    Height:
    5'06"
    Weight: 146 lbs.
    Instrument: N/A
Profession: A member of the Hylian Guard

    Equipment:
Bell employs a variety of weapons in combat, but although she is willing to take up whatever is available to wield, typically only a small handful of weapons make up her armament. The main one of which she uses is her glaive. Long and slender, this long pole reaches about five and a half feet into the air. Socketed into the end is a thick, single edged blade, about a foot and a half long. Both the pole and blade seem comprised of steel, mostly free of any blemishes or stains. An issue from the guard, the blade is emblazoned with the symbol of the Hylian Guard; The noble bird and the triforce. One knowledgeable about the guard’s equipment could tell it is somewhat better quality than the typical guard Glaive, but is rather plain, for the most part. Bell’s glaive seems to be by far in the best condition of all of her equipment. Through possibly a combination of being well maintenanced and sheer luck, the glaive appears as if it had seen a blacksmith mere moments ago.

Another weapon she employs is a longsword. Though more of a back-up weapon, this long, double edged blade has proved useful on more than one occasion. Made mostly of steel, this just over 3 foot sword seems rather simple. Close inspection would reveal to any knowledgeable viewer it was clearly standard guard issue. The symbol of the guard is emblazoned into the hilt, in the cross-guard and grip. Other than that, it is a simple long sword of acceptable quality. It was clearly not as good of a quality weapon as her glaive. Though there was nothing wrong with it in use, it wasn’t as illustrious as some may come to expect; minor nicks and scratches across the blade and hilt, and the blade didn’t shine with that empowering light some may come to expect from it. Perhaps it was another guard’s blade, and when he met his end it was passed down to another troop.

Her final piece of weaponry brought into battle is nothing more than your typical Hylian Shield. Though it looks somewhat stained and fainted in color, it is quite durable regardless. There’s nothing out of the ordinary with it whatsoever. Aside from weaponry, Bell does wear an assortment of armor, which serves useful in protecting her.

Her armor is primarily comprised of a combination of iron and leather. First is an iron Lamellar cuirass, made up of several thick rectangular iron plates. Spread across her arms are thick, leather gauntlets, enveloping her hands and arms almost like thick, long gloves. The main difference, however, is the light iron plates spread over the outside of the gauntlets and back of where her palm would be. However, the underside is simply leather. Resting on her shoulders and meeting where the gauntlets’ iron ends are a set of light, iron spaulders, reaching down to hover just above her elbows. Resting in between these spaulders is a light Sallet helmet; Bulky enough to provide neck and skull protection, but light enough that vision reduction is minimized. Below her cuirass and making up the rest of her armor are light, iron greaves covering the lower half of her body. These leggings are light enough that they sacrifice some protection as to not weigh her movement down too much, but they are a very noticeable improvement over having nothing.

The quality of armor, for the most part, can be described as ‘good’ enough. Slightly stained and tinted, the armor is not in its greatest condition and has clearly been used more than a handful of times in battle. Still, the reality that it is in this condition is a testament to the fact that it has served its job well and survived more than its fair share of battles. Between the various armor pieces and Bell’s soft flesh is a light layer of cloth, to prevent the armor from chafing- or in severe cases, tearing- her skin.

Aside from this, Bell has a small assortment of magical items obtained throughout her years. The first of which is the Backshift Cape, a graduation gift from her mentor. This long, dark green cape flows gracefully behind her, befitting the image of a hero. The second is a Life-Binding Charm, a gift she posthumously received from her grandfather. While rummaging through his large assortment of junk one day, she found this small pendant and found it cute, so she wore it. To her discovery, it possessed magical healing properties. The necklace itself appears to be something resembling a daisy of sorts; The yellow inside is in the shape of a flower-y heart, surrounded by white petals.

    Physical Description:
Bell has a head of bright, thick chestnut colored hair, inherited from her mother. Unlike her mother’s long, flowing hair, however, Belle prefers to keep it shorter. Cut to a little under shoulder length, it makes it more manageable when wearing armor compared to longer lengths. Along with this, her hair’s naturally thick bunches can make wearing a helmet hot and bothersome, so she tries to keep it cut somewhat thin as a result. However, her hair builds up in thickness fairly quickly, so it can be quite the annoyance to keep up with. Her slightly wide forehead is plainly visible, left uncovered as her bangs have been trimmed off, preferring not to deal with having them fall in the way during combat.

In contrast to her darker shade of hair, Bell has large, bright green shimmering eyes, mirroring her vitality well. To match these eyes, she has a somewhat large nose just below, which narrows somewhat to a round end. Despite this, it doesn’t slant very hard, making it appear somewhat smooth. She has round, puffy cheeks, though not protruding too significantly. Her jawline tapers downward to reach a slightly pointed, predominant chin line. Just above is a pair of slightly puffy, reddish lips, matching her cheeks well.

She has a somewhat light yet healthy skin tone, which wraps across her fit and toned body developed from the years of training as a Hylian Guard. This activity has burned away most fat that would make up her body, making her rather lean with mostly muscle. This healthy physique reaches to about average height for a Hylian woman, if slightly taller, while weighing a bit more than normal. However, this is primarily due to the muscle. Decorating this body is generally her suit of steel armor while on duty or in a combat situation.

When not on active duty or in any situation requiring or suggesting she be geared up, Bell tends to wear simple civilian attire. A mixture of simple brown and white cloths make up her shirts and pants, with occasionally a green here and there. Rarely will she don dresses or more girly make-ups in every-day situations, only taking them on in certain situations. One such situation is when Bell is relaxing in or in the midst of flowers, such as a garden or meadow.

In this case, her attire morphs drastically. Gone are the dull browns and whites, instead replaced with delicate looking white sundresses decorated with many colorful hues, from patterns of a deep shade of red, to light, floral green designs, to bright yellow sun insignias spread across the dress. However, she tends to avoid pink in her dresses, as she feels it lets off the wrong display for a knight, and is not a presentable color to wear.

    Personality:
Bell is quite the idealistic young woman, especially compared to your average person. Since she was a child, she’s heard stories of brave, virtuous heroes defending innocent civilians and upholding peace and justice in the world, slaying evil monsters who wish to harm those who may hurt them, and so on. These stories moved and compelled her, and she wanted to become just like the heroes she heard about in these tales. As a result of this, she is adamant in defending the populace and upholding justice in the world, even if members of the Hylian guard aren’t. It is also her goal to one day change the guard in this way too. However, this can result in some poor flaws.

While not necessarily a poor judge of character, Bell tends to be rather trusting of the common man. She believes that civilians can all be good people if they tried, and they should be given a shot. Even if doubt creeps into her mind caused by situational analysis, she will still try to give the person the benefit of the doubt and trust them, as long as sufficient evidence isn’t provided. As a result of this, she tries especially hard not to judge or discriminate against shady, suspicious, or dangerous looking characters, even if instinct may suggest otherwise. For all she knows, they could very well be kind, wholesome people, and to act otherwise is an insult to those she swore to protect. As such, it can be rather easy to deceive Bell, as long as there isn’t a compelling reason to believe otherwise. Due to this, she tries to treat those that she meets with kindness and respect.

However, due to this, Bell does not take betrayal kindly, and executes swift punishment on those who lie or cheat others. She adamantly believes in upholding her own code of justice and virtue, such as saving the civilians, punishing the thieves and murderers, and slaying foul beasts that want nothing more than to have a Hylian’s skull served to them on a plate. She does not condone punishing those who do not deserve it, be they Hylian or not. As such, her own code of justice may conflict with that of her superiors or that of the objective she has been assigned. In these cases, Bell will often follow her own wishes rather than that of her duty, which can create conflict with others when their goals do not meet.

Bell is, overall, a very driven girl. She is diligent in her work as a guard or whatever task is currently at hand, and once she has a goal she is determined to accomplish it. This can almost be to the point of obsession sometimes, causing her to lose sight of the bigger picture due to how absorbed she has become, as various events can fly straight over her head.

Due to her childhood of farming, Bell has quite the fascination with floral life, plants, and fauna in general, almost past an interest and to the point of obsession. In her free time when not on duty, Bell can often be found relaxing in meadows or fields of flowers, or something of that nature. It is fairly calming to her, and can be seen as a way to relax or take away stress. Her knowledge of fauna and plant life is quite extensive, branching across numerous different topics of discussion. However, outside of this, her learned knowledge is rather limited. She knows little about the outside world past Northern Hyrule, her knowledge beyond the fact thatthey exist- and possibly details about the conflict in Southern Hyrule- being rather nonexistent.

Even her knowledge of Northern Hyrule is somewhat limited; She knows the major locales throughout and where they are, but the actual details tend to be scarce. Coupled with this, she doesn’t even realize the existence of some of the rarer denizens that make up Hyrule’s populace, such as Picori or Subrosians. Various species of monsters tend to also be unknown to her, outside of the more well-known ones, such as the Blin family, Darknuts, or Wizzrobes. Even in these cases, however, her knowledge tends to be somewhat limited.

Though Bell loves flowers more than most things, she tends to distance herself from rather girly details, as they often conflict with how she views a knightly image, and some tend to take her less seriously as a result. Due to this, when in civilian clothing she often dresses in rather standard attire, without any sort of female touch to it such as dresses. It is only when she is around flowers or meadows that her appearance becomes feminine, donning colorful, bright dresses of various hues. To her, this is the appropriate attire to wear when in such an environment, and to wear normal clothes feels strange and alien to the girl. Outside of this, however, rarely will she wear dresses or other clothing generally associated with being girly.

Of course, despite this, that isn’t to say she doesn’t indulge in certain girly aspects of life; Bell quite enjoys a steamy romance novel every now and again, despite what one may think. She has developed quite the affinity towards cooking due to her mother’s tutelage since a young age, and enjoys making delicious meals. Along with this, Bell quite likes gems of various types, and enjoys seeing the mixture of colors within the rocks. Among them, Opals seem to be her favorite. However, she has quite the stigma against the color pink; She sees it as unfitting for a knight, so she does not don it even in her off time. She has nothing against girly things, she just simply dislikes letting people know about them.

Although she doesn’t dislike her birth name, it feels strange to her as a knight, so when using her full name, she tends to introduce herself as Belladonna, rather than Bluebell. Typically she doesn’t use her full name regardless, only in formal situations, and in most cases goes by Bell. Her parents are, for the most part, the only ones that refer to her as Bluebell.

In combat, Bell is quite the trained, steady fighter. Her years of training have left her with a decent amount of theoretical and trained experience, and in her short time in the guard she has gained valuable practical experience. She is trained in numerous weapons, able to proficiently wield an assortment of them. These include, but are not limited to, longarm weapons such as her glaive, swords of various lengths and sizes such as long and short swords alike, whips, maces, and axes. However, if the option is available, Bell generally prefers to wield her glaive and sword, along with morphing them into a whip-like state with String Shift. She finds certain weapons, such as axes, too brutal and barbaric, and unfit for the elegant and noble image a hero should display, hence her common choice in weapons. Overall, she is decently skilled for her age, but still has quite a large distance she can grow as a fighter.

    Backstory:
Bell was born on a small farm neighboring Hyrule Castle Town, which was owned and managed by her parents, Kilia Threshrow and Darnebus Threshow. They ran a small shop that sold all sorts of plants, from various fruits and vegetables to flowers. Her father, Darnebus, would often be out in the fields working, while her mother managed the shop or the home. It was a simple life at first, but Bell loved it. As a young girl, she always wanted to help her father out in the fields, much to his delight, but more often than not she would just get in the way due to her young age. He didn’t mind much though, it was nice to spend the time with her. When she did spend time with her mother, they would often manage the flower fields together, picking and assorting flowers. When not doing that, Kilia often taught Bell about the finer points of being a girl, such as how to cook, clean, sew, and other things of that nature. She usually didn’t enjoy learning these things, instead preferring to be around the gardens and fields, but it was something her mother always insisted she learn at least a little about.

Her parents were very kind people. They always made it a point to teach her that just like people, plants need attentive love and care to survive and flourish, and if given it, they will bloom beautifully. Likewise, if you neglect a person or plant, it will not flourish, instead wilting and rotting away into an abhorrent form. It was something visibly employed in their work on the farms and at the shop, as their produce was always of good quality.

As a young girl, a small squad of Hylian soldiers often passed by their farms, patrolling the lands around Castle Town to make sure there were no monsters or bandits lurking around. Her parents were rather kind to the guards, often treating them to fruits or vegetables to recharge after such an exhausting walk each day. The guards themselves tended to be somewhat lazy, and in response to the family’s generosity could often be found slacking around the houses, though they would swear they were keeping guard on the farm due to its large size. Bell was interested in the armored men whenever they came around, and having nothing better to do, they often told her of their grand, heroic tales of knightly conquests and dungeon daring.

Of course, most of the stories were probably nothing more than make believe tales generated to impress and amaze the small girl, and it worked. She was captivated by their mystical tales of heroism, entranced by the thought that such amazing people were out there. She had never seen a monster or anything of that sort, but she knew it must be due to men like these defeating them, right?

One day, the farm was met with a distaster. Tiny pitchforks rose high in the air and the distinct noise of yipping and di-dink penetrated the air, combined only with the sounds of panic and fear. A small group of wandering, hungry Miniblin had somehow ended up closer to Castle Town. Upon wandering up to the farm, they decided to raid it of its food, and as Miniblin do, they decided to kill the people inhabiting it for no real reason. Despite not being remarkably strong, her family was a bunch of normal Hylian folk, they couldn’t defend against the tiny blin beasts.

As things looked bad, it was then that the heroes swooped in to save the day. The squadron of guards that patrolled the area daily rushed in, having heard the screams of terror come from the small family from a distance as they approached. They almost effortlessly slayed the small bunch of Miniblin, the small, rodent like creatures standing virtually no chance against the trained guards. Though it was not a particularly impressive or amazing feat to your average person, to Bell it was incredible. This, along with the stories of heroism she had heard throughout her life, inspired her greatly. A growing flame started stirring inside her, a sense of justice. She wanted to be just like them one day, if she could be

However, most people would not respond seriously to a young girl with flowers in her hair shouting that she wanted to become a guard. Though her parents were supportive, and the guards she had befriended humored her- though they may not have taken her seriously-, most others didn’t. This only made her more determined to prove them wrong and show them that she could do it. She trained and worked on her on, diligent in accomplishing her goal, and eventually managed to accomplish the starting goal to reaching her dreams.

At the somewhat young age of around mid-teens, Bell enrolled in knight school. With a mixture of raw talent and pure determination and drive, she left quite the positive first impression on her superiors. She was doing quite well, but still wanted to accomplish more, faster. One of the guards she had befriended in her childhood, since retired, heard of her successes as of so far and desire to grow at a faster rate. Glad to lend his assistance after all her family had done for him and his squad, he set Bell up with his son; An eager, idealistic young guardsman named Hanjo Woltskin, who was still somewhat fresh off the block himself. However, he was quite the talented fellow, and was also willing to train her in their off time.

He trained and taught her various things, things she wouldn’t learn in knight training, or expanded on things taught to her in class. Things about combat, the guard, and life, he taught her all manner of subjects. However, one thing among those rang more true than the others; a magical spell, something she would not learn in knight school. It was a spell called String Shift, a spell that can magically shift the properties of an object to act like a whip. He taught her how to use it along with proficiency with whips. Although she was not as innately talented in magic as some other Hylians, she managed to grasp it in time, eventually becoming quite proficient in the use of the spell.

Eventually, it was Bell’s time to graduate from knight school and join the Hylian guard. She was incredibly excited to finally become what she had envisioned her heroes as all these years, so the actual result was quite shocking for her. Rather than the fantastical heroes she had thought the guard with filled with, it was instead full of men of far less heroic stature. Drunkards, cowards, you name it. Some men joined to provide for their families, while others joined simply for the luxury and status, and didn’t care in the slightest about whether they could save a life. Though there was still the occasional ‘hero’ like she had pictured, they were few and far between. This shock turned into a determination to change it, to make it the noble, higher status she had imagined.

Due to a combination of her already well made impressions and a diligent work ethic, Bell quickly rose through the ranks in the guard, gaining a small handful of promotions in a short time. Such a large number of rank ups so close together was quite the impressive accomplishment, but she had more to accomplish, this was no time to rest.

However, she made a mistake. She was assigned on a mission with a small squadron of guards, the objective being to slay a monster terrorizing some small lands that had recently been cultivated by a small group of Hylians. Upon encountering the beast, however, Bell learned that it was a large plant creature. She knew it was known for violent outbursts, but relatively docile unless disturbed, and didn’t actively seek out conflict or destruction. It was likely angry that the Hylians had invaded and taken over its lands, and was simply lashing out in response to that. It didn’t deserve to be killed, and Bell didn’t believe it was right to. It just wanted to survive peacefully, so she helped relocate the monster to a different location. As a result of this, the monster was, for the most part, unscathed and escaped with its life.

Although Bell was satisfied with this, her superiors were far from amused. The beast had claimed multiple lives in its outburst, and they wanted its head. They didn’t care why it had assaulted people, they just wanted it slain. She was punished accordingly for her actions, and demoted to a low rank. Along with this, Bell was put on standby for the time being, with her pay being lowered significantly as a result. As a result, she was forced to sit around doing nothing, waiting until her superiors decide to allow her to act again. Unless, of course, she decides to act on her own. . .
