    Name: Slink the Hidden

    Age: 20

    Gender: Male

    Race: Hylian

Place of Origin: Thief of the Lost Woods

    P/W/C: 3/1/4

    Treasures: Wall Walking
    (60+50 left over rupees)

    Height: 6' 2"

    Weight: 140 pounds

Equipment: A worn hooked sword retrieved from an ambush, a daggar

Appearance: Slink has short, brown hair, and blue eyes. He wears boots worn from extended use, and a green tunic to help blend in with the forest. Occasionally, he will wear a bandana he personally fashioned out of leaves and grass from the forest, but he wears the bandana on considerably humid days. All of his clothes are worn, as they are the only he owns, so there are many scratches and cuts on the clothes, but nothing large enough for Slink to need to get them repaired. Slink has several small scars on his body, most of them were obtained from unsuccessful stealing attempts as a child. Most notable is a large diagonal scar that runs from near the left corner of his left eye to the left corner of his lip, which he obtained from ambushing a warrior.

Personality: He tends to stay in a group consisting of only himself, as he travels the woods without any aid. But if he is presented in any situation where he cannot get out "unharmed" on his own, he will seek any and all aid. He is charismatic and friendly to people he trusts, but it is never seen until Slink chooses to accept that person as a friend or ally. When presented in a situation of danger, he will find attempt to find a way where neither party will be harmed, but he will benefit the most. This is moot when the danger moves to a point where he could possibly die, in which he will fight. There are three types of people to his eyes: friends, mostly those in the fortress whom they have gained his trust; prey, any unfortunate soul he comes across in the Lost Woods outside of the fortress; and customers, who are anyone he sees on the East side of the forest.

Residence: A house in the fortress. It has one room, with just enough room for a mattress that he sleeps on and room for various supplies, objects, and trinkets that he has obtained from ambushes.

    Pet: N/A

    Backstory:
When Slink was a baby, his parents were unfortunate travelers lost in the lost woods. To the people in the fortress, nothing is known about the parents except for that they were assaulted and stripped of all of their possessions, even their baby. The baby was taken back to the fortress and raised by multiple females, until he was a kid. Then, he was trained like a Spartan, where he was left on his own in the fortress, teaching him to steal from fellow Hylians in the fortress and to attack unfortunate passersby in order to survive. For his first few years of this, he stuck to only stealing, as he lacked the confidence, brutality, and equipment to attack any travelers. These tended to result in success, but occasionally events would not go his way and he would either get caught and flee before he could receive harsh punishment, or accidents would occur, both resulting in small scars, most of which he still has. When he had gotten the hang of stealing, Slink was given his name by the Hylians in the fortress after his ability to swoop in and snatch something without barely being seen, if at all.
When Slink was fourteen, he decided he was ready to start assaulting wanderers in the wood. Armed with only a daggar for protection, anyone who fell under his line of sight would wake up with nothing left, never knowing that it was Slink who attacked them. One soldier, who was wandering through the woods when Slink was about 18, noticed his approach and swung at Slink. His sword cut his face from the corner of his left eye stretching to the left corner of his lip, which he still has this very obvious scar. Knowing that he was in danger, Slink was forced to use his daggar on the warrior. Surprisingly, Slink considers this his most successful ambush not from the loot retrieved, but because the warrior was the only person who ever reacted to Slink before the were knocked out. He still uses the sword that cut his own face from the soldier as a better means of protection from hostile creatures in the woods.
Now, Slink currently runs a business on the east side of the forest. He sits in a tree located at around the center of the side, and surveys the north and south of him. He will uncommonly find anyone, but when he does, he approaches them. He will offer the person or group protection and guidance from the east to the west side of the Lost Woods for whatever price he desires, but he doesn't get too unreasonable. He figures out what mood he's in and how much money the traveler in question may have, and calculates how much money he figures he should make them spend. Regardless, people who use his services claim that the hefty toll was worth it. Anyone who refuses to pay, Slink will send them on their way, only to wake up dumped in a random part in the Lost Woods without any possessions just after they thought they were safe. Those who do not have or claim to not have enough rupees to pay the price will be bartered with for any valuables that Slink finds on them that he feels will pay the price. For anyone who pays him, he keeps his word and guides them through the woods. But once they have reached the destination, if for any reason during the journey he feels like he deserves more money, such as being accosted by a creature or almost being attacked by another thief, he will tax the party for a price that he feels it was worth. If a person pays the extra tax, they are free to continue to their destination west of the forest. If they refuse, they'll open their eyes to the trees of the woods and with no valuables left without knowing what hit them.
When he is not working, Slink practices all of his attacks and maneuvers that he has either learned or honed from years of practice. This practice is what allows him to be so stealthy and efficient when it comes to both hand-to-hand combat, or other forms of one-on-one fighting. He usually stays confined to the fortress, so the only unfortunate drifters in the wood that are in danger of him are those in the path between him and his post for his job. On work days, he wakes up early in the morning before the sun has risen, and travels through the wood to the eastern side so that he arrives when the sun starts rising. He leaves work in a similar fashion, but he leaves when the sun has set or cannot be seen through the thick foliage, as it is very hard and more unlikely to find customers in these conditions.

"stab a Hylian on the warrior" sounds awkward as hell, honestly. Also, just for clarification's sake, he killed this aforementioned soldier?

Yes, he stabbed the soldier. I'll rephrase the sentence for clarification.
