Reflected in the Shadows of the Water [Bottom of the Well][Squishy & CJ]

Whipping around with a clenched right hand, Nicholas squarely struck the invisible foe in the center of it's malicious face, the metal fist shattering the bone. Pulling back his arm, the warrior turned with a grin. He couldn't hear anymore flapping, at least not in their immediate vicinity. "Many thanks," he told his ally with a smirk, "tricky things, but nothing we can't handle." His confidence in dealing with the fiends in this place were high, between the two of them it should be an straightforward task. The only hard part was navigating all these dark areas.

Stretching ahead of them was a widening of the room they stood in, and it seemed to crumble away into vaulted cavern. It seemed roughly carved, as if the builders had only slightly adjusted the natural cave to work into their own underground catacombs. Searching the walls nearby showed signs of sealed tombs in the wall, clearing marking this place as a resting place for the dead. The pit below seemed to sink into the abyss of the earth, but sparkling eerie glows far below suggested otherwise.

"I don't see any stairs," Nicholas muttered as he looked around. If he had the same second sight his companion held though, he'd see the very obvious invisible staircase that twisted down the face of the cliff side.
