Extended HC History

Just for clarification, here's the current state of the playable races.

1. Anouki, Hinox, and Tiny Fairies are slated to become independent and playable races. Anouki and Fairies are by popular demand. Hinox are being added to have at least one playable "Dark Worlder" race, and due to their recent prominence in both A Link Between Worlds and Tri-Force Heroes.

2. River Zora and Sea Zora are gaining separate race pages and race perks. (No other dimorphic races are, however. Rito and Fokka are similar enough.)

3. Zuna are not becoming a race not only due to their scarcity in canon, but how interpretations of them have been wildly different. Like Parella, they will still be considered sentient creatures in the world of Hyrule, just not a playable race. This will likely change if they appear again in the Zelda series.

4. Due to what seems to be majority opinion against inclusion of Vires, they will not be made playable at this time. This will likely change if they appear more prominently in the Zelda series.

5. Amphibious is now an innate racial perk for both Zoras, but so is "Zora Weakness," which imposes a weakness to fire for Sea Zoras, and a weakness to electricity to River Zoras.

6. Winged Flight (and Hookshot) now only cost 1 perk slot for Rito. It still costs 2 slots for Aeralfos, however, and they do not receive the usual 15 rupee discount for this racial perk.

7. Unusual Characters will be rewritten as Unusual Companions, and be designed more clearly for animal and animal-like companions. Each UC will cost 50 rupees.

I'm still working on library edits regarding the lore, the discussions this thread has caused, new treasures, and ease of navigation. Needless to say, almost every race page and most place pages will need to be altered or expanded. The Guide will need to be edited accordingly, as well.
