Lamont sauntered between the various stalls at a leisurely pace, checking out the wide range of wares and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. There were stalls with fresh fruit and vegetables from the farms surrounding the town, stalls with bundles of brightly coloured and exotic-looking fabrics, others with pots and pans, weaponry, books, there was a stall for almost everything one could think of.

    "Huh?"

He wasn't searching for anything in particular, but one stall had caught his eye. Or rather, a single object displayed on the stall had.
Lamont approached the stall, where a large, black cloak had been laid out. It was made of strange supple fabric, so dark it seemed to simply absorb any light that reached it. Bright, greenish, glowing patterns crossed the fabric, it was unlike anything Lamont had ever seen.

"Ah, the sir has a good taste!"

The stall's owner had noticed Lamont inspecting the cape, and had approached him, eager to sell.

"Very rare, sir! Made by the Twili... You know, the shadowfolk." He added in a low voice, as if he was entrusting him with a secret. Lamont looked at the merchant in an questioning manner. He had heard some rumours about the creatures they called Twili, but he had never seen one or any trace of one. They were as elusive as the realm where they hailed from.

"Yours for a hundred rupees!" The merchant said, looking at Lamont with a bright smile, when the latter was still looking at the cloak and feeling the farbic slip between his fingers.

A hundred rupees was almost his entire savings, but the cloak intrigued him. He wasn't going to find anything like this ever again...

"Alright, sold!" A smile crept onto Lamont's lips as he searched his pockets for the rupees, quickly handing them over to the merchant.

With his new purchase safely wrapped up and tightly held under his arm, he continued his stroll, until the sound of a fanfare reached him. It was coming from a crowd at the edge of the market. Once he got there, Lamont had to stand on his toes to peer between the heads in the crowd to see what was going on.

It was a group of performers, showing off their tricks to the crowd and handing out pamphlets, advertising a travelling circus that had stopped in town for a few days. There was a magician, conjuring cards out of thin air and making them disappear all the same, a pair of acrobats in brightly coloured clothes, performing gravity-defying tricks, and a charming Gerudo woman with a belt of knives around her waist, who was handing out the pamphlets.

    "A circus, huh...?"

Lamont decided to stay and watch a little longer. After all, he didn't get to see a circus often, and a chance like this was a rare one.

Lamont has acquired the Twili Race License.
