    Equipment:
Weapons: Edric's primary weapon is a sword passed down from his grandfather, Æthelwulf I of Northrock. The sword, dubbed Storm, is a long sword of a form commonly referred to as a bastard sword, designed for use with one hand or two. The weapon is some 121 centimeters in length, with a hilt approximately 20 centimeters in length, with the length from the hilt to the tip of the blade representng the remaining 101. The weapon weighs approximately 1.3 kilograms overall.

The blade of this weapon is of a straight-edged, very gently tapered design. Overall, the blade is designed for cutting blows, where the point is tapered to a sharper point, allowing greater utility as a thrusting weapon. Contributing to its cutting and piercing power is the craft and quality of the steel from which it is forged. Storm's blade is crafted from fine Goron steel, worked by experienced Goron smiths in the forges of Death Mountain. Its blade, therefore, possesses exceptional strength and a deadly sharp edge, worthy of Goron craft. The steel itself takes on an appearance much like that of Wootz steel or Damascus steel, with a sort of swirling pattern formed by bands of cementite within the steel matrix as a result of Goron forging methods and of the composition of the metal ore used. The flat of the blade incorporates a sort of triple fuller, with one large fuller running up the center of the blade, flanked by a smaller fuller on either side. The narrow, shallower fullers on either side end approximately halfway along the length of the blade, while the middle fuller continues until it ends about three quarters of the way to the tip of the blade. The tip of the blade is of a distal type, where the thickness of the blade becomes thinner the last several centimeters to the point, to make for a superior thrusting weapon.

Storm's hilt is of a cruciform style, crafted of somewhat darker steel than the blade. The grip is gently tapered, with an inverted waist form to allow a more comfortable grip with one or both hands. The grip is wrapped in a sleeve of brown leather, and capped at the bottom with a large, faceted plum-style pommel. At the center of the guard are triangular ecussons along the base of the blade, intended to help lock the weapon properly into its scabbard. The guard itself is a straight piece of steel, with each side gently tapering off before ending with small, bulb-shaped finial tips.

Storm is carried in a durable scabbard crafted from two pieces of oak measured and carved to appropriately house the shape of the sword's blade. The pieces of oak are further held together by leather binding, and the whole structure is encased in a fitted sheath of leather, fitting around the outer and inner surfaces of the scabbard, stitched in place, and bound to the wood by a silver cap at the point of the scabbard and another around the opening.

In addition to his finely crafted longsword, Edric carries a small, lightweight dagger on his belt beside Storm's scabbard. His dagger is crafted with a comparatively long, tapered blade. Unlike many daggers intended more specifically for quick, thrusting strikes and little else, this dagger is more akin to a parrying dagger, or main-gauche of a form with a disproportionately large cruciform guard affording it greater utility as an off-hand weapon. As the label suggests, a parrying dagger would be most useful, in such a role as an off-hand weapon, in being a quick, maneuverable tool for warding off enemy blows while the user can wield his primary weapon in his dominant hand. Though designed as a parrying dagger, Edric's main-gauche serves just as well as a sort of ad hoc utility implement, with which he can carve meat in the wild, or perform other minor tasks.

Edric's final weapon, and one least often used, is an ashen longbow which Edric usually keeps unstrung, to avoid straining the weapon needlessly. This bow is most often used only as a hunting implement, as Edric prefers to place his trust in Storm's edge in battle. If necessary, however, he will make use of this weapon.

Armor: Edric does not wear any particularly heavy armor. First, Edric wears a haubergeon of iron chainmail. His mail coat extends down to halt about halfway down his thigh. The bottom of his haubergeon is split so as to avoid interfering with his comfortably sitting on a horse or other mount. The chainmail sleeves extend only over his upper arms. The coat ends before reaching his elbows.

Over his mail haubergeon, Edric wears a coat-of-plates constructed as a two-layered leather surcoat, with an array of rectangular, steel plates set between the layers of leather to form a heavier layer of armor than simple chain mail. His coat-of-plates is not joined at his flanks. Instead, the coat is made as a rectangular piece with a hole in the center for the wearer's head to fit through. The coat is then draped over the wearer's front and back, and is secured at either side by two leather ties situated roughly at stomach level. The bottom edge of the coat extends nearly as far as Edric's haubergeon.

Finally, Edric often wears a set of chainmail vambraces constructed as pieces of iron mail set atop a piece of heavy cloth cut to a matching shape. A long, narrow piece of leather is stitched along the edge of this shape of cloth and mail to form a border. The general shape of these vambraces is rectangular; each vambrace is wrapped around Edric's wrist, overlapping the wrist of the leather gloves which he wears beneath. One rectangle of mail fits around this outer length of Edric's forearm at the wrist, and is secured by tying a leather lace along the junction between the edges of the rectangle, which is situated parallel to Edric's forearm. Each vambrace also includes an additional, smaller, and also roughly rectangular area of cloth and mail oriented to fit over the back of each hand. This square-shaped covering is secured to Edric's hand by a pair of leather loops intended to be fitted over his index finger and pinky.

Pet: Edric travels with a large wolf that he found in the woods as a pup and raised as his own. This wolf, by the name of Winter, has developed an extremely close bond to his master, and will go so far as to defend the young man in battle. Winter is of a particular large breed of wolf native to the snowy ridges of the Snowpeak Mountains. At three years of age, Winter measures some 200cm in length and weighs roughly 75-80 kilograms, standing at a height of roughly 85 centimeters. Winter's coat is quite full, mostly of a light grey hue. His eyes are a mild shade of coppery yellow.

Appearance: Edric stands roughly 175 centimeters in height, weighing some 80 kilograms. An active, hard-working young man, Edric has a lean, built physique. Despite his noble upbringing, his hands are not without the marks and callouses of one accustomed to tough manual labor, and his arms, chest, and shoulders are dotted with the small scars and occasionally cuts and bruises from the blunted tourney swords used in The Northrock's practice yard.

His face remains young, if hardened, with a broad, tight jaw and a stern brow. His sculpted visage is textured with a relative thin beard along his jaw, and framed by a mat of wavy, dark brown locks reaching down not quite to his shoulders. The dark, dark brown of his hairs contrasts with the steel blue of his sharp eyes.

Underneath his mail and coat-of-plates, Edric wears a bluish, slate grey tunic with long sleeves and a lace-up collar atop a pair of biege, wool breeches. Over his tunic, he wears a light, olive green tabard with a trim of heavier, white thread stitched along its edge to help prevent fraying. The tabard, with open flanks and ends that extend down to Edric's knees, splits below belt-level to seat more neatly on a saddle. The tabard also features a moderately deep, v-shaped collar, exposing the slate-grey tunic below.

Edric's footwear consists of a pair of durable, leather boots suited for trekking over harsh, rocky terrain.

In his armor and equipment, Edric wears his mail haubergeon over his tunic and tabard, with his brown coat-of-plates over his haubergeon. He wears a belt about his waist, made from a tough strip of leather with a bronze buckle. Below his belt, his armor, tabard, and tunic extend over his thighs to varying lengths.
As well, Edric often wears a pair of plain, brown leather gloves, with his mail vambraces worn over his gloves and the ends of his tunic's sleeves.

Edric keeps Storm's scabbard on a loop of his belt against his left thigh, where the sheath of his main-gauche is situated on the back of Edric's belt on the left side, mounted horizontally such that the dagger's grip may be easily accessed by Edric's left hand. A number of other, small pouches are kept on the back and right side of Edric's belt, meant for carrying smaller miscellanea while most of Edric's belongings are kept in a leather satchel held near his right hip by a leather strap over his left shoulder. On another leather strap, Edric keeps a small, leather sack for carrying water, closed with a beeswax seal.

Over the whole ensemble, Edric wears a heavy, greyish-green, wool cloak with a hood to pull over his head. His cloak is fastened about his collar by an iron brooch plated in silver and formed in the shape of a stag's head, after the heraldry of Edric's family line.

Personality: Edric's personal behavior is very much influenced by the model set down for him by Lord Mael Coluim as Edric was a young boy growing up in the halls of Northrock. Despite his lack of wealth, compared to many other members of Hylian nobility, Malcolm saw to it that his sons received a proper education, which included teachings of etiquette as well as teachings in intellectual pursuits. As such, Edric came to develop a strong appreciation for principles of honor and individual duty to one's self and one's community.

Such an emphasis placed on honor leads Edric to assign a large value to promises. As far as Edric is concerned, a man is only as good as his word. As such, he can be known to go to great lengths to fulfill what some might consider trivial obligations. To Edric's mind, the importance of the promised task is irrelevant. Rather, it is the immeasurable importance of the need to stay true to one's word on which Edric most often acts.

As well, Edric was taught, as a boy, that to respect one's brothers and sisters--meant to refer to all other Hylians in the general sense rather than next of kin--was a most honorable and respectable quality. As such, he considers it important to remain a kind and sympathetic individual to others if possible.

Edric's upbringing as the bastard son of a minor Hylian lord has left him with a mild sense of inferiority. Hector always showed love to each of his sons. However, although Edric was the eldest of Lord Hector's sons, the illegitimacy of his birth meant that the estates of Northrock and of House Snow were not his to inherit. Such a contradiction between his father's love and respect and the apparent unimportance of a bastard child have caused Edric to feel unjustly looked down on. Indeed, he has done nothing of note to warrant any disrespect from society. However, his resulting feelings include a hint of jealousy toward his brothers, and those individuals whom he might feel are personally inferior, but whom society considers the superior men. Generally, however, Edric is not driven to disrespect most men simply for this reason.

As well, Edric is often known to sympathize with others who might be considered outcasts, or who are otherwise unjustly mistreated.

To say that Edric places a large value on honor, however, can hardly be said to make him an infallible individual. Despite a sense of self-discipline meant to be accepting and kind to other persons, Edric will often slip and come to judge other men as lesser based solely on social experience. For instance, if Edric sees in another man what he has been taught is crude behavior, he may come to look down on that individual more than might be justified. Indeed, such behavior often points to less than respectable men. However, respectable men are, themselves, imperfect, and such pre-judgement on Edric's part may well be unjust.

Beyond even this, Edric can be known to fits of anger if he finally loses his head. Most often, Edric is able to contain his anger in the sense that he does not allow it to lead to violence. However, there are cases, as well, wherein Edric may be pushed to make bold moves in response to a particular injustice he may feel has been done.

Intellectually, Edric is a polymath. Despite the comparatively meager wealth of his father's house, Lord Hector made most certain to raise his sons with a proper education, fitting men of noble birth. As such, while training in Northrock's practice yard from an early age sculpted Edric into a fine swordsman, time spent with tutors and exploring the texts kept in Northrock's library have made Edric a young man keen to keep his mind honed as sharply as his steel. Edric has a bit the mind of an engineer, often taking a quite analytical approach to his surroundings. This trait certainly shows in combat, as Edric is one to make near constant assessment of the information coming in from all around.

Hardly constrained to sums and logic, Edric found himself ever intrigued by the histories of Hyrule and of distant lands, as well as by studies in the wars of past kings and princes. As a result, he has grown to be a shrewd mind in military strategy and tactics, and equally eager in the world of politics and the workings of the world.

Despite interest in the workings of politics and government, Edric has no particular wish to practice any political power.

Background: Sir Mael Coluim, son of Lord Æthelwulf I of Northrock, marched south at the dawn of Ganon's war on Hyrule. In those days, the House of Snow was a noble house commanding the respect of its peers. Never was it a large house, but in those days, its wealth was grand, particularly for the size and number of its properties. The histories would record that it was Lord Æthelwulf, taking after his father, Edmund, who brought the wealth of his House to such heights, being a shrewd investor in the young guilds and craftsmen springing up in Hyrule's cities. By the wise leadership of lords such as Æthelwulf and Edmund, House Snow was able to rise to some degree of prominence in the courts of Hyrule.

It was a dark day, then, for the northsmen, when Lord Æthelwulf was felled by a darknut in the fields of Southern Hyrule, after his horse was cut down beneath him. Northrock, the long-time home of the men of House Snow, went to Æthelwulf's eldest son, Mael Coluim Snow. The new Lord Snow sent the remains of his rather home to the north, loaded on a horse-drawn cart guarded by a dozen men-at-arms. Lord Æthelwulf was laid to rest in the crypts of Northrock Castle while his sons fought on in his name, struggling to serve a dwindling, broken Hylian army.

Before long, Lord Mael Coluim was to return home as well, a new-born son in tow. The boy's mother had died on the road some weeks before. She had taken ill, and never recovered. The girl was a low-born Hylian from a small town somewhere east of Nabooru. She had joined the war train as one of thousands of camp followers, and developed a relationship with a particular bold, hardy knight from the north. She was with child well before the end of the campaign. Indeed, she was to give birth only soon after the Hylian armies retreated north over the Goron Mountains. While Mael Coluim (by then the new Lord of Northrock) had promised to wed her upon returning to the Northrock, the mother of his infant son did not survive the journey. The boy she had borne was named Edric.

Lord Mael Coluim was to depart from Northrock twice more over the next three years, taking part in expeditions by numerous Hylian nobles to join the beleaguered Goron tribes in battling Ganon's armies. Despite showing valor in the field of battle, the hardened, loyal troops serving under Lord Snow's banner proved far too few. The same was true for the rest of those Hylian nobles brave enough to call levies to continue the fight against Ganon's horde. Though he suffered injuries in battle, Lord Mael Coluim survived these minor campaigns and rode home to hang up his sword and see to his house.

In the aftermath of the wars against Ganon, Mael Coluim came to marry a kind, beautiful lady born to another noble house near Darunia. Though their marriage was earnest and loving, his wife bore little affection for her husband's bastard. This came to define the relationship between Edric and his stepmother. Mael Coluim, in contrast, never treated the boy as an illegitimate son to any degree.

Edric's upbringing involved rigorous studies under the tutors in the service of his father. As he grew up, he came to routinely assist his father at work on his estates. Lord Mael Coluim was, of course, no idle landlord. He was quite active on his lands seeing to the duties of his office, often participating in some work on his estates, such as laying stones to help masons repair a piece of his keep. Edric, from about the age of ten, often Participated more and more in his father's field work. In later years, Edric would also accompany his father on occasional hunting expeditions into the nearby woodland.

Mael Coluim's wife came to yield two sons. The first, named Æthelred, was born two years after Edric, and the second, Cynric, another three years later. All three of Mael Coluim's sons came to be given a similar education as Edric, and both came to assist their father in field work as they came of age. Edric, being the eldest son, was the first to begin training in the art of swordplay. Northrock's master-at-arms would drill Edric almost daily in the castle's practice yard.

Æthelred began his training not long after Edric, and the two boys often spent many hours in the yard fencing with one another. Edric displayed a particular talent, catching on relatively quickly to his instructors lessons in precision footwork and sword maneuvering. Edric took his training quite seriously, as he did in his studies in academic fields. He came to develop a close student-teacher relationship with Northrock's master-at-arms, a knight by the name of Sir Donchad of Mido. In Edric's fourteenth year, however, Sir Donchad left Lord Mael Coluim's service, and was replaced by another master-at-arms. By the time Sir Donchad departed, Edric had already come to respect his teacher. He was too young, perhaps, to have developed a proper friendship with his instructor, but Edric sincerely enjoyed having his lessons from the Midoan knight.

Throughout his life, Edric was quite the woodsman. Even while not on a hunt with his father, Edric was often seen riding east to the woodlands on the edges of Lord Mael Coluim's land. He spent many adolescent days exploring and wandering through the towering oaks and birches. As well, the boy was often known to fraternize with some of the low-born boys of craftsmen's families living in and around Northrock's walls. Indeed, this was quite unusual for a boy of Edric's stature, but he never felt quite at home among Mael Coluim's legitimate heirs, and thus did not think it necessary to behave according to the stricter tenants of Hylian aristocratic culture. Edric, however, found that it was not only in this regard that he differed from other young men. Often times, as he built fires in the woods, he found that he could light kindling almost without effort. Sometimes, he could conjure a blazing pyramid of flames from a pile of hopelessly wet fuel.

When sparking flames, he could swear that he could feel some sensation in his fingertips, as if some kind of warmth was flowing into the wood from the deepest depths of his being. He felt this as well during one particularly important lesson in swordplay. When Sir Donchad was still in Lord Mael Coluim's service, on a particularly frustrating day, Edric found that his building annoyance resulted in the blade of his practice sword taking on a fiery, orange glow. This flash of light was accompanied by a burst of considerable heat, and while the phenomenon passed a mere moment later, it was hardly one which Sir Donchad could have missed. The knight later informed Lord Mael Coluim. It was said that this was a sign that Edric had power bestowed upon him by the goddess of Power, and that he should cherish this gift. However, he was told that he should keep it hidden and controlled, and that he should only use this gift in times of dire need.

The woods to Northrock's east bore witness to the second of Edric's extraordinary gifts. While exploring the wilds during his sixteenth year, Edric came across a small wolf pup with white fur and sharp, yellow eyes. He brought the wolf pup home with him, and was allowed to keep the creature as his own, on the condition that the beast be his responsibility, and that of no other man. Edric named the wolf Winter, after the early snows in which he found the animal, and the young man developed an affectionate bond with the creature. Over the next three years, Winter grew to incredible sizes, but remained a loyal and mostly docile pet, and was extremely obedient, having been trained well by his master.

Through these years, Edric's father became increasingly involved with a number of North Hylian nobles who remained more eager to continue the fight against Ganon. Despite the halting of the Dark Prince's advance more than a decade prior, these nobles were not so quick to simply lower their guard. The green clad hero who entered Goron City to challenge Ganon had not been seen since the fabled encounter. Indeed, many men who had not witnessed the boy simply refused to believe such a youth even existed. Rather, the armies of darkness had finally been worn down by stiff, continuous defense put forward by Hylian and Goron armies. If anything, tales of a hero in green clothes were no more than a symbol for Hylian and Goron valor.

If this was the case, however, then Northern Hyrule was still vulnerable to invasion. A number of nobles, knights, and other figures of power in the kingdom were inclined to think that to properly safeguard the prosperity of Hyrule would necessitate the willingness and capability to act with military force in one or more unified, decisive campaigns. A few nobles acting mostly on their own would be swept aside by Ganon's hordes, if the experiences of the South were to be heeded. Lord Mael Coluim was one noble with this frame of mind. Despite the meager wealth of his house, Lord Snow proved a major player by virtue of his reputation for honor and determination. The cause of defending Hyrule was to fall to those with the will to do what would need to be done more than it would fall purely on a supply of rupees, although funds would be necessary as well. Lord Snow was a personification of this will to act, and many like-minded lords respected his determination that, should Ganon ever return, the stag's head banner would march with all the levies, knights, and men-at-arms that Northrock could muster, and that Lord Snow would lead her vanguard.

While this plan to defend Hyrule in the event of invasion by coordinating and taking up arms was mostly fantastical and idealistic, this group of nobles also proved quite active in seeking out and hunting down groups of Ganon's servants in Hyrule. Sometimes, small warbands would manage to sneak into the heart of the north and terrorize the Hylian population. These lords, Mael Coluim included, would often send monetary loans to smaller lords whose villages had been sacked by roaming bands of moblins. Other times, these lords would send out expeditions of knights and men-at-arms to locate and destroy camps of these creatures across the realm.

In his nineteenth year, Edric found himself itching to follow the example of his father. The bastard son of a lord with few estates, he realized that there was little chance that he would ever hold any real power in the realm. Indeed, as a bastard, he was not slated to inherit the rights to his father's estates. Instead, in the event of Mael Coluim's death, the titles of Northrock would pass to Æthelred. To follow in the footsteps of his father, then, Edric would have to set out on travels of his own, perhaps to serve as an honored man-at-arms under some southron lord. The sellsword's life did not suit Edric. There was no honor in loyalty to coin. Loyalty to a cause, however, was, indeed, honorable. Intending to live the life of an honorable soldier, Edric concluded that he would depart the home of his youth. He would become one of many free riders traveling the countryside in search of wealth and glory. Edric would travel in search of a lord to whom he might pledge his service.

Now, on the eve of Edric's departure from Northrock, a shadow stirs in the wilds of Hyrule. Events are to unfold that will hurl Edric into a world of darkness and magic, where he must journey across the land with other heroes from all races and backgrounds in order to defend his home and his people.

I'll be honest with you. Will, Cloud, and I have been discussing Edric Snow. There are two points.

First: We all separately came to the conclusion that you're--to be blunt--ripping Jon Snow out of Game of Thrones and slapping him into Hyrule. Your player characters should be of your own design. That aside, many facets of this character don't seem remotely Hyrulean: anglo-saxon names, noble houses, and the bastard son of a minor lord, are at best tangentially related to anything Zelda.

Second: It's obvious from the length of your post that you spent a lot of time on this character--"Storm the Sword" could almost be an acceptable player-character in of itself. I'd rather not reject a character if someone spent so much time on him.

So, that's where we stand right now. As it stands, we'd probably let it slide, since this character wouldn't exactly ruin someone's day. Before I outright accept it, though, I'd like to pause for a moment and ask you: do you want to change Edric Snow? Maybe at least change his last name?

I'm not surprised you three came to that conclusion, for reasons that should be abundantly clear. I do have some questions, though, to explore just exactly what brought you to that conclusion. I had actually done a great deal of work to try and move the character farther away from Jon Snow.

I do not intend to appear contentious at any time.

You may remember that Edric Snow is a character I made on this site many months ago. In short, that version of Edric was a disgustingly blatant clone of George R R Martin's character, complete with a Night's Watch analogue. This was, of course, before the long period of inactivity from which I recently returned.

The origins of Edric Snow as a bastard son also stem somewhat from Mount and Blade, considering that, as I played through the game with an imaginary sort of roleplaying story going on in the background, I developed my plot arc around the idea that Edric Snow was a bastard, and the social stigmas surrounding that caused difficulties in his rise to political prominence.

Considering that, what, more precisely, about my character sheet points to the character from A Song of Ice and Fire? Really, what points to Jon Snow if you disregard the similarities in name, illegitimacy of birth, and the ownership of a large wolf? Those three things I chose to keep despite the similarities to George R R Martin's character, because I still ended up liking the sound of the name, Snow, because being a bastard played a developmental role with my Edric Snow, and because I still liked the sort of roleplay combat which might result from mixing a large wolf with medieval longsword combat.

Ignoring those three things which I chose to keep deliberately, is there anything which still is too similar to Jon Snow? I had tried to eliminate similarities in this version of the character.

To clarify on my rationale for some of the elements which seem less than Hylian (would be interested in your thoughts):

I will start by saying I chose names of Anglo-Saxon and Gaelic Scottish origin mostly because I thought they sounded cool, and because I felt they added some flavor to my characters which might not always be touched in in many Zelda characters. As I mentioned some weeks ago, our mainland Hyrule is a big place with a population likely reaching into the millions, and that we would probably see a Hyrule with lots of castles and villages about.

This plays into what turns out to be more often the way in which I handle such universes, especially when roleplaying. I usually make an effort to try and enrich at least my story telling by doing what I can to illustrate a believable and involving world around the events of my characters. Now, Hyrule is not my world. However, I am given a fair amount of information on which I can extrapolate some facets of Hylian society and society which the games never illustrate explicitly.

Does this, perhaps, provide some clarity on my thoughts while writing this character? I certainly don't want to create a character about whom any of you would have any significant misgivings.

I am especially curious to see how much we feel the character still seems like a Jon Snow ripoff aside from the three things mentioned above, since it was in areas other than these three things that I tried to remove Jon Snow's story and fill in the gaps with the story of the character I envisioned while playing Mount and Blade. If it is still too much like a Jon Snow clone, I shall have to do some more work cutting away problematic elements.

I must admit, you have a gift for taking a small answer and making it extremely elaborate.
Okay. I'll break it down. Cloud was initially looking over this character, and he brought it to my attention because he wanted a second opinion on how to proceed. I initially thought it odd that this character had an extremely Anglo-Saxon vibe coming from it, considering Hyrulean lore generally has little to do with that sort of fiction. The character to me seemed more like something out of Game of Thrones, which I personally have never read as a book nor seen as a television series. I thought, and still do think, the character seems slightly unusual in this setting--but, HC has plenty of unusual characters, so I thought it would be worth a little more than a passing mention.

Even so, I ended up discussing Edric Snow with Will as well. He informed me of the resemblances to a specific character from Game of Thrones, and I took his word for it.

Considering how extremely few fictional characters in the history of mankind have the attributes you admit the two characters share--owning any wolf period, illegitimacy of birth, and having a very specific last name--I am forced to agree that the similarity is striking. This is compounded with the Anglo-Saxon names and culture of Edric Snow, which is inherently similar to anything from Game of Thrones. There may be other shared characteristics of which I am not even aware.

Likewise, I don't intend appear like a pretentious asshole.

I generally don't take into consideration characters which have been previously made, nor how precisely the idea of them formed. I endeavor to only consider what is within the confines of this thread, and how it relates to Hyrule Castle.

You wanted a cool-sounding name. Who doesn't? My characters all have names that sound cool to me. That was never a significant problem in of itself.

    'kay.

My opinion hasn't really changed. The character is still strikingly similar to a more well-known character, and it will seem that way to others who see Edric Snow in the future.

As I said in my last post, I asked if you wanted to change Edric Snow in light of these similarities. Your answer seems to be no.

As I said in my last post, I was going to outright accept this character regardless of your answer. The similarity is striking, but not so much that it should pose a significant problem to anyone on Hyrule Castle.

As I might as well have said in my last post, *stamp* accepted. This should go without saying, but you're welcome to tweak your character at any time.
