Equipment: Reu possesses a staff, a hand-crafted tunic, and a cap. The staff was given to him when his training started to be a protector, and is of light weight wood and easy to use. About one and a half feet long, the smooth wood is barely worn from use, and contains a knob at the top perfect for bashing things. Reu uses this staff not only as a physical weapon, but also as a conduit to channel his magic power. Without it, he has a much harder time casting and maintaining spells. His tunic is hand crafted by himself, stitched together to create a vest of foliage around his body. Actually, the tunic offers little, if any, protection, being nothing more than large leaves one would find just by strolling around the forest. Considering the Kokiri don't experience any change in season, it's not exactly clear how, but the two large leaves wrapped around his body are the brightest of autumn oranges. Finally, his cap. Made of cloth, the plain gray design fits snugly over his head, pressing his single broad leaf down and out the cap like hair. The cap much like his tunic isn't really meant for protection, but rather aesthetic appeal. At the same time, the loose fitting clothing allows Reu to channel magic more freely, unlike other warriors who completely bog down their potential with heavy iron and steel. *Reu also carries small items like bottles for his magic water. Appearance: Without the accessories that make him stand out, Reu truly is one among many scrubs. Standing at three feet and five inches, he's barely taller than many of his kind. He has a rounded head with the same wooden features and barrel snout as any other scrub. Big yellow eyes that are either wide with curious intent, or drooping sad when calm or...well...sad. His tiny arms are just big enough to grip and utilize his staff, and he waddles around on two tiny wooden feet, just like any other. The only really distinguishing feature Reu has is the single broad leaf that shoots straight up from his head. Leaves, after all, are what all scrubs use to tell each other apart nowadays. Personality: In a past life, a younger Reu was adventurous and moody, bending with anything and everything that life threw at him; putting a face to each new situation. In his new reincarnation little has changed, save for a fresh new look and a sense of maturity to bolster his heroic capabilities. Reu is just as adventurous as before, and is always ready to take on new challenges to prove him self worthy. As a protector-in-training, Reu has much more freedom to roam about the forest and the outside world than other dekus of the Kokiri Forest. Because of this, Reu has developed a sense of curiosity that can usually only be satiated by a good story or job that lets him explore his surroundings. While he's not the same moody always-a-different-emotion kind of a scrub any longer, it's needless to say that the magical prowess and wisdom bestowed to him by the gods still fills him with an emphatic and emotional spirit. His compassion for others is astounding considering his young age (which is young even by scrub standards), and as a gifted healer, it's not surprising that he fits the part to a cliche end. For Reu, it's hard to become angry, and even when upset usually feels irritated before mad. However, the few times that Reu genuinely becomes angry, he shuts down and becomes emotionally unavailable, sometimes to the point of exploding in a conflagration of enraged fury and tears. Similar things happen with depression, sadness, and disappointment, minus the volatile behavior. Overall, he's a new person, with a new look on life and a new goal in his mind. He's taller, more mature, more skilled, and above all, more ready to take on the roles needed of him to be a legend among Hyrule's champions. Residence: Reu shares a small hollow within Kokiri Forest with two lovely Kokiri siblings. While their homestead is modest at best, all of the forest is really, and Reu loves the close, earthy atmosphere. Pet: None Backstory: Reu was born for the sole purpose of carrying on the traditions and roles of the Kokiri Protectors, and has always welcomed this predetermined path with open arms. From a very young age he understood what life would be handing him, and all of the responsibilities that would one day be entrusted to him. As such, he already knew that when his training started he would be leaving his family and living his own life with a Kokiri family that needed him. Still, this did not make the transition easy, and it was quite hard for him at first to make the switch from his childhood to a protector-in-training. There were many nights where he would have trouble sleeping, feeling out of place and foreign in another's home. Yet, with time, he grew a strong friendship with the Kokiri sisters he was placed with. After his training began, Reu caught on quickly to the art of wielding staves and potent healing magics. He's been given tons of hands on training under the careful supervision of elder protectors, mostly in the form of battles with forest threats and trips to Kokiri homes to heal the sick and injured. Mostly though, his training and interests peak through reading and hearing tales of other brave protectors that he's descended from.
Nice job, Nolan. I like it. Though, I am curious as to what happened to change his personality so. Anyway, this passes. I'm interested in reading more about these Kokiri Protectors, so I look forward to reading RP's with him. ACCEPTED
