boris was ready. He wasn't good for much most of the time, but dammit if he was going to let Sienna have the last word. He raised up his Fist of Pacci and let its attachment fly, the gauntlet colliding against the boulder that had just left the enemy's grasp. In a dizzying switch, the two were revolved about an axis, and soon he found himself above, and in front of, the giant monkey. With a swing of his leaf, he sent a strong gale of winds down at the ape, and though he doubted it would do any serious harm, hopefully it would keep it still long enough for Rika and Sienna to do something.

Mission accomplished, his Deku Leaf split into two separate leaves, and Boris was soon gaining altitude, the new propeller spinning quickly.
