Place of Origin: Rolling Ridge (moved)
    PWC: 2/3/4

Treasures: Boko Baba Seed Supply Baba + Safeguard [crafted from 3 Baba Seeds + 3 Armor Seeds] (18 Rupees)
    Cheval Rope (25r)
    Material: Armor Seed x2 (6r)

Equipment: Hat: Briggson's drab bucket hat is wide-brimmed and protects his face from harsh weather and rain. It has an optional set of laces to keep it secure on his head in bad weather.

Backpack: This large hiking pack is an olive drab color, similar to his hat. It contains most of what he carries, and usually holds his climbing gear when not in use. It has many separate pockets on the outside for ease of access.

Climbing Gear: Many metal links form a sturdy set of climbing ropes made from strong Cheval Rope. It's virtually impossible for the ropes to give out while Briggson is rock climbing. Many tools come in this set with their own links if they need to attach to the rope. This includes ice picks, and a small hammer with spikes to secure the rope to the rock walls. The links also secure him to a special set of belts that he wears.

Whip: He uses this whip to fend off enraged wildlife and to generally keep his own summoned creatures on his side. It's not the type of whip that can cause any real bodily harm--that's what his fists are for.

Briggson's features slightly differ from the common Goron most notably in his face. He has a stony handlebar mustache in a slight yellow color, as well as other facets. His wild and teased stone-hair continues around the sides of his face and up the back of his head, where it ends in a small loose tail tied together. The tail goes unnoticed under the aforementioned hat he wears almost all of the time. His expressive and intense eyebrows branch out at the end like long forks.

Besides the features of his hair, he doesn't have many bodily features that separate him from other Goron. His teeth are large and squared, and not perfectly aligned. His upper body is toned and muscular, as expected. He has a tattoo on his arm of the Gorons' iconic symbol, but besides that he has two small tattoos of angular storm clouds at each side of his chest, just above his ribs. His body is more recognizable due to the many belts and ropes adorning himself, as well as his huge backpack.

Personality: Briggson's interests are well-defined. He is first and foremost a hiking and climbing enthusiast. Despite rolling being the superior way to travel, Briggson takes a vertical thrill in traversing mountains and rough terrain. His skill is useful to all he meets, as he can deliver and scout. Hiking is closely rivaled by botany as his greatest interest. Plants, soil, and their study are also crucial to survival. Briggson puts emphasis on survivalism in his life.

Briggson's bright and cheerful personality nurture the plants that he grows. He became a Botanist easily, because only the best soil can be used in the many pots where Gorons are born. The fantastic soils from the many homes he has had over his lifetime are abundant wherever he lives, and can be used to grow all sorts of flora. But it's also his glowing and tender enthusiasm that makes caring for the plants such a joy. Growing plants is not all fun and games though, it is a very serious matter to create plant products for survival. He knew this when he watched his peers hold back Ganon's army, and it holds true in the desolate times as he aids his brothers in colonizing the treacherous mountains.

Briggson is really optimistic and intense. His mantra is "Never give up!" because as soon as he gives up himself, he gives up all of the brothers and sisters of the world. That will not do at all. His will and his purpose is to help those in need with his own hands, and to deliver his materials and medicines to those who require them. He does so with courage and guile, keeping people happy and/or safe is well worth his own struggle and pain. Besides, the pleasure of adventuring and exploring is well worth the trip.

The terror Briggson experienced during the invasion of Death Mountain drives him. He must survive and help other survivors, because he watched many fall and die during the bloody campaign. If only he could have helped them, this feeling plagues him and fuels all of his fears, doubts, and guilt. Putting his techniques to good use out in the wild also passes the time, as a hobby to ease his grief. He knows he will one day redeem himself for his shortcomings.

Background: Long ago, Briggson lived in Goron City. He was born to the Briggs clan, but he needed to overcome their trial to remain with them. The clan elder, Gor Briggs held a rite of smithing to enter his clan. This was to Briggson's luck as he would probably never have to smith ever again. Often to apply to the clan a Goron would submit some shoddy craftsmanship in the form of a weapon. It was well known among them that the rite wasn't to match their clan's specialty, so a lot of complacency went on. So it was that Briggson submitted his own sword of non-impressive make. It would later pain Briggson that their lax nature with forging weapons and practicing combat would leave them so open to attack.

While his youth and practice in soil richness was well-spent, the Goron's twenties would not go so well. Ganon's invasion took place, and while Briggson would hope not to remember the terror of losing everyone, its impact was all too real. The disaster occurred as history would record. Those left of the Briggs clan and a great many other Gorons were left to take refuge in Castle Town. The Briggs clan were naturalists and explorers, so as soon as the window opened to move off to Rolling Ridge, they simply left to colonize the area. To the current year, the Rolling Ridge community is still notably small.

Big Brother's defeat and the disappearance of the Hero weighed heavily on Briggson. He did his civil duty every day to bring supplies and medicines into Rolling Ridge. But some days, it was not enough to cope with the loss. On these days he fell back on the one thing that gave him true joy: mountain climbing. It was the thrill of going vertically instead of horizontally. It was the rush of adrenaline when finding a Korok on the peak of a desolate summit. Old as he was, Briggson could spend most of his time doing something, and rarely stopped for a break.

As he grew ever older, Briggson began to learn more advanced botany on his own. He knew just delivering medicines wouldn't be enough one day, so he dedicated roughly a third of his time to gardening and study. His deep knowledge of soil would come in handy during his very long and determined experiments. One day, on one of his luckiest days ever, he managed to successfully crossbreed a supply of seeds using Boko Baba and Armor Seeds. It was on that day he knew he was destined for something more than just delivery. Maybe he could go out into the world and find out what happened to the Hero, or at least find out what to do about Ganon. He was prepared, and he was strong enough to back it up. It was the dawning of the day of Briggson.

But yeah, I like how much his naturalism reminds me of Bear Grylls. Excellent personality, and quite a nice backstory. Consider this character approved.
